Hi. I am an undergraduate student. Do you think a remote internship would be too much now beside the undergraduate? Or should a student apply after completing their degree?

Hi lamia. Can you please tell me the duration of the internship? I mean to ask can we work only 3to 4months. Because even if I got selected I would have my board exams so don't think I could continue for 6months.
Hi Sudikshya, the duration of each internship varies. Some are 3 months, some are 4 and most are 6 months long. It should be indicated on the Terms of Reference/job description. For more information on this, you can email: internship@unicef.org

I'm facing difficulties in uploading my highest level certificate
And this because our university results given out in PDF for no transcript or certificate
What should I do
Hi Jafari, I think you should write down all the classes you've taken with the grades you received and then add that to the PDF they give you. (Compile it into one PDF document.) If you can, try to get it authorised by an official, just so that you can prove that you actually received those grades.
Sorry to bother you but can you please answer me what should I fill in highest level of education certificate currently I m in 3rd year of my degree should I submit my 2nd year certificate or something else?
Hi Aniroop, I think you should upload your most recent academic transcript (preferably with grades). When I was in uni, I could download my academic transcript at any time - perhaps your uni has a similar system.
Under the 'education' section in your application, it should also be indicated that you're currently in your 3rd year.

1...most of the internships I see at the UN require a background in political science, social science, public administration, or international relations, but my background is mathematics, but my background is mathematics, so it's been very confusing to decide which internship to apply for; therefore, Could you please guide me on what to do in such a situation?

I am a co-founder of a cleantech company, and I recently completed my master's degree from one of the top university in the country. I am also a national rank holder in Mathematics. In a nutshell, I have professional and volunteer experience, as well as a strong academic background.

1. I understand that the majority of internships are aimed at candidates with a background in social sciences and international relations, however, there are some internships that seek candidates with a STEM background. This (jobs.unicef.org/en-us/job/557761/finance-internship-remote-in-person-new-york-hosted-funds-ecw-finance-6-months-req557761) internship is in Finance. Have a look at it and if you happen to have experience in stats, economics and/or finance, then you could convey that in your cover letter and CV. I'd also encourage you to look at other international organisations that especially need people with STEM backgrounds - World Bank, IMF, OECD, WTO. I won't falsely promise you that it'll be an easy journey, but I definitely think it's worth a try!

I'd like to think you would be considered with good grades, Jafari. Apart from academic performance, there are other variables - prior experience, languages etc. Best of luck with your applications!
