I think my wife's 2016 SS was one of the 1st issues that GM had ever seen on this transmission they tried to reprogram it and that didn't work.GM ended up pulling the transmission to send it back the the factory to pull it apart . And installed a new one, and it was fine for a few years and then we just recently took it down for the shutter problem and changed out the fluid from the black label Mobile 1 to the Blue label.. been fine ever since.

If you had a V6 there are a lot more problems with the 3160 6 speed manual. Mainly a relucter gear and a washer and the yoke nut washer and seal. I sunk a lot of money into a Supercharger and even before that the trans was a mess at 3500 miles. That's when I bought it thinking "how bad could it be?" BAD THATS HOW BAD IT CAN BE. I don't care about visibility and not fitting in it. It is not a car for tall people. The trick is to order the knee pads from the OEM parts list (leaster stitched $500 for the pair. OR: just order the ones that are black stitched vynil and you can finslly shift w/o pain. But all the crap that guy was talking about is the least of your probs on a 2020 V6 manual RS. It's just bot worth it. I will buy a 10 speed auto V8 next time. Since used are same $ as used just buy new.

The thing with people complaining about not being able to put their left arm comfortably on the door at the bottom on the window is the dumbest complaint about a car that i have ever heard. People put their arm there but thats not what a door is made for!!!! I dont drive with two hands on the wheel very often but you are supposed to so the left arm complaint is utterly stupid. No car manufacturers have ever stated that your left arm should be comfortable when placing it on the door..

around 10k miles the shuttering will start AGAIN even after a new torque converter is installed. GM is only changing the oil to get you thru til the warranty is out. The fluid switch is only a stop gap cover up for a falty torque converter which they will replace with another faulty torque converter. They are being sued for a good reason. You may want to dig a little deeper on yur research.

That lasted for 9k and I had to bring it back again for the shudder which was worse this time with 27k in 2020. All they did now is flush and use new fluid. Transmission problem is the programming of the torque converter lock up ratio. It's to high. It needs lowered and the 4 popper mode dumped. That will end the problem
Electrical is the ground. Fix them and add the recommended extra ones. Remember that glue doesn't conduct electricity real well. If you want to test do a ground test using the volt method. Same with the starter. Ground are bad. Fix them. Then enjoy your car or don't fix them and groan about it. Lol

Yeah? and I think you should STFU. I do my research first. A lot of people who own this car say the same thing. This engine generates a lot more heat than "Normal". Look it up

@@NigelDRealest Question, "normal" in comparison to what? I have a fully built 2016 SS and I race it all the time. I don't see that it makes anymore heat compared to other similar cars with V8's like Mustangs and Challengers. If you are comparing it to a normal daily car with a 4 cyl engine, yes it does make alot of heat.

Same. I got rid of my 17 1SS because it had the shudder issue and the dealer didn’t give a damn to help me with it.
