In my opinion her accent sounds Italian.

I'm not a mechanical engineer, but the if gyroscope does it's job then it should be impossible for the user to fall while the skates are moving (Given the user has at least moderate practice). Although, it seems as if these wheels don't allow the user to tilt which is a massive hindrance. If someone could match the design of an electric unicycle, but compacted into skates, that would be something i would buy.

Eh useless, I’m a fan of this tech but actual roller skates are only cool because of the physical engagement it requires to get moving. This totally defeats the purpose. Much rather have a uni wheel or a board rather than skates.
a board like the one wheel is better or even an E-unicycle, they are safer because of bigger wheels and not susceptible to surface hazards but it depends on the use case, most people just get them for fun like "hoverboards" vs most other devices are meant to be actual tranportation. these electric skates go about twice avg walking speed and can even edge out running speed, so it would certainly be a niche below having a bicycle
What is the point of not being connected to your shoes? Maybe to jump off when something weird happens. I find them weird, why reinvent the wheel and not just electrify regular style skates? Great video, quite funny too!

Takes a bit of time to get used to. But once you do, it is very fun to ride. I have used a hoverboard for years, there is a learning curve when it comes to using two separate skate. They are bit on the heavy side, the straps make it really easy to carry.
I would love to start a roller skating club for middle aged bored moms and singles and help each other overcome fears together and hopefully make new friends.

it would not be safe, because if you try to "step off" the skate will go with you and would be unpredictable when you think you are "stepping onto the ground", the device senses the angle/pressure of the foot and could turn the motor on full blast when you are expecting it to be stable, it is better/safer just to learn to "bail out" and leave them behind
It's so stupid. They could have just motorized NORMAL ROLLER SKATES - Imagine if instead of spending a full day trying to get used to this garbage strapless design, you could just strap into a normal, easy to control pair of quad wheel skates. And just go.
She has a [custom] 336 on a Reactor Pro plate [with a grind-block] and tries out those? The grind-block on her skates tells me that she won't really like the electric skates at all.

I will keep walking though since medical study proof that people who walks more than 7,500 steps per day has 11 years delay of possibility to develop Alzheimer while also been healthier mentally and physically with better ability for problem solving. The fact that they don't communicate with each other at all seems like a glaring omission on the part of their design. Overall, seems very "beta" to me. But maybe later models have improved on this. The Shift Robotics "Moonwalkers" seem far superior, way safer, more stable, better-designed, more intelligent and more fun and practical. I'd get some Moonwalkers before I'd ever try these. Moonwalkers seem literally lightyears beyond these Segway Drift skates, from what I've seen so far.

No way. The battery probably will not long. 15-20 minutes? Even if the battery could provide 1 hour (which unlikely), for me its not enough.

Exactly! Like electric or gas powered reel mowers - not quite an improvement. Maybe except for the scooters, those suck in the original form as well.

Doesn't look like you can dance on them. 45 minutes is not a lot of time at all. Curbs seem to be a nightmare.
