I don't ride my bike before a psa test because the bike seat puts pressure on that region ...this is just anecdotal since i don't have data to back up my hypothesis.
Strenuous exercise within 48 hours of your blood test can elevate PSA…I read this on the NHS website in the U.K…no one from our NHS, not even my endocrinologist volunteered the information. Not good.
That’s too bad. Yes for sure it can but I thought it was only things like biking where something is pressing there? It can also spike from intercourse within 48 hours.
@@swintegrative Its ridiculously expensive, whereas a 10ml vial of 200mg/ml cost $57 with GoodRx. Any thoughts on controlling DHT while on TRT replacement with BPH
Thank you for explaining this. I am on been on TRT for years and my PSA test in 2019 was 2.3 then had it done few months ago and was now 4.8 My testosterone level has always been in normal range but the last two times was wicked high which concerned me so had testosterone checked again and it was back to normal range. So I am wondering if my high testosterone level is what cause my PSA to jump up. Plus I read that if you had sex before the test it raised your PSA level also.

No that is a real thing to avoid
my PSA is typically between 0.9-1.3 and my last test the estradiol was 32. Its been as high as 43. I donate blood every 8-16 weeks
you need anastrozole
Thanks for the info. Got to say though the camera stop start is quite distracting.
What about testosterone pellets? How do you feel about this method and its effect on PSA?
I don't use pellets much but would be the same as any testosterone in terms of PSA effect.

Any thoughts on Aveed for severe low testosterone and how to control PSA in someone with elevated PSA with BPH ?
have not used Aveed before

Certainly could be but there are a lot of variables and what really matters is wether or not it continues to go up and by how much.
All it means is you have bph
If your testosterone level has always been in normal range why are you on TRT?
Bph is 18.1 what does it have to do with my psa
I started trt 7 months ago psa was normal. Went to a 4, then 6.6. Dr recommends a biopsy. Thoughts? I’m not sure I want to do it…
Went to 4 from what starting point ?
Dont do it watch this video its a presentation on psa , presented by the founder of PSA value
th-cam.com/video/lTjs0K-q5Is/w-d-xo.html
That's how they make money.
Biopsies🤔
Then, chemo & radiation.
Then death......
I did the same. My PSA spiked after TRT. I had a biopsy, and came back negative.
More DHT=Hair loss
True
@swintegrative but only if you carry the baldness genes. DHT on it's own won't cause hair loss. It needs to interact with the baldness genes.
@@dominictucci6030 I'm still learning about all things hair loss related, so thanks for the information.
