Wow, thanks for sharing your makeup brush collection. When I trained with make up I always used a sponge, I've only started in the last 6 months using a makeup blender, a concealer brush, my blush brush as a powder brush, a bronzer brush for bronzer, a foundation brush for my Charlotte Tilbury blush when u swirl around the outside and then do the pop of colour in the middle. I just find the foundation brush is a good shape for the ct blush. And then I have numerous eye shadow brushes that I like to use. So u don't have to use brushes for what they r meant to b used for basically. I've learnt that over time 😊😊😊😊😊
Hi Sandra ! Thank you , very interesting! For the cream blush , the ELF small stippling brush is fabulous. It diffuses the product so well. Love Rephr and Sonia G brushes , they’re so good . Have a beautiful day ! 🌸
Thank you, Sandra! I was just sorting my brushes today, definitely put a few new ones on my list from this video. I have some older animal hair brushes that I'm not sure are useful anymore. They were specifically for Bare Minerals, which I use frequently, but they just aren't as soft as synthetic. Thanks again for your recommendations.
I have most of my original MAC brushes. They really do last. I definitely bought the 219 because of the online beauty community and I still use it most days.
Yes!! I still have my MAC 187 too although I rarely reach for it now - but I vividly remember the obsession with it being used as a foundation brush in the early beauty TH-cam days haha
I recently got the bk beauty kit for small eyes and dang is that kit a game changer plus my Mac 217 is looking a little rough these days! And that Sephora concealer brush is so good I own two.
I love brushes so much! Just ordered a couple of Sonia G ones…I need to fish out the Nars one, I had the same issues as you described so maybe I need to use it more! I am glad they replaced the real techniques handles, the original black bottom bit got so sticky I had to chuck mine out (same as the Nars rubbery packaging after a while). 😘
Haha yes it’s always so annoying to clean the rubbery black packaging - it gets filthy! I am sure you will love your Sonia G brushes - I hear nothing but amazing things about them. Which ones did you get?
Mac 217 was also the first makeup brush I bought myself. ☺️ I have so many happy memories of going to the Mac counter at The Bay when I visited family in Canada as a teenager. This is over 25 years ago when the brand was not as visible in the US.
Even though favorite makeup brushes is one of my favorite videos to watch since I’m always on the quest for the perfect tools, I have to say I went to the description box to find your nail polish reference. Well… 😐 Looking classy as always Sandra thank you for this video 💖😘
Hi! Did you do anything on the black part of the Real Technique brush handle, to remove the sticky coating? I had tried Mod Podge, but after a while I had the same issues.
Finally! I’m also the one who is into Japanese brushes! They’re on another level in quality of hair and craftsmanship.
I hope, one day you will do your jewelry collection video…I always pay attention at your rings and how you style them!
