Picking up where the original D-Explorer left off, Dainese updates their do-anything adventure offering. Duratex, mesh, QuickDry, and TRIXIOR D-TEC fabrics combine to create two very technical pieces of gear. Featuring ample airflow, plenty of elastication, and a high degree of adjustability, the D-Explorer 2 jacket and pants are ready for the ride. In addition, they’re utilizing Gore-Tex, the gold standard for waterproof and breathable protection. Armor at the back, elbows, shoulders (jacket) and knees (pants) is included. Join the D-Explorer 2 jacket and pants with the connecting zipper to create a versatile two-piece suit.

Dainese, please Design and upgrade the matching Pants 👖! Need more room in the crotch, add a large Stretchy ↔️ Gusseted Crotch. Neoprene Waistband w/optional Suspenders, 3-Button Stronger Closure.
First version is 10x more attractive... sucks they combined the Goretex liner & thermal layer.
It's always disappointing to me that any review I watch never removes the armor to show how bulky or light it is and to show how it installs. Dainese sometimes has pockets for shoulder armor and some times has Velcro systems. It would be nice to know.
The other often missing thing is details about the liners. I find zip out water proof liners very hit or miss since they are often much shorter than the jacket itself or your clothing underneath and rarely (from my experience) fasten to the pants liner. We all know water will climb up to your dry clothes if the end of your sleeves get wet or the bottom of your t-shirt.
I also understand these are overviews though not a comprehensive real world tested review. But these are details I'd personally care to know when spending $1,400 on a suit
it's either the new Dainese designs make you look fat or Revzilla staff are eating too many donuts.
That jacket would be perfect if it had the big rear poket..
Dainese, please use Stretch GORE-TEX on your ADV Jackets 🧥 & Pants 👖. Also, the pants need a Higher Stretchy Neoprene Waistband w/more Robust Redundant Closures along with a Large Stretchy ↔️ Spandex Gusseted Crotch for more range-of-motion and overall crotch and seat comfort!
Why are the pants reviews almost always a quick glance over, like an afterthough. Please review the pants in more detail, they are as important as the jacket.

Now I think Dainese stylist is on the road to ruins. Sorry about writing this but the recent Dainese jackets in the few 1-2 years look worse and worse. This one looks like a straitjacket.

The D-Explorer has always had a removable waterproof liner and large adjustable vents, so that's continued with the D-Explorer 2. For a laminated liner, consider the Sport Master. -DrewZilla
