Was watching Danya's stream, he popped off so hard after game 1, and looked dead inside after game 2 + 3. Pretty sure Danya was more crushed by the result than Charlie. When Ludwig blundered his queen he jumped out of his chair, and he was so sad when Charlie missed it lol.
At the end of game 1 there were 95k people watching on Chess' twitch, 40k on Ludwig's channel, 25k on Hikaru's channel, 20k on charlie's channel, 3k on danya's channel, and 23k on TH-cam live. There were probably some people in multiple streams but that's over 200k watching a matchup of 1100s. I'm all for it

Based on these games, Ludwig is a positional type of player. Doesn't go for tactics but he often stops his opponents threats and plays fast. While Moist is tactical cause he sees Ludwig's miss mates, but struggles in the time management. Xqc on the other hand is very good in middle games for his rating, he finds ideas and can mix things up (even though dubious) for his opponent and himself. This makes me want to watch a rematch between Moist and Xqc.
i don't agree with that, Moist missed the free queen in the second game and in the third round he lost to Ludwig due to ludwigs tactics. His coach has even said that Moist doesn't do puzzles (one of the main ways to improve your tactics) and that's why he lost to Ludwig

Imagine they get to the semi finals. One of them wins. the other wins their first semi final game of three. Pog champs people are freaking out. They call in the big guns. Looks they sub hikaru in for whoever they’re playing. He is a streamer after all. But plot twist, hikaru is sympathetic. He throws for content. Ludwig and Charlie meet in the final game, don’t make any moves, and walk into the sunset holding hands. I think I’ve got the plot of the next Disney movie folks.
I think it would be more fair for tiebreakers to be 5 min no increment. In 3min blitz you have to know the line to a t. As much as these players improved they aren't advanced players. Half the time as a normal game is plenty narrow for just enough time to think and avoid errors.
