After 14 years of dancing/ competing and living in the dance community i have never seen something as amazing as this routine!! I think that all the non haters commenting are soooo right saying that this routine is inspirational, and as for the haters, its because of people like you that we work harder to be the best dancers we can be. WOW this message is so strong. Notice they're just dancing to beats until at 4:45 they finally REALLY express their emotion for dance and that's when lyrics to the song come in, not just an instrumental. Before, the words they were hearing were not words in a song, but words from people that didn't believe in them, and now they fully engage themselves in the music and show why they've always kept dancing in the first place, LOVE.
Paul Ross piece was my favorite...they were so precise that they had finger / hand positions all so clean. From the front row you could really pick out that they were clean to the most minute detail. More importantly, such creative beat killing across all these instrumentals - so so so sick.
To all the people hating on Choreo Cookies in this comment thread, you guys are one of the reasons why they put this piece together. Not believing THIS piece could not place 1st......don't worry, they still love you.
@LAholler I love choreo cookies & i've been following them for 5 years now. I keep in contact with a few of their members & still get hook up on their shirts. SO because you don't know me...please don't judge me by saying you love CC more than I do (no1 can judge that), that I don't watch any other crews when I do or haven't seen Academy of Villains when I have. They placed 2nd for a reason that we won't know & shouldn't argue over. We both love CC, so lets just spread the cookie love
oh and one more thing, I think I met your crew at the guppies in irvine when i was working. I was the one asking if you guys where a dance team and i did a little poppin haha. Anyways...
@phawhq Not going to lie... since body rock 2009 or 2008. I was thinking... no one will ever beat these guys. That one controversial year with GRV. The best thing about it all... is all the choreographers and directors are all probably really good friends. I love that. Competition makes them up their game but friendship and companionship keeps them honest and humble.
@samoawarrior I completely agree with you. I am one of the biggest Choreo Cookies fans, but they weren't as in sync and clean as they usually are.. the transitions i felt didnt live up to choreo cookies standards too. choreo was awesome but execution wasnt up to par
@samoawarrior To say that the placed because they are CC is to say that CC is more prestigious then all the other teams which, i think you'll agree with me, is not true. SGBM, KABA, GRV, the Company and all the others are just as prestigious. I'll admit its not the best CC performance but they won cause the judges don't just score teams by cleanliness alone. There was a message that they wanted to convey and they did it brilliantly.
I can only criticize you guys when I can dance full out with duct tape on my mouth ^__^ Thanks for the inspiration once again Cookiessss ! P.S I want one of those snapbacks!!

@LAholler thank you... at first im like... I'm tripping right? Is the music off? There are parts where they are hitting beats match for match. I'm really disappointed. But what I can say is that I'm sure everyone on CC put in the work, so mad love and respect to them, but this isn't Choreo Cookies standards. I love you guys but you are all way better than this.

I'm not a judge, nor am I the MAJORITY. It's a dance competition, not an art competition. I'm not saying that art in dance means nothing. What I am saying is that with the mistakes, which were abundant, are the MAJORITY and the judges placing them based on skill and art, or simply because they are CC.

This was lacking...right up until the Jay Z song hit. I don't even like Jay Z, but I think it's just a matter of you guys being so much better at dancing to songs than instrumentals.

If your telling me that they made no mistakes and that every single one of them was on beat every second of the routine then you know your a bold face liar. Everyone loves CC, including me. But for you to try to make my opinion invalid only shows your a fanboy or fangirl. You simply defend them because they are CC, not based on the performance alone.

Watching this set live was too amazing. Their message spoke to me loud and clear. You know they're good when they can speak to you just by dancing.
