    Beautiful truck. The lights on top of the front fenders are driving me nuts though. They are supposed to be on when the parking lights are on, meaning that square light on the fender is dual function.

    Thanks for doing a video on the additional features. I have seen people doing this but they never posted on how they did it. So your video is a great help! Btw can the MFC 01 be modded to have features that are available on MFC 03?

    Will the video series that you did for the King Hauler work for the grand hauler and can you do an MFC set up on a pistol grip controller

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, King Hauler and Grand Hauler setup is the same. You can use pistol grip controllers that have 4 or more channels and dual rate programming features but I don't have any here. I just prefer stick radios for trucks.

    Also connecting the shift servo directly to the receiver compared to connecting it to the MFC, what is the difference? Might be a stupid question. If so I apologize.

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No such thing as a stupid question! If you hook it to the MFC then the shift will be on the left transmitter gimbal. I prefer it on a 3 position switch. In reality I almost always drive these trucks in 1st gear all the time, otherwise they are very fast.

    Hi Bob! Hope you can help. I was excited to purchase my first Tamiya truck and I wanted to get the MFC unit but I seem to be running into issues right off the bat. Right now I have the Tamiya Cascadia EVO, Tamiya 4YWD Radio (as recommended in the kit), 2 futaba S3004 servos, and the Tamiya MFC01 Multifunction unit. I wanted to test the servos to make sure they were in neutral so I connected the MFC01, servos, 4YWD receiver, and 7.2V 1200 mAH battery to the MFC unit. When you turn the radio and control unit on all that happens is the servos buzz. That's it. On further review, I have now found out that the Futaba and the Tamiya 4YWD radios have been discontinued. SO...1. do you know what might be causing the issue I'm currently having?, and 2, if these radios have been discontinued, do you know what Radios are compatible with the MFC units? I'm a huge Futaba fan as I've used their radios for all my kits for years. Maybe you might have a suggestion. Love your videos FYI...you explain them well. Hope you can help. Thank you!

      You might try hooking the servos directly to the receiver and powering it up to bypass the MFC. Sounds like the problem may be the radio. I don't like those old slide trim analog radios myself. I use these www.ebay.com/itm/233423573608

      @@HobbyconceptsLLC Thanks Bob...appreciate the response. I'll try what you suggested and see if that works. If I went with your suggestion on the radio, looks like that radio only ships to the USA and I'm in Canada. What would be required to ship it to Canada?

    Can you tell me how i can do this and have the throttle on the right stick and steering on left stick ? i was able to get it to shift into neutral and use the horn but i cant get the light functions to work

      Best to set it up the way I show it. Reversing the sticks could be done but the standard setup is the way I show it.

    You showed that you can shut the truck off from the radio, can you then start it up again from the radio without having to touch the truck?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, just repeat the same stick movements. You can also just turn off the radio to shut down truck and then turn it on again to start up (which I find easier)

      Thanks, I thought it might be like that but wasn’t sure 👍

    and the reverse function? with white light and buzzer ?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they are both there. You can hear the backup beeper in a few places (although I turn the volume down for the videos). The King Hauler does not have a bumper location for the back up light but it comes in the MFC package and just plugs in.
