This is music is probably why Cosmic Cove Galaxy is one of my favorites. It's so mysterious while soothing and relaxing. It matches so well with the scenery of the level and I like that elder penguin who just stares off into space as if wondering why the Galaxy is the way it is. Nice song 👌🏼
This is probably my favorite galaxy out of both 1 and 2. The peaceful music and the level design is the perfect combination for scratching that itch in my brain, y’know? It’s just so soothing in the middle of the rest of the chaos in the game and I love it.
I still go back to the end planet on the 2nd star here just to stare into sparkle of the power star silhouette mixed with the swirl of cosmic colors with this playing in the background. The last time I was that compelled by a piece of game music was the Surf theme in Pokemon Gold/Silver. Of course we didn't have TH-cam back then.

@@Aqua.man045 Disagree. Galaxy 1 has more going for it. Galaxy 2 is better at making good levels, arguably the most important part of the game, but Galaxy 1 is a genuine adventure. The Observatory is a better hub world than Starship Mario, the story it tells with Rosalina and the Lumas is better, the atmosphere (pun intended) of the first game is better... it's just that Galaxy 2 is an uninterrupted stream of basically perfect levels.

I commented this somewhere else and I think I need to say it again. I am 19 years old and I played this when I was 12 approximately. This game is one of my favorite platformers, if not my favorite. I played it so much and this is no lie, I heard this music when I was sleeping without physically hearing it. I don’t know how logical it seems to have legitimately hear music in your sleep, but I seriously did. Amazing song and my favorite galaxy in the series other than toy time. I love both Super Mario Galaxy games so much, a perfected form of the platforming genre.

So, you gracefully walk up to them and ask to be their mother. Soon enough, after a long and anxious wait, they say yes. You take them to your hotel room and show them around. After finishing the main room, you take them to their bedroom. They “scream” with joy as they lay down in the bed and take a nap. After that, you go downstairs and take the segway around the hotel. You’ve finally found peace. That peace was taken away when you had to disconnect from the server. You said your final goodbye to your child and leave roblox. After all, you’ll have good memories to take alongside with you.
This song will always be known to me as the make or break 602 run song where you've been up 18 hours straight OR MORE feeling like a complete zombie after playing SM64 / Galaxy 1 & Sunshine just this game left then this song comes on... Good luck not falling 😴.
If this played while I floated through the endless expanse of outer space, I’d be pretty content with it. Close your eyes and imagine you’re just floating around peacefully and think about watching the stars shine and sparkle as you slowly and gently hover around among the stars. No worries, no enemies, no violence, just you and the ever present expanse of outer space and the wonders that you’ll get to see. It sounds like paradise, and I hope that someday we’ll be able to do something like that without having to worry about our bodies being destroyed by the sheer forces of outer space… but I guess while we wait for that, we can just enjoy the childhood memories and nostalgia that this beautiful and magnificent piece of music brings to life.

Cosmic Cove was my favourite level. I came back to it SOO many times after I beat the game because I loved swimming and skating around so much

There's the voices, (the oohs in the melody) and i feel like there's a violin like tune somewhere in the song at another point.
