- Watch a Caterpillar 312E make quick work of a two-story house. Bonus time lapse POV segment so you can see what the operator is seeing. Dumpster delivery and return to round out the activities. Enjoy!
Somebodys dream house at one time.
I'm sure it was, unfortunately. Thanks!
Great Video !!
So cool to see a machine work so easy. Hell of an operation. Thank for great video😊
I enjoy watching it myself while filming all day! Thanks for the compliment!
I demo houses all the time. Nice to see him keeping it all on the concrete instead of ripping it apart & letting it fall all over the ground. I would stop after the garage & alittle of the house & load out my first dumpster keeping the work area clean as I go.
Good to hear from someone else in the business. He usually loads out as soon as the dumpster arrives. Couldn't get service until later in the morning. Thanks for the input!
I really appreciate the careful and efficient way you work.
Appreciate the compliment! Charlie, the operator is a pro! I'll let him know! Thanks!
Another outstanding video!!!
Thank you, and thanks for the continued support!
Crazy to think that house was someone’s whole world.. now gone
Lot of memories in there, I suppose! Thanks!
Have a good day Anthony 👍
Plot twist……it’s the wrong house.
🤣😂🤣😂
Lol! Wait, that's not funny!
Thanks again for sharing - your demolition videos are just amazing. What happend to the fridge? And thanks to the operator to let us see the cab view.
Thank you for the compliment on my videos! Think the fridge was removed the next day before I got a chance to catch it. There was a microwave from the 80's as well. Cab view was his idea. I may try to get more of that in the future. Thanks!
They do that in my old neighborhood. They build duplexes in its place and double their money.
This house sits on a half-acre. They wanted to build two new houses, but the city said no. Duplex not allowed either. Thanks!
I love how you do not abuse your equipment
Charlie, the operator, is very respectful of the equipment. Things get expensive when you have to repair these things. Thanks for noticing!
Great work nice machine!
Thank you! I'll pass that on to Charlie, the operator.
It's kind of sad to think a family or 2 probably had Christmas and Thanksgiving etc in that house over the years. There it goes.
I think the same way. I've talked to several neighbors while filming and get to hear lots of history. Thanks for the comment!

Sorry John, it's not this house, it's the house next-door 😉 😂
Lol!
PS. I like how gingerly the excavator stacks all the pieces in the garage, like a bird building a nest
Never thought of that, great analogy!
Good job sawrus
Thank you!
Karen next door trying to run you off with the water hose!
So neat and tidy lol
Try to keep things nice for the neighbors. Thank you!
I almost feel sorry for this house! 😂
I feel the same way. Each one makes me want to restore rather than demo.
@@williamnorried2193 ok, this is going to be a boat load of work but you could come back 6 months later or whenever and film the new “life” of the lot.
Not sure it will be popular 🤷♂️
But that way you almost show an evolution from an old and scraggly house to a new build.
Think I may give it a try. Thanks for the idea!
That's one way to deal with squatters
Yes, a neighbor caught some people trying to move in! Made a call. Thanks!

Agree! Much better than politics!
I don’t know what they would have done without that sprinkler.
🤣
Easy dust control, I guess. Thanks!
I wish I could do that for a living. When we moved to Missouri there was an old metal shed that wasn't in good condition and my wife said we need to get rid of it. No problem out comes the tractor and I had it down in seconds. All bent up into a small pile to put in a roll off.
The hard thing would be to not go around looking for things to smash! It is fun to watch! Thanks for the story!
Hey there I enjoyed your video. Looked like a perfect machine for the job.
What camera are you using and what editing software are you using? Thanks. New Subscriber
I have a Sony A6700 with a Sigma 18-50 lens. Using CapCut to edit but may switch to DaVinci Resolve. New to all this and still don't learning the camera and editing. The demo videos give me a chance to practice. Thanks for the good words and input!
@ I switched from Adobe Premiere Pro to Davinci Resolve and love it. No more $60.00 a month for Adobe.
That's sounds like a great move! I'm going to use Davinci on one of the next ones for comparison. Thanks!
Hope it was the correct house. More like a "matchstick house," seems to be poorly constructed; however it does convenient facilities -- toilet on front porch.
Yes, they double check, thankfully! What you see on the porch is a water hose reel box with the lid up. Does look like a toilet, now that you mention it! Thanks!
Tôi rất thích video của bạn. Một cỗ máy làm việc thật cẩn thận và chi tiết ❤❤
Thank you for the good words! Charlie, the operator, is very skilled!
What was so wrong with the house that it needed to be completely demoed? Seems to look good!
The guy that owned this home was his competitor, he wanted to show him that his craft isn't shit.
Home was perfectly livable and nothing was wrong. These homes are located in a very expensive city and are being replaced with huge houses. I plan on making videos in the near future to show what they are building and why. Thanks!
Yeah boss 737 park ave. We're all done here. Whats that? 747 park ave??? Umm, well...
Yes, very funny! And you know that has happened, right?
Can everything be put in one big pile?
wood, insulation, plasterboard, roofing, glass.
It doesn't need to be sorted?
Going to a landfill. No sorting necessary.
Everything gets sorted and separated off site. Small percentage actually ends up in landfill. Thanks!
@@williamnorried2193 Does it get recycled?
Yes, lots of valuable stuff in those containers. Wood, metal, copper, aluminum, concrete from foundation makes gravel, etc. Thanks!
Sure come down faster than they go up.
Especially with a large machine. Thanks! By the way, wife and I got a kick out of your channel name!
I guess they want to make houses great again! 🤷♂️
8 months to build just to meet this fate? How many homeless vets do we have ?
I am a vet and have been trying to get a house for 12 years. Now they are to expensive to buy $500,000 or more
A new house will be built again in the same place, only much larger. I agree that there should be more emphasis on affordable single-family homes. Vets should have first pick, in my opinion, not investment companies. Thanks!
How many roll-off containers does it take to haul away a house of this size?
4, 50 ft containers for a 3500 Sq ft home.
I think this one had 4-5. I should keep count on the next ones. Thanks!
How many news does it take to change a light bulb
@@elainerussell924 are you dumb to answer it yourself
The house sold in May 2024 for $1.4 million. The lot is a half-acre, and the sale reflects the value of the lot, not the structure, which was 44 years old and severely neglected.
They wanted to put more than one house on the lot, but the city said no. I would have kept the house and planted a big garden. Thanks for the comment!
@@williamnorried2193 so if they build a new house can they recover their money. ?
Yes very much so $40.000 tear down build 2 million dollar house
Plenty profit
Yes, the new house will be valued at over four million. Developer made the purchase. Thanks!
There is plenty of profit to be made on these. Thanks!
That a good way to get rid of squatters !

@@Failure_Is_An_Optionexactly what does this comment have to do with Trump?
Squatters actually tried to move in. A sharp-eyed neighbor put a stop to that. Thanks!
That’s an old house to not have painted the walls in the garage over all them years. It even looks like wood siding. Lol
As the drywall gets darker, you just install a brighter lightbulb! Lol! Thanks for pointing out!
this hurts me takeing it down.
Honestly, I don't like it myself. I remember working on these types of houses long ago and it hits me every time! Thanks!
Looks like it was built in the 70’s.
Yes, it does have that look. Thanks!
Oh!... We thought you said 1420 South Street? ... Oops!😅
Lol!
I wanna see the house or building that gets built here
DOLLAR STORE
I plan to do some follow up videos of work in progress soon. Thanks!
Some back story would be nice as well. The house looks fairly nice, why is it being tore down?
Was thinking the same thing
The property is worth more than the structure that currently exists. They are building a much larger and more modern house in its place. Thanks for asking!
I would have been happy leaving it as is myself. Thanks for joining in!
I remember when those skylights were a hit. You really don’t see them much on new construction anymore. Probably too leaky.
They were all the rage, back in the day. Leaks, and hard to clean. Look up from inside to see dirt and leaves stuck. Atrium windows in the kitchen were a thing as well. Thanks!
I’m a girl and I find this interesting
That's cool to hear! I need more female viewers. Thanks!

Oh crap! We're at the wrong address?!
It's OK it was full of immigrants
Can't imagine hearing that for real!
Yep, that what’s fixing to happen to mine. In about 8 months or so . Build my house 19 years ago. An now fixing to be pulled apart. And destroyed. Sad
Don't like to hear that. Hard work gone in minutes. Thanks for sharing!
Was this a former meth lab ?? This house doesn’t look like a typical tear down. It’s actually in great shape
dom z papieru
Or maybe its making way for a new road.
It was in great shape. The owner actually moved to another place and left this unoccupied for over 15 years. Developer bought the house for the land. They will replace with a house that will sell for over 4mil. Each house tells a story. Thanks!
Let's see the clean lot.
I may do follow up videos on these sites soon. Just need more time in the day. Thanks!
I see no basement to dig out. Easy money!
And no septic to worry about either. Went quick! Thanks!
They wouldn't knock my house down that fast. Built in 1914, all structural beams are seriously thick hard oak. These houses they build today today are junk. No wonder they float away and sin k when they get flooded.
Sounds like you have a nice place! I always say, if they built them like they used to, you couldn't afford to buy it. There is compromise. Thanks!
@@williamnorried2193 No doubt, The rebuild value of my home was ridiculous when I checked into it. I was told my flood insurance would not pay the rebuild value but only the appraisal value. So I drastically reduced it.
I understand your reasoning. Would never be able to replace it as it is currently. Keep it protected as much as possible. Thanks!
seen alot worse still standing, lol. Wonder what the story is here... didnt look that bad.. people near me have been flipping houses far worse than this... shame...
The property has become extremely valuable in the last few years. This was purchased for around 1.4mil and will be replaced with a much larger house around 4mil. Family neighborhood turning into tech worker neighborhood. I plan on making a couple of videos soon explaining everything. Thanks!
Why are you tearing the house down?
Get my comment, please
The house was purchased mainly for the property it sits on. They will be building a much larger and more modern house in its place. House was in very good condition.
See my post below, my friend!
What an absolute waste of materials.
Most of this will get recycled. Thanks for the comment!
Nope not at all. Out with the old in with the new
@@williamnorried2193bull, it's going into a landfill

Wrong version or just misleading description
If you are referring to the "time lapse segment" in the title, maybe I should adjust. Didn't mean that the entire video was time lapse. Thanks!
Good thing they never wasted time or money painting the interior of the garage.
Good eye! Money saving, I guess! Thanks!
All landfill ?
They take everything to a processing station and sort. Small percentage makes it to the landfill. Thanks for asking!
How come not loading it on a truck
They push it down and crush it to smaller pieces before filling dump containers. Also, the containers could not be there until the next day. Thanks!
Why was it torn down??
To make way for a much larger and more modern home. Thanks for asking!
The garage door was off its track. Too expensive to fix
Ugly, poorly built. The usual reasons.
Lol!
New home that will be three times the size. Paid for the property.
Must be nice getting paid for a job most people wouldn't mind doing for free. That's gotta be all kinds of fun. I 'd have my grandson along with me in the cab.

Alright then.
Thanks man!
What was so wrong with this house that it had to be leveled? All through the video I watched for rotten timbers and other such damage. I saw none. What gives?

Not much fire resistant material there ! 🤔
No unfortunately, many new homes install a sprinkler system. Thanks!
I see homes in the USA are all wood or plaster board.
Why don't they use more block or brick.
Because we have lots of timber. Homes are usually made from locally available materials.
Mostly cost of construction and easy options for upgrade later. Thanks!
Also true, Thanks!
@johnhyde8892 This is not exclusive to USA. I just watched a man in Norway do the same. I watched guys assembling a manufactured home... same structure. Japan. Same structure. Cite which society still primarily builds with block or brick.

On the road, on the asphalt, there is a sign - an instruction. In Russian, indicating that this (bushes) must all be removed. Probably contractors from Ukraine. (In Ukraine they speak and write Russian).
If you are referring to the white arrows, those are to show where the utilities underground need to be located. Thanks for noticing! I plan on pointing those out on future videos.
@@williamnorried2193 I am sure that the arrows on the road and the three letters say that the bushes and EVERYTHING near the road need to be removed. And they have nothing to do with engineering systems.
In this area, Washington State, USA, we have to paint the corners of the property with white arrows to show the utility companies where to mark out what they have in the ground, so we don't hit anything when digging. The bushes won't get removed per direction from the city. The three letters are the initials of the contractor that needs the location performed. Thanks for feedback!
