holy nostalgia. 1983 baby here. that was awesome. though i didn't realize just how prevalent the whole "woah dude, like, that is totally righteous" voice thing was. glad that passed lol..
At age 23, i can honestly say these were the best years in my life...the 90's was a special time to be a kid indeed....not to mention all the kick ass music that goes a long with it
Love! Thanks for bringing back the old treasures! Wow! A TMNT piece that's even more embarrassing than the Coming Out of Their Shells tour! Someone saved my life tonight: Sugar Bear. The cheese that GOOEEOOOEEOOOEEEOOEEOOOOOES... crunch! Chester Cheeta and Sugar Bear's voices got better a little bit later. To think! Once upon a time, these commercials and all the TV shows were as plentiful as water! And today, only a fraction of that nostalgia survives! It was a climate! And we miss it!
I've watching nick commercials etc. from around 95-98 and they all bring back alot of memories and is probably nick's best time period. so I decided to go back further and I don't remember this far because I was only 1 but I can tell even further back it was still great and better then it is today
Those McDino transformer things are one of the best happy meal toys ever. They look like smaller versions of the product! But THEN they turn into a very vague dinosaur type of creature! BRILLIANT!!
The Nanner Man totally buzzkills my nostalgia by reminding me of everything that is annnoying about my present culture. Bring back the hand-drawn animation and the innocence, before it's too late!
I feel u i born in 85 i grew up on this I miss the old Nickelodeon u know gotta love the old school i miss watching Cartoon Network too i miss those days
I still have my pogs, and my yak bak. I cannot part with those items. They hold a special place in my heart. Born in '87. Lets make a toast to those who were old enought to live a childhood in the 90's!
I use to have a transforming Mc Donalds toy. It was the tripple cheese burger. I still have that in my garage. I remember most of these commercials. So many good memories.
You put a commercial for your own TH-cam channel in the middle of a collection of vintage commercials.... That's brilliant, actually. Now I'm thinking of ways to hook up a VCR to my computer.
I remember watching Sylvester & Son every day. Not because I liked it, but because there was just nothing else on. haha I vividly remember too much of this video despite being in kindergarten at the time.
This really brings back memories... I remember those McDonalds toys... I remember how bad I wanted a Gameboy and how excited I was when I finally got one. Oh man, to be 8 years old again. Haha
I remember all of these! Ahhh great flashback to being young and living in Central IL. Coming up Next on Nickelodeon it's Nanner Man followed by Hey Dude! Nanner Man?! What?! The early 90's were the best!
I remember those days. I remember as a kid that I hated that Lassie and Flipper would be on for a full hour; both of the shows bored me to tears! It's how you knew the channel was transitioning from Nick Jr to its regular programming.
i grew up watching lassie i still do it's still on tv i seen all the movies seen all the episodes and read all the books my fav dog is collies and i have a stuffed animal and it's a collie ^_^
i know! nickelodeon is now all spongebob! remember, ren and stimpy, rugrats, rockos modern life, doug, its just crazy that they have spongebob marathons literally everyday! things are different from when these commercials were on.
@1987tvfreak I think it was called Launch Box. I remember different Nickelodeon celebrities, like the guy from Nick Arcade, would talk about space facts and whatnot, and I even remember an episode where the cast from Welcome Freshmen acted out Star Trek. It certainly was a rare gem.
Haha, I remember Yo-Yo Balls. I had one myself as a kid. As well as some of the transforming McDonald's toys (I can only remember having the pancakes and cheeseburger one though)
This is when cartoons were actually cartoons. People (mostly current teens) whine about how we're living in the past, and how we are biased about it. But as you can see from these commercials we had a great variety of shows. I grew up watching shows that my parents grew up with, and even my grandparents, like Looney Toons, Bewitched, Tom and Jerry, I dream of Jeanie, etc... Kids today just have mostly live shows and some badly animated shows. These kids are missing out on the old.
Heck yea, I think I still actually have one of those old Happy Meal toys in there. Probably buried in a box somewhere in the attic or somewhere. Ah well. Good ol' Memories
These commercials are older than I am!!! D: But I still miss those tv shows.. :D And whats up with Raphael and Michelanelo..? O_o I know I'm young but I didnt know that Nick showed TMNT too... xD
I'm with you man! I demand to know who "The Nanner Man'' is! Clever hiding it in the middle of these old commercials but I find nothing of it on the rest of the channel /impractical...
So much imagination was put into these commercials back in the day. Looking back at it now, I never realized how good we had it. Boy I miss the 90s.
That Nanner Man commercial in the middle of the video was a total buzz kill! The rest was sweet though so thank you for putting all of this together
I remember watching this at my Granny's house when I was 8.
18 years ago and I remember it like yesterday.
Yay for nostalgia.
Dammm u was 26 when u upload this comment, you’re in your early 40s bruh
i was born in 1984 so i remember all of these these were the best cartoons ever
genius, i love you.
My entire adult life is just trying to bring back my childhood.
3:12 - a clip from the Redrawn Colorized version of Porky’s Badtime Story (1937).
Advertising does its job when we still remember these commercials years later.
holy nostalgia. 1983 baby here. that was awesome. though i didn't realize just how prevalent the whole "woah dude, like, that is totally righteous" voice thing was. glad that passed lol..
This was amazing. The Sheba commercial is pure gold.
Thanks for uploading this. Very nice to watch.
I'll be 20 in a few months. God I feel old. These are such classics. I miss old school Nick.

1991 Nick when the commercials were better than most of the shows.
Wow...the year before I was born and it seems like forever...I really did miss out on most of the good stuff...
Rugrats, Doug and Ren and Stimpy all premiered in the fall of '91, just a few months later. I remember. I turned 11 that summer :)
We LOVED that stuff. My mom had to buy boxes until all four of us had telephone booth box/bowl things.
The Nanner Man totally buzzkills my nostalgia by reminding me of everything that is annnoying about my present culture. Bring back the hand-drawn animation and the innocence, before it's too late!

4:57-5:27 was NOT on Nickelodeon, nor was it originally a part of this break.
It was a joke promo they want it to make it look like it was actually part of this break but it's not
This really brings back memories...
I remember those McDonalds toys...
I remember how bad I wanted a Gameboy and how excited I was when I finally got one.
Oh man, to be 8 years old again. Haha
Wow---all the excitement for Gameboy! LOL I remember...still have mine, actually. I was preteen/teen in the 90's but I still loved Nickelodeon.
I remember all of these! Ahhh great flashback to being young and living in Central IL. Coming up Next on Nickelodeon it's Nanner Man followed by Hey Dude! Nanner Man?! What?! The early 90's were the best!

I'm glad im a 80s baby and grew up in the 90s
Oh wow, I'd completely forgotten about those McDino Changeables. I LOVED 'em! My favorite was the Hotcakes Terradactyl.
I remember those days. I remember as a kid that I hated that Lassie and Flipper would be on for a full hour; both of the shows bored me to tears! It's how you knew the channel was transitioning from Nick Jr to its regular programming.
Wow, its crazy to see your babysitter again after all these years.

i know! nickelodeon is now all spongebob! remember, ren and stimpy, rugrats, rockos modern life, doug, its just crazy that they have spongebob marathons literally everyday! things are different from when these commercials were on.
"cinnamon o's with marshmallow notes" I was nine when these commercials came out.
I feel so old. I'm 22 and I remember some of these like it was yesterday. God, Nickelodeon has gone to HELL in the new millenium.
I am only 20 and I remember these.
I feel 5 again I wish I was a kid again I had a wonderful childhood
Wow... nearly 10 years when this was uploaded...
@1987tvfreak I think it was called Launch Box. I remember different Nickelodeon celebrities, like the guy from Nick Arcade, would talk about space facts and whatnot, and I even remember an episode where the cast from Welcome Freshmen acted out Star Trek. It certainly was a rare gem.
that gameboy commercials had me in tears. too funny
loved the gameboy commercial
1:05
Closest George Carlin came to having his own cereal.
The old Nick Studio at Universal Orlando is now a theatre for the Blue Man Group
the gameboy advert was like an lsd trip lol... GAAAAMEEEBOOOOY!!
Ah the 90's...back when being a kid actually meant something. I turn on Nick nowadays and all i see is "reality" tv shows...
I remember wanting those McDonald's happy meal toys and thinking they were so cool. :D
lmao, @ 0.45 I still have some of those laying around!
Haha, I remember Yo-Yo Balls. I had one myself as a kid. As well as some of the transforming McDonald's toys (I can only remember having the pancakes and cheeseburger one though)
Lmao The O-zone one almost put me in epileptic shock.
Hell yes. Thanks. :)
~Jerod T.
this makes me want to cry.....I was only conceived right around this time, but still.
LOL OLD! i was born later than a lot of these shows. i was alive when shows like doug, rugrats and catdog were around.
This is when cartoons were actually cartoons. People (mostly current teens) whine about how we're living in the past, and how we are biased about it. But as you can see from these commercials we had a great variety of shows. damn im feeling nostalgic as hell right now
where does the music that plays during that 'nanner man' part come from? a sonic game?
Scrap Brain Zone from Sonic 1.
at 9:38 was that from the nickelodeon studios opening day special?
This must have been 2 months or so before Nick had their own cartoons!
In the begginning, It was Nick Jr. before the Nick Time bumper?
That gameboy commercial was totally Rad man! GAAAME BUUOOYYYY!!!
I STILL GOT THOSE MCDONALDS TOYS IN A TOTE IN MY BASEMENT! lol
Bill and Ted's Excellent Cereal! Most Excellent!
Nanner Man made my brain fall out.
These commercials are older than I am!!! D:
But I still miss those tv shows..
Did you find it?
Agree, the only thing about that part of the clip, thats even remotely from that time period, is the Sonic music thats playing in the background.
they still have similar yoyo ball commercials, but they are rare.
Any Golden Crown adverts? The one with the fat dragon who burns toast or the one where the cow swallows the kinds phone? Love the dragon at 1:14?
it seems really weird to me that there was a time when nick regularly aired old warner bros. toons... that certainly wouldn't ever happen nowadays
