      @John Hebert Those so called honest businessmen are already in bed with the mob for this to happen. A lot of guys get in over their head gambling or make the mistake of borrowing money from the mob so it's their fault. The Italian mafia isn't committing street crimes or going after businesses they're giving people enough rope to hang themselves with and the dumb ones put their head in the noose. Are they bad guys? I'm sure many are but you have a choice to not get involved with them.

      I'm not sure how one would evaluate his intelligence compared to others based of a TH-cam video.
      But, it's not about being smart or a lack thereof. He may "sound" like he makes sense when referring to arguments with respect to how to make people think you're right.
      But he doesn't know what makes an argument logically valid and/or sound. Most people dont.

      What words mean rarely matters in the real world? I'm sorry, but I don't think you experience enough of the world to know that. I know that sounds like an insult, and there may be no way for me to prove it's not, but it's not.
      "Semantics" is the conduit of communication that allows the constitution and law to apply itself without inconsistencies and contradictions in language.
      You can't address one court case, construct a single law, write a single theorem, or develop a single solution with the application of formal and lexical semantics.
      It just seems unimportant because you don't know what it is when you use it.

(This was in 90-96 ) I remember going through the staff chow line where Sonny worked , and he would ask me what vegetables I wanted? The negotiation took more than 20 years to conclude. For $103 mill, it's probably worth the hassle. But for college fund, you'll be spending a lot more on the lawyers than the money you get.
      PS: I know you were joking.

    • @aabidamn
      @aabidamn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Reformed Ex-DrugTrafficker Killed by the CIA? Not a chance. A lot of other people have evaded tax and stole a lot more money from the government, yet they still breathe and walk freely in the US. It is more likely that there would be rogue agents asking for a cut from him.

    • @aabidamn
      @aabidamn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Reformed Ex-DrugTrafficker Walter Anderson, Leona Helmsley. Both are dead now but lived long after their conviction. Practically every US military contractor are stealing money from the government through mark up practices yet the companies and their VPs are still breathing. Regardless what you saw and read on the internet, the US is not a tyrannical country where they can easily kill their own citizen. Edward Snowden is considered a traitor on the highest level by the US government, yet he is still alive amd breathing at the moment.
      Your turn. Name the tax evaders that has been killed by the government.

    • @aabidamn
      @aabidamn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Reformed Ex-DrugTrafficker Huh...I thought he died a few years ago. So he is ALIVE then. As for Leona Helmsley, she was convicted in 1992, released from prison in 1994, and died at the age of 87 in 2007. And your conclusion was that she died not by natural cause just after she got out of prison?
      She evaded tax while Franzese didn't pay the taxes he collected. Basically they are pretty much the same. And Franzese himself is still alive and well at the moment, so your theory about people are getting killed over tax conviction is pretty much out of the window.

Especially Joey coco Diaz, his stories are all detailed it will make you question what? How? How do you remember that day so well. Crazy lol but it’s still so interesting and fascinating to hear how people lived back then. I guess that’s what makes a story interesting is adding those little details.

    During the pandemic I'm glad to have found interviews by Patrick Bet-David with various ex-mobsters. I'm binge watching now! The difference between Patrick and others that interview these very same guys is the fact that he listens, doesn't interrupt and above all; has a sense of respect. These are only some reasons that I've become an instant fan.

You think stealing and extorting tens of millions of dollars (probably more like hundreds of millions or even billions) from people and being a leader in am organized gang that robs and murderers people is "small time"?? You think he become a leader in the mob from solely committing "small time" crimes? There's a reason he only talks about the crimes he was convicted of or those that the statute of limitations have expired. Michael Franzese really speaks his mind very effectively. He was in medical school before he began his mob life so obviously he was intelligent enough to be an excellent earner for the Columbo crime family of New York.
    At a very young age he became a captain and one of the highest earners since the day's of Al Capone.
    It is fortunate Michael married a Christian lady and during his prison sentence he had a real conversion and he openly shares his faith and wisdom to others. Always enjoy listening to his interviews and gain insight into the life he once led and the life he currently leads. He's one of only a few that lived to tell about it. He never testified against another mob associate, all he did was make a plea with the Government so he could re-establish his life and move forward. He still has to be careful of his surroundings, but he doesn't have to live like Phillip Leonetti from the Philadelphia/New Jersey crime family who became a rat testifying for the Government against his mob boss uncle little Nicki Scarfo.
