We need more than 12 mins!!! 😂 y’all should do a long video about getting into predator hunting and all the equipment you need to get started and make a list for those who want to get into it! I love y’all’s podcast I listen to all of them keep up the great work!

Found this podcast looking for info on the 6arc. Found exactly what I didn’t know I was looking for. Podcast detailed towards predator hunting in Texas and guns. New favorite channel on TH-cam. Keep the episodes coming!🙌🏻

6 ARC is the same price as 6.5 Creedmoor and the juice is not worth the squeeze. For fox and coyote, just smack em with 223 Remington varmint rounds. If you are culling hogs, 300 blackout with the Barnes 110 or the Hornady 110 CX, 308 Winchester or something similar.

I just bought a build off someone, 20in proof research barrel 22 nosler, sig tango 6x24x50 1st docs plane scope. Haven’t killed with it yet but I can’t wait till I do

I tend to lean towards the 6.5 Grendel. I can’t find ARC but can find Grendel. Works in pigs and deer.

The .22 Hornet in the Ruger M77/ All Weather bolt action. Using a 45 grain bullet is a superb varmint rifle within 250yds. From Javelinas, Yotes, Bobcats etc. - A great critter gett’er! Also is the cheapest to hand load as well.

Any update on the 22 creedmoor book? Do you have a time line, or are you still testing?

I’ll probably be done gathering data after this summer, then we will start working on it.

@Texas Predator Hunting W.D.C was about to ask same question! Looking to build a shorter barrel 22 creed for suppressed use with 75eld. Was curious to powder to use to get the most efficiency out of the short barrel with the 75.
      We need that book! 🙂

Me personally I’m a big advocate for the .204. I use Hornady 40 gr superformance varmint. Gentle on furs while being strong enough that I’ve yet to experience a dog surviving it.

      I 2nd the .204 it's so underrated, I also like 22-250. 👍

Here in Alabama I know ove several deer that have fell ot the 204 with Hornady 45 grain .
      It is legal here.
It may have been the 40 grain psp, it was a long time ago.

I have owned a 204 since they were released killed many critters .I hand load 35gr berger for mine 40gr vmax are the ticket on coyotes

@@ctx_fishing1 I love 22-250 for coyotes. If I'm going just for dogs that's generally my go to, but usually when I hunt I shoot about everything that comes to the call because usually if I'm out calling it's for a contest.

    • @pop42069

@@jeffreywilson690 personally I wouldn't ever shoot a deer with one but I have no doubt in my mind that it can and has been done ethically and sufficiently.

I like my 25-06 with 81gr shock hammers. It has the BC of a ping-pong ball but lordy it is minute of hair out to 350yds. Mpbr is 307yds on a 4" target at 3535fps and is the polar opposite of fur friendly. Its kinda gross what it will do to a 75# hog at 100yds. This barrel is getting close to being shot out and when it's gone I will probably go with a fast twist 25-06AI and use this new to me 25-06 load to fireform in the new chamber. Hopefully hammers will stay together in a 1:7.5tw.....hopefully
If I were buying my first varmint rifle it would be a 22-250 in a howa with a 1:9tw. A 6arc bolt gun from howa would be a good choice also. Throw a timney trigger in it and call it good. Yeah 22creed is better but for a new hunter who doesn't reload the 22-250 is hard to beat.
Oh and everyone needs a 223 in a bolt gun and AR15.
