"Let them Win." I say this differently. "Don't play to Win." Give them a good game, but no one wants to feel like they were handed the victory. Make them feel like they earned it. Give them advice and options during their turn, but let them play their army. But we both have the same over all viewpoint, make sure they have fun!

I had a female friend (distinction from girlfriend, as we were not romantically involved) who was interested in playing Blood Bowl, back in the day (mid 90’s, I guess).
She had never shown any interest in any other games I played, and had never played any game more exciting than Monopoly, or Scrabble, prior to this.
I decide to take it easy on her, as we went through the rules, and played our first game.
This was a mistake. She understood the game right off the bat, and proceeded to trounce me 3-0.
I got my own back, though. I introduced her to Magic: The Gathering… 😂

As part of the OPR community, I think we need to do more to demo the game and get more public exsposure. I am currently in talk with SCARAB, a local gaming convention, to run an OPR Demo booth and a small 1000pt tournament. I think we need to see more of this.
I've already made plans to demo OPR on next year's local Sci-Fi/Fantasy Convention

Find a grumpy old fart that is still mad a GW for canceling WFB and introduce him to OPR. You can start gently with regiment if he still has square bases 😂 it works wonders around me !
One advantage One Page Rules has over Warhammer is alternating activations - they don't have to wait for you to move all your models before taking their turn, or have to move all their models when they don't know what they are doing.

I have no idea. Options here are w40k or AoS . Army for those go for around month to two months local salary. Then there is painting , assembly, meta is sesonal as if it was a mobile/PC game. At 500$ plus per army, people would rather just buy a consol.

funny enough ive got into wargaming just to make friends, love the community! also with ''let them win'' i usually do moves just do demonstrate the mechanics of the game like how cover works or this or that so i can teach them while playing

I don't agree with "let them win". Play for fun and let the dice decide. It would be better to say "Let them have a cool moments"
