omg!!!! my son is one years old and when I had him in the hospital I noticed he constantly chomped his gums and I started calling him gums. it then turned gumsy and then to as I spell it gumbie. and he has been gumbie ever since. I never knew about the show Gumby and someone said he does not look like Gumby and then I looked it up and realized I had in fact not made up the name gumbie. everyone calls him gumbie family, friends, doctors, literally EVERYONE! I have shown him episodes of the original Gumby and his eyes get so big when they sing hey Gumby! and he laughs it's like he thinks this is my show..... anyways this is a link comment and I know you read ALOT of them but if you do red it I hope it at the very least makes you smile if not laugh a little. And I know this is an acting ASMR skit but I love that Gumby glass, cup, or whatever it may be. and if I ever find one I would definitely buy it to keep for my son

im from england and i work in a supermarket... today i served two guys from texas visiting my neck of the woods and LORD i have never heard a southern american accent in real life... i love it!!! i had to repeat the name of our neighbouring towns and he couldn''t get it and was like "i'm sorry, ya'll invented the R". i was thinking how funny it is that we speak the same language but people from different places can interpret the pronunciation of words in vastly different ways. anyways thanks for this great video as always mary!!
It's funny because so many people assumed I was from Texas when I first started this channel. A lot of people think that only people in Texas have a Southern accent. We all just go around roping cattle all day and saying "YEEEE-HAW!" or something. (Even real Texans don't go around doing that.) I love a good, genuine Texas accent, and even in different parts of Texas, it changes. That's awesome that you got to have a chat with some! They're really cool folks, for the most part.
