I remember these commercials. I was 7 or 8 in 1991. I kept it on Nick back then. I think I watched Nick more then PBS. I can't believe I remember these commercials. Commercials were so entertaining and creative. Commercials now are so boring. Nick has changed so much. Our era of Nick was so much better. There needs to be a classic Nick channel. I would keep it on all day instead of watching the junk on tv today. I never thought I see this stuff again. I'm seeing it for the first time in 20 years
Fruit Strip gum was a REALLY catchy video, I used to LOVE it back as a good, but its still intertaing as catchy to me now LOL. Thanks for the memories!!
I remember that Fruit Stripe Gum commercial so vividly that I was singing along the exact words in my head when I heard it now, and this was the first time in probably 15 years.
OMG! I had totally forgotten about the Yikes gum commercial(s). Now that I've seen the ad for it, I clearly remember the commmerical when I was young. Such as a catchy tune.
wow, major trip down memory lane. I remember begging my mom for a Crocodile Mile, and yet she never got me one. Now looking back at it, I'm glad she didn't, she saved me from breaking my neck :-D God I miss those days
I can't believe someone's actually got Yipes Stripes Fruit Striped Gum on here. Holy Crap! I've been trying to find that commercial for at least two years!
I know, every few minutes I threw the piece out and got another one, haha. I actually found it in Economy candy here in NYC. Can't find that much anymore.
Nickelodeon used to have cool "we'll be back" and "...now back to _____" bumpers, like at the beginning for Flipper. They used to be so organized, unlike how they are now. Even their programming schedule seems so different every day.
@Joshhh81 I agree the inserted TH-cam channel advertisement at 5:49 in this video is very inappropriate and should not be seen by young audiences, be warned...
OMFG!! This is my childhood here. :-D the best parts of my childhood. I loved Nickelodeon back then. Now it just really sucks ass. They need to bring back all the classics on one channel.
@Jenny Marie you got that right. The 90s (and even the 80s) were good to Nickelodeon. I too was born in 1986, so I feel lucky to have grown up with all the good shows that channel used to air.
Mork (Robin Williams) was an Alien. Mindy was like his room mate/friend. Mindy was calm, cool & collected and Mork was pretty much your typical Robin Williams crazy charachter.
@DTUBE19001 this was before Cartoon Network. There were not a whole lot of nickelodeon cartoon characters back in the early 90s. The only Warner bros. characters on nickelodeon were the looney tunes- the rest were Hanna-barbera.
I like me some Fruit Stripe gum. Why yes, Tiny Tim is for real. Oh yes I do remember the varieties of Skittles! Tart & Tangy, Wild Berry, Tropical! With real fruit juices! And visiting grandparents in Cleveland! Well, it seems those states really do have too few schools! I never knew public education was in such a dire state! Stopping Summer Vacation. The fiends! Crocodile mile! You're tapping long dormant memories now! Bubble Tape! It's food product-o-licious!
-you know, when the announcer says "She's got a surprise for you!" isn't the best time to rip off the wedding dress. Too much of a Crying game vibe there. -THESE BASEball CARDS ARE safeeeeeeeeee! - Bubble Tape commercial was good - Ronald McDonold beatboxing with an eraserhead hair FTW. Also, It sucks they dont use the sidekicks like birdie anymore.
on the barbie commercial i always hated when they said each sold seperately i mean they showed them in the commercial together why couldn't they just sell them together
I was negative 1 in 91. Sucks for me. Or does it? Although I hate this decade, I benefit greatly from it's technology. I still wish they'd play these classic shows on TV again.
Does she look fab? She's an eyelash battin' ball of trouble! Hurry before this offer is oooooooout! This is real, Skittles! I can't sssssssstand bubble tape! That AWWFUL bit is the funniest though
Isn't it funny how we all think our era is innocent? I guess every generation think their better then the next. I remember my parents saying how wild and crazy my generation was but looking back and comparing to today's kids, we weren't nearly as wild and crazy. I have to say the 80's and 90's was truly an golden era for children's programming, not to knock anyone else's era.
Nickelodeon/MTV Networks 1984-1994. The Golden years before those heartless bastards at Viacom destroyed all of these networks with their hostile corporate bullshit.
@ musicanddancing4ever yea we need to make an online petition or something and send it to nick.i really miss these days too the 90s were the shit xD compared to the current shows that are on nick the only good one is spongebob i think when spongebob ends nick will be pretty much dead
It's cool you uploaded a real commercial break, but leave your dumb, bizarre fan made ones out. It ruins the whole commercial break. I'm not kidding. It sure does.
...I thought that I was past the Yikes and Bubble Tape commercials- my mind was finally healing. Thanks for bringing them back.
I remember these commercials. I was 7 or 8 in 1991. I kept it on Nick back then. I think I watched Nick more then PBS. I can't believe I remember these commercials. Up Next it's "A Brand New Lover" followed by "The Nanner Man" and then "Salute Your Shorts." Only on Nickelodeon!
I remember that Fruit Stripe Gum commercial so vividly that I was singing along the exact words in my head when I heard it now, and this was the first time in probably 15 years.
This brings back so many good memories, loved watching Hey Dude and I always wanted a crocodile mile!
I still sing that Fruit Stripe jingle to myself whenever I see the gum in a store. :D
OMG! I had totally forgotten about the Yikes gum commercial(s). Now that I've seen the ad for it, I clearly remember the commmerical when I was young. Such as a catchy tune.
I totally remember ALL these commercials and shows...wow...talk about a flashback :-p
you run, you slide, you hit the bump, and take a dive!!!!! god i used to love that thing..those were the days.
If you would have told me when I was 10 that 20 years later I'd be on the computer watching the same commercials again, I wouldn't have believed you
wow, major trip down memory lane.
I desperately wanted a Super Crocodile Mile when I was younger, but I lived in Highland Park at the time. All I had was an asphalt parking lot.
AWESOME
I know, every few minutes I threw the piece out and got another one, haha. I actually found it in Economy candy here in NYC. Can't find that much anymore.
lol I wasnt even born yet
I was born 1993 so I still got to experience Nick during its glory days.
I remember that bubble tape commercial! Along with the other products...
i was 1 year old =D lol im glad "hey dude" wasnt on during my time tho xD cuz like i dun think i would have liked it
the old jingles didnt had sense......that why love them :)
Nickelodeon used to have cool "we'll be back" and "...now back to _____" bumpers, like at the beginning for Flipper. They used to be so organized, unlike how they are now. Even their programming schedule seems so different every day.
Is the umpire at 2:30 the late Art LaFleur??
LMAO. The barbie commercial.
Fruit stripes were awesome, i believe they still sell that gum.
Mork & Mindy ftw
Do you have The 'Nanner Man and A Brand New Lover?
I still have the Midge doll. I miss the 90s too =(
Ha ha, the voice you hear at 2:37 sounds almost like young Bagheera's voice from season 2 of Jungle Cubs!
I use to love fruit stripe gum as a kid, I miss the 90's such a great era for everything...plus I was a kid with no worries...growing up sucks.
yeah they do! you can find them at Biglots and places like that.
do they still make bubble tape? Oh man was it great
@Joshhh81 I agree the inserted TH-cam channel advertisement at 5:49 in this video is very inappropriate and should not be seen by young audiences, be warned...
i was 7. i loved nick then

The 90s was the best era for toys
I didn't know Steve from Full House had his own show on CBS and his character's name was Steve!
ohh holy crap. crocodile mile. that jingle is classic.
I use to watch flipper EVERY DAY!
P.S. The commercials were cool but please loose the extra stuff.
that bubble tape gum was off the chain......what a time!!
@RunePenguinNinja thanks for letting me know. I would have missed it.
Mork (Robin Williams) was an Alien. Mindy was like his room mate/friend. Mindy was calm, cool & collected and Mork was pretty much your typical Robin Williams crazy charachter.
I loved that show Family Man.Those boys were so cute.
Don't put commercials for your youtube channel in the middle of these. That's just really lame.
Skittles be jammin'!
i think i saw it at stop & shop the other day
The 90's was the best decade I was born in 1986 so I'm a 90's kid
skittles!!!!! :D taste the rainbow!!!
Envision has what your eyes need most: the Spice Melange
I like the old Bubble Tape commercial.
I like Ronald's A New Do ad. Funniest Ronald ad of all time. It's too bad they couldn't air it during Super Bowl XXV.
Super Crocodile Mile was a funny commercial when he ran from the crocs

Wow. My bro was as well.
Bubble Tape commercials were the shiznit. Hurts my teeth just thinking about eating some though.
There are way too many neural pathways in my brain lighting up right now. Like shining a flashlight on an old stack of playboys.
I had that Midge doll...:)
Meanwhile Alan runs a successful choreography studio and lives in a FABULOUS Victorian in the Castro, if you know what I mean.
-you know, when the announcer says "She's got a surprise for you!" isn't the best time to rip off the wedding dress. Too much of a Crying game vibe there.
-THESE BASEball CARDS ARE safeeeeeeeeee!
- Bubble Tape commercial was good
- Ronald McDonold beatboxing with an eraserhead hair FTW. Also, It sucks they dont use the sidekicks like birdie anymore.
i thought a honeymoon suit is the same as a birthday suit
Fruit Stripe. I used to eat that all the time when i was little. Its good but I hate how it runs out of flavor like in less than a minute.
7:41 looks like a slim jim XD
on the barbie commercial i always hated when they said each sold seperately i mean they showed them in the commercial together why couldn't they just sell them together
I was negative 1 in 91. Sucks for me. Or does it? Although I hate this decade, I benefit greatly from it's technology. I still wish they'd play these classic shows on TV again.

@CaptainSiberia Forget N.W.A.! The Flintstones are real gangster!

Nickelodeon/MTV Networks 1984-1994. The Golden years before those heartless bastards at Viacom destroyed all of these networks with their hostile corporate bullshit.
Yeah, well, Nick had first dibs on Looney Tunes before CN arrived.
