This month a year ago I started the journey of going from shitty dad bod to athletic and now training to look like I actually workout. Single dad about to turn 40 in October and holy Sh*t has it been work. I'm enjoying the grind, it's become my zen place and when I don't workout I feel out of wack. Stumbled upon your channel about 2 months into my search for knowledge and found the grail of motivation. Thank you CBum for the inspiration. Thank you for having a heart as big as your stature, thank you for being an all around good human and leading by example. Cheers with my protein shake as I start Year 2 of this process. Still sore after every workout and still getting Lit off CBum Pre.🙏
@@GonAway7 how much protein you eat? i been going to the gym and lifting and everything and have built muscle but there's still fat there and it's not going away.
We all appreciate everything you do man. Myself, I thank you a thousand times over, for helping me stay disciplined on the days my motivation is shit. I’ve started tracking my diet, taking better care of health overall (especially getting more sleep) and tracking my lifts and dude the results have been crazy. I hope to meet you someday to thank you properly in person. Until then, carry on and keep kicking ass. Thank you!
This guy is insane i remember the first time i saw him. He is walking motivation and the fact he is such a nice dude and has respect to everyone. I wish him luck and hope he win the olympia again
I haven't decided yet if he is actually real. Even after meeting him I am unsure how a real human being in his position can be as humble, nice and genuine. (satire of course)
Chris, Wanted to let you know that I've found great inspiration in your videos when it comes to pushing yourself mentally when at the gym. Keeping a healthy and positive attitude is what has made the biggest difference in my fitness journey, and I've been consistent for coming up on a whole year. I started in October at 190 lbs with years of never feeling my best and always fluctuating weight; now I'm 156 lbs stronger than ever, looking and feeling my best while loving the process. Thank you for showing us how to elevate our own standards.
Arm development over the past 2 years is madness. Big respect , always great to see when guys bring up weaker area's of there physique. Great example of work ethic. 💪👊
Sincerely I don't really care who your coach is. The most important thing is that you are creating a new era of bodybuilding, keep winning and stay healthy. We need you in this industry. The rest is just not so important. Really admiring you, grettings from Italy! Really hope I can meet you one day. Antonio.
One rep max is only useful in competitive powerlifting. Since I quit powerlifting, I’ve learned that lower weight and time under tension is where it’s at. No joint or tendon pain anymore. I’m 37 and feel better than I did powerlifting at 25. People like Chis have helped me stay healthy.
For chest my absolute favorite plate loaded machine is the nautilus xpload vertical press, and for back my favorite would have to be a hammer strength iso lateral row the back pump is insane
Perfect timing! Im doing back and biceps tom! You have no idea how much you motivated me to become the best version of myself. I became serious in taking care of my health since I arrived here in Canada. Your videos mean so much to me! Go get that 4th brother!
Great video Chris, listening to u explaining proper training with masterful techniques and warning to take time with it to avoid injuries is key, I have had to at times, check my ego and lower the weight. Great stuff Chris 👌 awsome video.
Woah Chris! I had to replay three time just to make sure you said you wanna go dubai next year! Cant express how excited i am for that. Cant wait to see you in person one day!!
Seal rows from Bald Omni-man. Camber bar for that extra strech at the bottom on the bench + the larsen press, just a bench press whithout the leg drive. Have no idea if you have done these previously but here they are.
Hope you read this CBum, noticed the comment you made about vertigo. I used to get extreme virtigo. I Had it for years, would last 1-2 months. Dr's were no help, had to figure it out on my own. The trigger was alcohol. Haven't drank in almost 14 years now, and haven't had vertigo since I quit. Stress, poor sleep, and being run down were the precursors, and if I had a drink during that time it would trigger a vertigo episode. Thought I would share, there isn't enough information on true Vertigo and it's causes
chris you are an inspiration for all of us you have a brutal aesthetic for the size you have. You have motivated me to many things in my life and I wanted to thank you for that. keep writing your story❤
Thanks for the motivation Chris. You’re always giving positive vibes. Keep up the good work. What would it take for you to come to a followers gym and give some tips and ideas?
hey Chris at the part where you were talking about moving somewhere quiet and working reminded me of when Dorian Yates would move go to the UK just to train and be away from distractions. it was so sick when he talked about it in an interview.
Hey Chris love your content man. I just want to know that whenever I am working out nowadays I don't feel soreness in muscles. Is it a bad sign that my work outs aren't hitting any more? Please 🙏 reply
Hi! I’m not cbum but I’ve been lifting for a while. Soreness doesn’t indicate a good workout. You should be focusing on progress. Are you progressing in your lifts (while maintaining good form and a good diet that supports your goals?). You could be sore from workouts that aren’t that good and never sore from workouts that will get you big. I’ve been lifting for a while and I never get sore (like ever) but I still make progress!
The Hammer Strength plate loaded bench press is one of my go-tos for chest day For a row i like the Hammer Strength high row for mid upper back. Sometimes I throw a D-Handle on for better mid-upper lat.

Hey Chris - I think a really fringe but effective machine for your gym could be the Nautilus pullover machine. I remember Dorian Yates credited his machine for building his back as it allows you to isolate your lats like no other piece of equipment! Hope this helps!
For new machinery, you need to get that pec deck machine where you can adjust everything. Where you can bring it foward and back as well to target different parts of the chest. Cant seem to remember the name. Also standing leg curl machine. Trained at an old gym that had it and it works so well cause no lower back stress and can control the negatives so much better
Anyone else’s Siri pop up when Chris said “hey Siri” 🤣😂🤣 mine did and threw me for a loop for a couple seconds on what was happening…love the content C-Bum! You help keep me motivated dude. Heck yeah come to Arkansas! Natural state haha
You casually walking with a plate at 13:09 has me geeked lol it’s like it weighs nothing but the rest of us have to pretend it’s not heavy when we single hand carry them
For gym equipment you should get in contact with Jujimufu, he did the same thing you are wanting to do and sourced a bunch of his stuff from Panatta because of the recommendations he got.
i never see u use hammer machines much bro… they’re amazing! the hammer strength select seated row is an amazing machine i feel you will love in your gym.
Chris, checkout some of these units: Panatta Multi Flight, Nautilus Leverage Chest Press, ANYTHING from Atlantis. I’d love to help give more recommendations for equipment. I currently operate a private facility in NC
