My only issue with this assessment is #6 Isn't that always the biggest question of all and poor thing to say following her track history. She peaked in the 80's then like the phoenix with Ray of Light not stumbling with Music came back with Confessions in the 2000's. And despite being blackballed on US radio for the majority of that decade ended up being the #1 singles artist of that decade here. No doubt Hard Candy/MDNA didn't live up to EVERYONE'S expectations but they're both good and if had been released by younger artist they would've been more successful. I love both of them 2 different vibes. This album is the goods. Regardless of sales she brought it home. And it's awesome seeing this bitch doing her thing since before I was even born. She is the reason Beyonce and Lady Gaga and others can have the career they have. She paved the way and created the rights. I agree with what you said. I have followed her career since the 90's and have have been critical of some of her decision making but only because it didn't fit into my own ideals and beliefs. Once I realized that her vision wasn't necessarily executed for my needs, I came to appreciate her music and career. There is no denying that she built her success on a dream, despite losing her mother at a very young age, questioning her religious beliefs, leaving college before graduation, living on pennies, getting raped (emotionally, physically), and lambasted until now because of what she has stood for. She had ambition and she went for it and she has proven that success takes a lot of work and levels of persistence few of us understand. I have a feeling the hole she leaves upon death will be one felt by those who are most critical of her life because her life's story will reveal that she was another human being looking to challenge the way we view ourselves and our neighbors.

I was too young to understand what her platform or mission was at the time and the media rallied to try to destroy her career. I truly thought she was over. Low and behold, Ray of Light came out but for me, Evita helped me realize how amazing and talented this woman was. Truth be told, that was the first musical I had ever seen and I only saw it because Madonna was Eva Peron. After Confessions on a Dance Floor, I found myself losing interest in her work. This was also at a time when she took a step back from creating music a la studio album. Hard Candy came out and it never truly peaked my interest. It probably wasn't until her Super Bowl performance that I found myself intrigued by her again. Went to her MDNA concert with some friends and this "Rebel Heart" album has peaked my interest in a way that the last 2 or 3 albums have not. From the few times I have listened to those tracks already released and the few that were leaked, I truly feel this is one of her best albums and it hasn't even launched or completed.
Living for Love reminds me a lot of Like A Prayer... Madonna's vocal is strong and she is belting it with passion. It sounds like an instant hit! It should be released as a single.

Rebel Heart I also like Ghosttown, heck I love it :) It very melodic, deep and meaningful. Then, we have "De*il pray" which is actually a nice dance track, and I mean dance track with an actual quality, not Your pointless eurodance, or cheep EDM. It also has these reggae - like elements. And a strong message. Next on my list would be Illuminati, which is a tad bit overpowered with rhythm and loud music with way too fast tempo. But it's still very good, and addresses important social issue, conspiracy theories freaks. Even if they don't oh well it changes nothing that it's an awesome song. Lead single "Living For Love" was serviced to U.S. radio stations on Dec. 22 by Madonna's label Interscope, with a bigger push coming in January. An official music video will be filmed next month as well, with a planned release for the "first week of February".
While watching the incredible music video I couldn't help but recall this was all created and finished rapidly within a very short period of time. They scrambled to put this together under pressure but the Queen is always best when her back is against the wall. The result... Iconic and flawless.

My only issue with this assessment is #6 Isn't that always the biggest question of all and poor thing to say following her track history. She peaked in the 80's then like the phoenix with Ray of Light not stumbling with Music came back with Confessions in the 2000's. And despite being blackballed on US radio for the majority of that decade ended up being the #1 singles artist of that decade here. No doubt Hard Candy/MDNA didn't live up to EVERYONE'S expectations but they're both good and if had been released by younger artist they would've been more successful. I love both of them 2 different vibes. This album is the goods. Regardless of sales she brought it home. And it's awesome seeing this bitch doing her thing since before I was even born. That's LEGACY!

She is the reason Beyonce and Lady Gaga and others can have the career they have. She paved the way and created the rights. When she auditioned for Evita, they said no and she wanted it so bad, to portray the part, and wrote letters and finally she became Evita. For the haters, go work on your own lives and find your own dreams and pursue them. No one can please everyone all the time. And Madonna is timeless. She is an icon. Live with it.
I agree with what you said. I have followed her career since the 90's and have have been critical of some of her decision making but only because it didn't fit into my own ideals and beliefs. Once I realized that her vision wasn't necessarily executed for my needs, I came to appreciate her music and career. There is no denying that she built her success on a dream, despite losing her mother at a very young age, questioning her religious beliefs, leaving college before graduation, living on pennies, getting raped (emotionally, physically), and lambasted until now because of what she has stood for. She had ambition and she went for it and she has proven that success takes a lot of work and levels of persistence few of us understand. I have a feeling the hole she leaves upon death will be one felt by those who are most critical of her life because her life's story will reveal that she was another human being looking to challenge the way we view ourselves and our neighbors.

I was too young to understand what her platform or mission was at the time and the media rallied to try to destroy her career. I truly thought she was over. Low and behold, Ray of Light came out but for me, Evita helped me realize how amazing and talented this woman was. Truth be told, that was the first musical I had ever seen and I only saw it because Madonna was Eva Peron. After Confessions on a Dance Floor, I found myself losing interest in her work. This was also at a time when she took a step back from creating music a la studio album. Hard Candy came out and it never truly peaked my interest. It probably wasn't until her Super Bowl performance that I found myself intrigued by her again. Went to her MDNA concert with some friends and this "Rebel Heart" album has peaked my interest in a way that the last 2 or 3 albums have not. From the few times I have listened to those tracks already released and the few that were leaked, I truly feel this is one of her best albums and it hasn't even launched or completed.
Living for Love reminds me a lot of Like A Prayer... Madonna's vocal is strong and she is belting it with passion. It sounds like an instant hit! It should be released as a single.

Rebel Heart I also like Ghosttown, heck I love it :) It very melodic, deep and meaningful. Then, we have "De*il pray" which is actually a nice dance track, and I mean dance track with an actual quality, not Your pointless eurodance, or cheep EDM. It also has these reggae - like elements. And a strong message. Next on my list would be Illuminati, which is a tad bit overpowered with rhythm and loud music with way too fast tempo. But it's still very good, and addresses important social issue, conspiracy theories freaks. Unapologetic and Bit** I'm Madonna, are the least favorite to me, but I guess they were not really meant to be taken seriously anyway.

Living For Love has only been released for digital download. Not released as an official single, to radio, nor physically. It has gone to #1 in over 20 +countries. It hit #1 on Billboard trending. It won't be serviced officially to radio until January in the US and then the video coming sometime in January/February. In February is when the song will also be released in the UK so it wouldn't get penalized like GMAYL when days worth of download sales were being discounted by The Official Charts Company as a result of a promotional offer that allowed the song to be downloaded for free if pre-ordering the album MDNA. The song peaked at #37, resulting in her worst performance for a lead single since "Everybody" in 1982. So obviously didn't want to make that mistake again. Plus the Grammy's are in early February and she is to perform.
Once the video comes out for streaming, then single sells decent and if radio picks it up she could surely hit the Hot 100. Even if it does chart this coming week it will drop off because there is nothing to buffer it. It would re-enter later once the ball gets rolling.

Well, to explain it, I really liked Madonna's music. I just hated her side where she shades other celebrities especially Gaga considering she's my first, and Madge as second. So I guess you could say I have a love/hate thing for the Queen whether you like it or not.

People relax with radio, lets give them a fair shot, this song was softly serviced to radio over Xmas when people aren't even there. It will be officially released to radio in January. Even if they don't oh well it changes nothing that it's an awesome song.
Lead single "Living For Love" was serviced to U.S. radio stations on Dec. 22 by Madonna's label Interscope, with a bigger push coming in January. An official music video will be filmed next month as well, with a planned release for the "first week of February".

Judging by the 6 tracks I've heard so far I think this will be her best album since Confessions, I can't wait to hear the rest of the album when it's released. Can't believe how pretty Madonna still looks and how catchy her music still is. I bought the True Blue tape as a kid and loved her ever since. She's somehow managed to be on top in a very young girl's game. Amazing. And yes, it's still possible to enjoy Express Yourself and Born this Way. I certainly do!
