Any idea what the spec is for piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance? I can’t find it anywhere. Thanks

This video had a chance to be really helpful if you didn't do the playback at 8x. You already had the video recorded why did you speed it up so fast and why not do a commentary about what you are doing and why. Could have been so much better. Thank you anyway for the video, it did help me out and I do appreciate the time you took to make the video.

I know this is an old video but I'm currently rebuilding a 902. Question I have is did you use any type of sealant on the plate that holds the crank rear main seal? It came with a type of metal crush gasket but this is going in a bobcat and would have to be taken back out if it leaked. Thanks in advance

Good video. Question. When you do the timing does the No. 1 Cylinder have to be at TDC with Intake valve open to set marks? Or you just set the mark.s I did not remove any gears as i only wanted to hone the cylinders, chang rings and bearing on crank and replace gaskets. I may be off a bit b/c now witht he head on my piston is hitting the exhaust valve and won't turn all the way. The book I bought and paid for for reguilding has no directions on seting the timing besdies picture of aligning the marks up. I appreciate the help.

No the only time you have to have TDC is to set the valve lash. If the piston is hitting the exhaust valve it's definitely out of time, theres 3 gears that need to be timed, the crank, the cam, & the fuel pump, to time them there is an idler gear in the middle of the 3 of them & each gear is marked with dots, depending on how many dots you have to line the center gear to the other gears that match the same amount of dots & then that will time the engine
If you've lined them up correctly & you're still having problems something else is wrong, double check that the push rods are in the proper position & that something isn't on top of the tappets & make sure the valves have the right valve gap
If you have any more questions or still having problems let me know!
