She has embraced her life as a mother but has never forgot how to become relevant as a performer. Not many (women) can have such a long carreer in music as she has had. Look at all the others tumbling and failing after a certain age. When have you see Madonna shaving her head or being taken to jail for driving and drinking or causing a mess while on drugs. She IS a model to follow.

That year almost killed me...literally. on January 2nd of that year, I commenced a health battle that required over a month in the hospital, nearly cost me my life, and forced me to have to learn how to walk again. Ive been a Madonna Fan for 32 years and this is Madonna at her most physically powerful and commanding, perhaps ever. This is the superhuman Madonna of legend, not of reality, which we see in painful Instagram gaffes and that ricket-ridden appearance on stage with Macklemore at the 2013 Grammys.
It’s all still there. The immaculate use of gesture, the peerless gyration. It was a moment when, as the lyrics of “Living for Love” suggest, Madonna picked up her crown and put it back on her head. She’s not just keeping up, as many have accused her of failing to do in recent years.
Madonna’s greatest adversaries live within institutions she helped to build: catty gay men who prefer someone newer, pop divas who don’t know their place, gossip sites that trade on the brand of celebrity Madonna invented, and third-wave feminists who willfully submerge Madonna’s importance.
One has to believe that anyone with the audacity to tell Madonna to stop has slept through the first three decades of her career. The entire premise of the Madonna enterprise is that she’s an unstoppable force, who will do as she pleases without yielding for criticism. As fans, we go through the fruitless motions of defending her: Sometimes that’s easy and sometimes it’s a challenge. This is not a difficult time to stand up for Madonna. I would have to give exposition and context, a bit of history and a bit of religion. But her latest video, praise be, doesn’t require me to do that. It speaks for itself.
At best, Madonna’s recent albums have been described as “savvy.” In her new video, Madonna is not being savvy. Madonna is being Madonna.

Jason, I have to agree. Her music was a great escapism for me when I was in my 20's. Her songs had a way of making sense to me and I couldn't stop playing them. I left her corner for some years and came back after her Hard Candy era. You could say that the Superbowl helped me realize what a force she is in this industry and how much fortitude she has to continue working and pushing boundaries as she ages. As someone approaching my 40's, I have to say that I am glad that she is indeed refusing to "retire" or "play grandma" as her critics have stated relentlessly. She can do both and do it successfully. And let me add that this is my favorite album next to "Life A Prayer" and "Ray of Light."

The meaning of this video is so clear that I pity those who can't understand it and give it a negative undertone. Its most obvious message, among many others, is just her fighting her demons (represented by Minotaurs), controlling them like a matador, and then killing them. Bullfighting is an old tradition that symbolizes good vs. evil. It dates back to Greek mythology in many ways. Her heart was broken by someone who meant so much to her, but she's not going to let that sink her, she's going to live for love and let it lift her back on her feet. It’s also the most obvious reference on earth to Take a Bow's video, but this time she’s in control. By the way, she's not saying she's in favor of this tradition; it's just an artistic representation of the song's meaning, a metaphor.

I can't stand this video, aside from what it means (and that alone is meaningless). It is all CGI, I can see it having done some of this sort of thing myself. I also know that what is going on is possible; the martial arts I am in has made that obvious. So this video is bugging me so much; bad CGI when it could have actually really been done in real life or at least been done with better quality.
