Transformers is a show that you can literally make Gore in kid’s show. Because Robot parts aren’t actual flesh organs. Means you can make extremely disturbing scenes and it still PG-13.
Same to the comics. You can´t believe the things you can get away with when the characters are robots. Look up how Scrounge and Ambulon died, in comics more than 20 years apart from each other.
The great thingin this movie is that it actually uses lore from different continuities to build it's own world/lore. Every single fan would find something here in this movie they will like. I'ma huge IDW fan, and can't describe how much Iove that they kept Megatron's D-16 low class mining bot origin. Sentinel was heavily inspired from the TFA's version of the chracter. Megatron, Orion being sworn brothers came from the Aligned continuity, just like Starscream bing part of the Prime's army, but leaving with his seekers, because he lost his respect he felt towards Sentinel. There are a ton of G1 refrences, like the Quintessons, cogless Transformers who are unable to transform, and regrettably they chose the G1 iteration of Shockwave (which pretty much lacks his most well known attributes, his logic, and his utter lack of morals, and empathy) Maybe you're right tho, I did not see any Bayverse influences (which is a positive in my eyes)
@@pepita2437 I only saw 1 Bayverse reference, and it was Sentinel´s sword. He hasn´t held an organix-style sword in every other iteration but Dark of the Moon.
@@danielmedela8725 There are four other Bayverse references in this movie. 1. Sentinel Prime betrays his fellow heroes just like in Dark of the Moon. Only difference is, he killed them out of greed & lust for power. 2. The Matrix of Leadership can crumble into dust just like in Revenge of the Fallen, if and only it senses the holder is unworthy. 3. When the badly injured Orion Pax falls in the chasm & into the core of Cybertron (Primus' spark), the surrounding landscape transforms exactly like the title logo for Dark of the Moon. Even the textures and geometry look exactly alike as well. 4. The moment Orion Pax's dying body enters the core of Cybertron, the spark ghosts of the 13 Primes manifest themselves and talk to him, allowing the Matrix to reform and manifest itself again. This is a reference to the scene in Revenge of the Fallen when Sam got killed trying to revive Optimus & went through the same thing Orion did.
5:36 It was their French revolution. And for people saying how Cybertron's problems were magically solved by killing "evil boogie man", it wasn't. It made another big evil boogie man, one that eventually destroys the planet
I like how you understood the true nature of this movie. That it explores some mature subjects and even has death and violence in the latter part of the movie as a consequence of the violence and evil bought upon a whole world.
As an old fan growing up watching the original G-1 series, I was shocked that this was actually a Great Transformers movie, The friendship and rift between Optimus n Megatron put on the big screen for the first time, no annoying human subplot , just genuine Robot that we like and missed. The kids like it, old timer like me appreaciate it ~~ Great Movie
I just watched it and it does bring more depth into characters. The OG cartoon series just shows Megatron and Orion but Megatron was already this twisted evil tyrant this is just over all a great way of telling the origins of Optimus and Megatron. from something classic from g1 to this fun new origin story it's such a good transformers movie
it would be cool to see the second film be the start of the war for cybertron between the autobots and decepticons and we get introduced to all the autobots be know and love and the third film in the trilogy be a timeskip to the near end of the war where peter cullen and frank welker are fully voicing optimus and megatron sicne it would be a couple 1000 cylces in the future.
I'm someone who wasn't really a fan of Transformers and I thought this movie was amazing. Very mature for its rating, reminded me of Magneto and Professor X
Just so you know A shot is any period of film without a camera movement A scene is a period of film where the immediate environment doesn't change but it can and is usually comprised of many shots A sequence is multiple scenes. So the period of film on cybertron during the movie bumblebee is a called a sequence not a scene. I figured knowing that would be useful to you..
@@kp1x Epic warzone that didn´t even need to happen, that Optimus allowed to happen, full of morbidly obese wreckers that had to team up to kill literal newborn Decepticons, and in which Optimus Warlord Prime stablished his record killing spree of over 30 enemies. Which is actually a little bit of a gripe of mine. They are literally cut off from the sky.Yet it feels like they're above ground with the way it's lit. See the biggest issues with live action films is that they’re forced to focus on the humans because it costs way to much to have transformers in most of the film. Being animated it’s a lot less budget for cgi then realistic so they can focus on the transformers. Much like the transformers prime predacons rising film
