My father's father immigrated from Calabria, Italy at the thurn of the 19th/20th century and settled in the Bronx. For the mafia, he was the guy you had to give the password to in order to enter the Speakeasy. What upset my father about the movie was the language. Dad blurted out, "My father would slap me across my mouth if he ever heard me talk like that! Why do they always make Italians use bad language when they talk?" I suggested that it was because they were the bad guys and bad people swear. No one in my family were in the mob but my grandfather did work for them as the guy at the door.

I worked with him in Puerto Rico, New York, Washington D.C. I have to admit that he had me going for a while until he began telling the same story he had told me to others, but changed the circumstances. Example; he told me he met with Pablo Escobar over that murder he committed in Vegas. He said he met Escobar in a restaurant he owned in Medellin and he recognized him immediately, gave him a pass, then invited him to his home for the weekend. Then he told the same story, only he met Escobar in a church in Bogotá, and Escobar recognized him right away and offered to take him to his home but Russo feared for his life and said he was filming a movie in Miami, so Pablo had his pilot fly Giannni back to Florida. Now I hear him tel Vlad that he was beaten and tortured by Escobar’s men? Anyone who falls for this is stupid. He wants people to think he’s a wiseguy. Watch “The Offer” and see how Al Ruddy cast Gianni Russo’s part and how he’s portrayed. That’s Al Ruddy setting things straight. He’s called a schmuck in the series for a reason. Has the man lived an incredible life meeting famous people? Popes, Presidents, Kings & Queens? Yes. But takes what he says and cut it in 1/3. All of these stories are for entertainment purposes only. He also got caught recently lying about the 2020 election being rigged, referring to the boss of Philadelphia as “Skinny Nicky”. It’s Skinny Joe Merlino. Russo became careless over time and is easily debunked.

PROFILE OF A TOUGH GUY. And I know many
      - Here I will tell you about a man named Sam . Sam was born in Italy. During the second world war the USA bombed Italy and during one bombing raid Sam's dear mother and father will killed, leaving 10 year old Sam alone in a world of destruction and misery along with his five younger brothers and sisters. Standing in the bombed out rubble it total despair Sam was terrified: No place to go, no place to eat for his little family; Little Sam scratched though the ruins and and worked until he was exhausted and sick..never quitting-- to get some food for his brothers and sisters; desperate little children dressed in rags digging in the garbage for whatever they could find with their older 10 year old brother leading them. From that day on until everyone one of his little family was old enough to care for themselves-- Sam worked hard and honestly without stealing or killing anyone to feed and clothe his sweet orphaned family. Finally when they were all old enough to care for themselves--Sam moved to America. And went to work immediately at honest labor and built a thriving construction business....I met "tough guy" SAM COPANI when he was in his late sixties, when he hired me to work for him. Sam worked circles around me even at his advanced age and was a wonderful kind and honest man . This man and others like him from all over the world built this wonderful country of ours without robbing ,stabbing, murdering, and preying on fellow American like vultures---as do the like of this other Sam on this video who talks like some man of great wisdom and makes money bragging about his beastly life style. Wake up people..grow up .One of sams son's sons is a lawyer the other is in restaurant business..all honest law abiding citizen the like of which bult up this country...not tear down and destroy..THANKS SAM COPANI GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY FROM A CALBRESE FORMER MEMBER OF THE ITALIAN CIVIL RIGHTS LEAGUE CHAPTER 5

Physical adversity in childhood can give a person a different perspective as an adult. Following the pandemic we can imagine how difficult it was to quarantine children during the polio pandemic. What happened to adults in New York City last year- it happened to children all over the world. IMO one was criminal and the other accidental, but it all affects, and effects humanity.

Nothing wrong with telling stories, it shows he has had an interesting life, compared to armchair keyboard heroes showing disrespect and babbling about things on here, they would not say to someone's face in public. Mainly because they have not got a snowman's chance in hell of mixing in the same social circles as them. Plus people may have asked him to mention things. Stories, good ones, shows people have character and are interesting. Rather than just bleating out bullshit for likes on here. Normally from lame brain, inexperienced youngsters who do not have a clue about life. Poetic licence ya boring little dweeb-eens. A screenplay about his life was circulating for many years but got nixed. Al Ruddy slammed the door shut on him in “The Offer”. The way he was portrayed was deliberate. I’ve worked with him three times and I have to admit he have me going until he got careless and told the same story he told me to others but changed too many circumstances. That’s when I realized this was just a gifted storyteller who had lived an incredibly lucky life. He’s a master at improvisation. His vodka and his wines are outstanding. But take his stories and cut them into about 1/3.
