Anyone who works in the food industry will tell you most people, including chefs, are not out here making phyllo pastry. He's claiming he MADE the pastry when top chefs don't even do that.

If most restaurants are buying in their phyllo pastry because even pastry chefs aren't trying to spend the time to do it, I doubt he did it. He likes to brag and we would have heard ALL about it in the video because it's extremely laborious.

I'm not gonna lie this easily became my favorite bunch. Regan's so chill and his reactions just send me, Vish's smack talk is so brutal but you can't hate because he's the best, and Shilpesh out hear knows what it should be, but his execution just fails horribly. As an Indian who grew up in India and America, it's very interesting to see the British Indian subculture. I love their accents, so pleasing to listen to. And it's cool how they don't seem to be ashamed of their heritage and are proud to be of Indian origin
Lol I think y'all should make them cook it in a kitchen where they are monitored. Too many store bought allegations, and we only take their word that they prepared it themselves. Fair would be to bring each person into a test kitchen to prepare their dish.
Vish probably did make the samosa (i.e. the filling and wrapping) although the pastry was likely store bought. I’ve made samosas at home using spring roll wrappers and the results are similar to his where you get the crispy shell.
I mean Vish said he used filo which you can buy ready and sprinkle with curry and tumeric so he def made them but not the pastry which in his defense is how I’d make them at home as well.

A lot of Douglas just look like darker skinned Indians with curlyish to zigzag hair which they got from their black side of the family. Look up Sri Lankhan guys like Angelo Matthews etc. That's how a lot of Douglas look.

Back home in Madagascar, we call it Samboss, but it's basically the same thing... No curry lotsa ground meat + spring onions. Tastes even better when you dip it into dat spicy Lil' sakay (🌶️)

I call shenanigans on Vish’s samosas…he didn’t make that phyllo dough from scratch- it’s a lost art that takes people many years of regular (bakery) practice to perfect, and even trained pastry chefs can’t do it. Additionally, you make the dough with warm water, not sparkling water which would be room temp at best. Even if he somehow grew up learning how to make it- there no way he could get the layers so thin and even. Calling you out Vish- show us a video of how you make everything from scratch or it didn’t happen.
