"Your own bullets fucking hurt you"
Well... you may want to remember that. That's the most important lesson I've seen in a game yet.
Yup, quite realistic game if I say so.
My favorite part about this thing, is the cover art. It tells a complex and emotional story. Is that clown at the top looking at us sensually, or with murder in his eyes? Why are the two flying miniature cowboys shooting the woman riding a hoverboard on a giant pinball rollercoaster thingy? What's she shooting at? This is what life is about. This game makes us think. It is an undiscovered national treasure. Nicholas Cage is even disguising himself as the woman riding the hoverboard, note the stretched facial features, as if someone had tried to make a discount sequel to the box office hit, "Face Off".
This comment is a national treasure.
21:14 lmao, that song is "The Model" by Kraftwerk. What a choice of music for a medieval dungeon game.
I knew it was Kraftwerk.
korrekt
came back to this video specifically for that lol
40:40
Game.
GAME OV!
GAME.
"......ARRRGGH!!"
@•Pixelboy127• *corrupted fireworks sound*

@@devancakep4760 OMG THEY GOT YE-
Best cow game.
RIP Johngeorge Romero, we didn't know you at all.
Do you think the person who did the cover design for this felt guilty about how fucking terrible it was so they put that staring clown on it to discourage people from buying it
I actually thought Rats was a really fun puzzle game when I was too young to understand what was happening... Turning all rats into females or males was a legit strategy to stop them from breeding and it gets really insane in later levels.
"Uh uh uhh, uuuuuuuuuh!"
*WHAT*
my grandpa had this game on his work computer lmao, I remember playing it and thinking the rat sex noises were them trying to sneeze
Interesting fact about Noop Bounce, the game @1:47:32 is that it was made by Philip Rideout, research engineer at Pixar where he worked on Brave and Monsters University.
He now works at google as a senior software engineer, pissing off even more people with his "talents".
So, remember kids! Everybody has to get the shitty parts in life first before getting the shitty parts that pay well...
Interesting.
I remember that Rats game, and my parents' reaction to *that* sound effect; which I didn't understand at the time due to my age.
For some weird reason, I like that sound.
Pp hardd
They probably were too old and conservative to approve of Newsex.
@@rebelfleettrooper9881 weird is a huge understatement.
@@rebelfleettrooper9881 bings got you covered brah
Absolutely fucking loving that midi opening for Kwiks
an absolute banger
'purple garfield jumpscare' is a great band name
It's Ekk the cat.
this eek the cat
No, not really.
“That music is terrible. I want to hear more of it.” Vinny confirmed as a masochist.
He proved he was years ago when he was willing to punish himself with trash over and over.
i mean, isnt that just sunday stream in a nutshell
The 🅱inny Alliance
once you see that speed luigi in the corner
you'll never be able to unsee it
wow, I should have sent the game I made back in middle school to these people... it's about the same level of quality as some of this stuff...
I used to make crap games like this in Gamemaker 7, thinking they were pure gold. I even wanted to sell these on physical disc! Thankfully I did'int get THAT far.
Ikr same
Very real madness begins to take hold at 1:28:50, and yet, I feel like anyone else would have reached their breaking point LONG before that.
Oh God... I grew up with this shit.
As a kid, I didn't know any better.
"Wet Willy Skateboarding" "Unflob" "Noop's Odyssey"
This is surely the time to be alive.
NEWSEX
the 90s sure were a time to be alive
I had a collection like this when I was a kid, but it was called "Galaxy of Games" and the games were of considerably higher quality. Or at least I *think* they were...
I had Galaxy of Games: Gold Edition and yeah, the games were way better than this. Speedy Eggbert and Booym anyone?
Speedy Eggbert was alright. Not the greatest platformer ever, but it was decent for what it was. However, Booym is fantastic. If you like competitive multiplayer games or breakout games, I highly recommend it. It's got a great soundtrack, too.
SPEEDY EGGBERT HOLY SHIT, THAT LEVEL CREATOR THO, I mean yeah it was a shit game but y'know. I had two versions of Galaxy of Games, Eggbert was on the much newer one.
The level creator was definitely the best part of the game.
youve unlocked a deep, primal memory in me
Oh fuck I remember Micro Man.
This shit takes me back. Nice.
Me too! That game was the shit when I was 7yo
13:40
The good ship "OLD SEE WOLF"
I admire Vinny's resilience. Playing these games would crush what bit of spirit I have left.
1:42:18 Nibble was a very popular snake clone for DOS so it makes sense they'd call it that
God dammit..
I watched this whole thing live and didn't see the speed luigi until now
Lower right. You might have to move around to see it properly.
Funboringness Increase Brightness
Dammit Bobby
25:09 Oh my god, that's going in my obscure game scrunkly list.
I CANT STOP STARING AT THE FAINT SPEED LUIGI GIF IN THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER
There was a fucking ad for knuddles golf in kwiks.
1:52:55 I love how Vinny doesn't recognize Dreams by Van Halen in MIDI
Vinny just default to the Windows emulator instead of that terrible box art, that clown is genuinely disturbing.
Mr.Dr.Professor Toaster
That's why he dose it
Love has come to clown.
The skulls in raising dead 1:03:37 make the same sounds as the rat gender change in rats 1:07:20
Mutated Animals on Wheels' premise has to be one of the concepts in a video game.
Really like how they advertise the limbless humans.
41:57 that growl noise was in a Tim and Eric sketch once. The one of the morning meditation sketches
I owned this as a kid and it spawned my love of trash games
Though, the desynced sound is completely due to the virtual machine. They ran fine
These two streams are my favorite Vinesauce streams.
Same.
@@williamsmith666 me 3
36:09 that's Automatic by Less Than Jake. I knew it sounded familiar while watching the live stream, they're one of my favorite bands.
Neat, my instincts didn't fail me. (I call that choice, good taste)
LTJ is really good, possibly my favorite ska-punk band
1:34:36
"... I guess the smiley face is the least creative of all the faces..." Is that why we never see artists smiling?
8:14 damn, looks like someone discovered stereo audio
20:55 is that "The Model" by Kraftwerk?
1:11:13 that's the Godfather theme with a couple notes missing. Amazing.
the bedroom eyes clown scares me so much.
1:31:09 Recuerdos de la Alhambra is such a beautiful piece tbh.
"I just have to figure out how to do this again"
Relatable.
Almost every "bad (insert system/platform) game" stream I find a game I unironically enjoy
THERE ARE NONE SO FAR
EDIT: never mind Zulu assault is fuckin' rad
Kwiks is unironically good too, and on an era appropriate machine Cool Run 2 is impressive and works well. Monsters & Mayhem is a really good port of the arcade classic Gauntlet, and Doom 95 is included, which we all know is absolutely fantastic.
The spirit of my younger self thanks you Vinny. I didn't think it would get worse than Earth Destruction but I also got reminded of Fire Guy and Penut Hunt (and more), this has certainly been a bizarre trip down memory lane.
21:02 holy shit they stole a Kraftwerk song for this (Das Model)... or more specifically the Rammstein cover of it
THANK YOU GODDAMNIT.
It was driving me absolutely insane trying to figure out where i knew it from.
God i love kraftwerk.
I just wanted to write that...
Verdammt!
John Mc Johnson "Himmel, Arsch und Zwirn! Zum Teufel damit!"
@@chiefsmokey7189 i'd like to take her home, that's understood
Knuddel's Quest is a Sokoban game that you can't exit so
automatically great
The midi music at the end was very fitting. Vinny has truly accomplished something great here.
man, i remember the dumb mega man ripoff game and the rat one, but i don't remember the bizarre rat porn sound effects. not sure if they were added for this collection or if my dad's work computer just didn't have a sound card in the dark days of the 90s
that compilation is absolutely great. so much obscure stuff. some of those games seem to be made by kids. the true spirit of postcardware.
SInce nobody else seems to have said it: Vinny, that "purple Garfield" was Eek the Cat, a cartoon from the '90s. He even had his own game.
I think someone did say that, though they probably deleted their comment.
39:33 reminds me of the good old days
Raising Dead looks like one of those fake video games you see a character play in TV & movies whenever they want to demonstrate that someone is playing a "violent" video game.
also jesus christ i just heard smash mouth, kraftwerk and giorgio moroder ripped off in the space of these two hours, what was with these cheapo game devs and complete musical unoriginality in the late 90s
FUCK! I had this disc of 2000 Shareware Games, and I _specifically_ remember Micro Man! ...Specifically how it just ended with you falling down a bottomless pit until you suddenly died. Like, the version I played just had a boss then an impassable pit like that. So yeah. That was a thing.
I feel kinda weird knowing Moz-Pong was one of the first games I every played. I also do vaguely remember Mico-man being on an old win 95 game pack (Nothing but Action) but I don't remember it having stolen sound assets (or sound at all.)
GAME. GAME O-. GAME
1:54:42 -- Holy crap, I remember playing that in middle school.
Peter Pineapple's story sounds like the plot to some Saturday morning cartoon in the mid to late 90s.
I just effin' realized.
That the title music for "Mutant Animals On Wheels" is the same as the title music for "Uncle Sad Bedroom".
...They both have to be related, somehow.
Coming back here to re write a bad comment i did, mutant animal on wheels is from 1999 i think (the time tgf or klik wad famous). More older than the game or music you taking about!
Salameanderer and Cool Run 2 were two games that I also remembered playing during my childhood! Cool Run was my favorite to play because of the music and the game play it was awesome! I've managed to beat it some week ago but it was only a 2-level demo version of it but it was still cool though!
Salameanderer was another game I used to play a lot when I was a kid but I had trouble getting pass the first level and it's nice to see obscure games being shown on this website because I've been trying to find the games that I used to play during childhood and I'm happy that's it's here on this website! Great video, VInny! :)
They stole Eek the cat's image
cumbaya
Daddy Steel I was thinking, why the fuck is eek the cat in the game?
Purple garfield
Eek was the cat version of Courage the Cowardly Dog lol.
Eek the Cat makes Bubsy look like Heathcliff
I saw "Eek the Cat" in the thumbnail....
Please let there be a Eek the Cat game in this collection
NorskTegnefilmSang Thought the same thing, but sadly no...
I'd've taken an Elmo the Elk keeping Timmy safe title over anything...
No but he's in the game over screen of one of them
Vinnie called it purple garfield jumpscare lmao
anyone else scream in joy when they saw this in their video feed? yipee
David Bux yes
I screamed in abject horror.
1:52:14
SSAO? Wait, you mean this game had Screen Space Ambient Occlusion way before Crysis?
26:26 wasn't that an AOL chatroom/IM sound effect?
Years later only now have I noticed a hidden speed luigi in the bottom right corner
The funniest thing about this is how little he can take the game before quitting and going back to that same damn title screen
"RIP john romero" was so good
I actually remember playing the fuck out of Monsters and Mayhem. Enjoyed it back then
I actually want to play and finish kwisk.
31:58 Nice invisible green text.
About the Rats game, I think it isn't too bad. Sounds effects are hilarious on the other hand.
As a kid I went to a day care place and in the computer room they had MicroMan, not kidding. I have like a weird nostalgia of seeing the screens with the UFO and the teleporters.
I'm surprised he didn't say anything about the midi Nutcracker music during Mutant Animals on Wheels
Same with that god awful midi of Dreams by Van Halen during Zone Zero
DMCA Violation: The Game
YOOO I REMEMBER I WAS PLAYING ZULU ASSAULT IN 2001 WHEN THE TWIN TOWERS GOT HIT
To be honest, if I had this game back in the 90s, I would love most of the games, because we knew nothing better. Of course, today it looks like a LSD trip.
that ufo sound effect is Mario and Luigi partners in time
Anybody notice Zone Zero had "Dreams" by Van Halen playing?
I don't agree with Vinny's assessment that statistically at least one person bought all of these games, because my guess is that the median owner of this collection bought exactly zero of them.
1:02:43 Where's Morshu when you need him? Mmmmmhm
Raising Dead is the official Chuggo simulator
I thought I was about to get rickrolled at 20:54
The writing for Logans fight was like pulp fiction
Holy crap Rings of the Magi! I... remember that game! It wasn't actually that bad, but just a tad strange and really difficult. I didn't get it on a collection though. It was (I think) a random shareware game I got with a magazine.
I loved Logan's Fight! I thought it was "Logan's Run" so I was beginning to wonder if I had either imagined this weird Slavic Flashback clone, or time had forgotten it. Nope, just Mandela Effected myself because I'm a dope. 😺 Glad to see these games are still floating around, I loved shareware garbage like this growing up
10:33 Hey it's Eek the cat.
Awwh, I liked the Rats game as a kid! Never knew it had sounds like that, though... The computer I'd play it on didn't have speakers... Which probably was a good thing.
In the animals on wheels game, the track looks like Rainbow Road.
Games with stolen assets? Somebody, call Jim Sterling!
GAME OVA SISTA'!
Miguel A. Spain move over man
Purple Garfield is called Eek The Cat, great cartoon, better than garfield's at least
Why is Prokofiev playing during the mutant animals intro
1:02:39 I-i... I used to play this game back then... Holy shit
im so sorry for you, hopefully you didnt suffered
The music at 10:00 is ripped from the GBA DBZ games I think...
I had a disk that had Zulu assault on it. That games actually a bit decent but it's not long (so I may have only had a 5 level demo or something)
Noop is actually Cappy in its original form.
I'm kind of sad he didn't do Phobia 2. That was an actually good game on this collection.
Smiley was smiling because it got away with stealing Shoot Nukethem music
I like how there's only a couple competent looking games in this collection. One of them is 3D snake and the other is a clone of Gauntlet. Not bad at all but is it worth the price of the rest of the games?
AH! Smiley's Adventure! Knuddels golf! Damn I played these alot as a kid..we always called Smiley the bee game lol
I played microman on AOL back during the dialup days, and i can tell you that it’s not nearly as hard as vinny makes it seem
Yakkity Sax was in this, I'm happy now.
Holy shit I remember some of these games from a similar collection I had for PC. Oddly enough, on the collection I had there was some real games mixed in like Lost Vikings and such
That's metropolis by kraftwerk in the game around 22:00, I think? It's certainly a kraftwerk piece
It's "The Model". Nothing says medieval dungeons like late 70's electronic music!
