This is my second year growing dahlias, and first year growing cuttings. I got mine today and have them potted up by a sunny window, but was hesitant to put them under grow lights with the comment in the instructions that they are sensitive to UV light. I would also be interested in seeing a video of planting them in their final destination!
I personally was hesitant putting them near real light. At least that was my thinking. They were under my lights until just a couple days ago when I started to slowly expose them to more sun. They loved the lights and were just inches away the entire time. Maybe I lucked out but I noticed things in my house need the lights because our windows aren’t in the best locations. I will for sure be making an update video on these. Btw, which cuttings do you have?
So beautiful!! Update for my tubers from Swan Island - Some are much slower than others but happy they all came up! Didn’t know cuttings can be purchased - thanks for the info as always!
Oh no!! I am seeing a little black spots on one, but so far I don’t want to rule it as a disease. We just filmed a dahlia planting video so you’ll see mine.
I’m so excited for you! I was hoping you would do this video after your dahlia order video for 2022! I have close to 50 tubers started in pots, most are from Swan Island. I’ll be planting them all out in the garden on Mother’s Day! ❤
@@InTheGardenWithClaudia Good Morning, Claudia 💓 Florida is getting too hot already. I garden early in the morning and that's my limit. My tomatoes are bearing heavily already. Once the night temperatures are in the high 70°'s they will stop blossoming. But, for now we are eating fresh salad, daily 👩🌾👍🌿💚🌿 You must be busy with your work and garden. I haven't seen you on my list recently. Take care, My Friend 💓
I received my Stonehouse cuttings about a month ago and have had them inside, under lights while waiting to plant out. They’re over a foot now and full. This was my first year ordering cuttings. Very happy with the results so far!

Can you do an update on the KA cuttings that you have received. There’s many people that are having viruses/diseases on their KA cuttings from SH.

Yes! Mine were sent with TSWV and thrips. Infected my other plants and other dahlias. 😔
