I think a lot of people are going to be a LITTLE surprised at that video. I'm really hoping that people UNDERSTAND what's going on with that choice. I've watched people reacting to last year's choice (Dr. Stein, by Helloween), and there's SO MUCH IN THAT song that most people didn't even notice, and they still aren't noticing. Dan doesn't do things without a purpose. When I watched Dr. Stein (I didn't want to, but Holy Spirit said, "Watch It...then you'll understand." so I did), one of the first things I did was got get the lyrics. Then I discovered the rest of the album, and THEN I understood where Dan was going with that song. This one coming up may be even a bit MORE startling for some people, but...once again, LOOK AT THE LYRICS CAREFULLY, and then look at all the lyrics for the entire album that it is part of. I hope people will DO that, and not cut any corners. It's VERY important. Again--Dan doesn't do things lightly, or on accident. I'm torn between hoping against hope and being prepared to be disappointed (by the listeners & reactors...not Dan).
Anyone who questions Dan's faith need only listen to the entire Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom album, as well as For All, Gethsemane, Joy(a very early cover of a song by the Newsboys, so early that he didn't even show himself!), and Beyond Belief. They also need to remember that he has said that it was Petra's Jekyll And Hyde that made him want to be a singer in the first place. They also need to remember that only God can see our hearts and only God has the right to judge anyone. You made some excellent points, @GrandmasGotGraceLW.

There are 24 frames and he usually does the same passage 3 to 4 times... can you imagine the absurd amount of time he spent just filming this video? And then, in the editing, in the mixing... Daniel is a perfectionist and extremely detail-oriented. He calls this cover "my insanity" and says it was his most ambitious project to date. If this is his madness, bless him!! I've watched this several times just so i can see the individual Dans doing Dan things to each part❤ Your great delight in seeing this rendition by Dan was the same as mine!!
