- Finally got to go visit our local library. This video is a request fulfillment for a woman who put in her request over a year ago! I surely hope she gets to see this because it has been a long time waiting. The darn Coronavirus put a lot of things to a halt. Here we are finally. Making this video may have been the reason I got the virus myself! Wherever do germs lurk? But we can't stop living now, can we? We should not fear. But here it is. I am still alive and I love this video. I hope you will too.

Books are literally part of my life because my beloved Father ❤️was a collector,an enthusiast and a great connoisseur of those treasures of knowledge. I don't even need to go to the library, because, during his whole life he bought more than 7000 books about everything. It's something awesome. I go in the huge living room,sit on his armchair,and I can still feel his silent presence in that magical place, next to me, after more than 12 years . His glasses, the gentle sound of his hands, turning pages, teaching me more than all the professors at high school and university... starting to read when I was 3 years old... everything is painted in my mind, loving memories of the past...and the delicate sound of your beautiful and relaxing video brings me back in time. I had really a beautiful childhood, carefully raised up ( I am an only child) by my wise Father, my Mother and... my sweet, adorable Granny (she lived with us because her Husband died when my Father was only a 12 years old boy. I used to call her "mommy number two" when I was a little girl, because she took good care of me, when my parents were away from home because of their work, business travels...) She has been a priceless guide for me, I still remember her voice,her beautiful blue eyes and her hair, white as snow and soft as a cloud. She left us 🕯️ when I was 16, unfortunately. Well, this is another chapter of my life, unforgettable memories of the "family's pictures album" of a random Italian woman...me. A friendly greeting. Amber. Everytime i go to the library i always took a sniff of the books i think look interesting or smell good.Old,new,neutral,i will sniff them all
I never had heard of that until I met my husband. Now I do it too! Our 5 senses are amazing!
When I was in high school many years ago, I read a murder /mystery book by Agatha Christie, it was called Murder at Hazelmoore, never forgot it was great! I'm now 57 and still think about that book.
Maybe you should try reading more of her books. Even if it’s just for nostalgia. 🤷🏻♀️🥰🌹🌹🌹

Hi Rebecca, you are probably thew most talented ASMR artist I've ever experienced on youtube. Your library visit videos, especially! I play them as background sound when I read. I also love that you look at the first and last pages of the books, and I've read quite a few of them after seeing them on your videos. The book sounds, the paper and cover crinkles, you get it all.

Love your library videos, I find them very soothing and relaxing - the crinkle of the covers etc...Books are one of my favourite things, I have the most amazing local library. There’s big comfy lounge chairs you can sit in to read, just wish I had more time to do that!

I have not been to the library in so long. I used to love going to just touch all of the books and also to sit among the crafting books and flip through the pages.

Honestly I always loved the plastic jackets done by the library and the nice lamination of paperback books. I'm a klutz who drags their books everywhere so a little extra insurance on book condition is a must 🤭👏 Thank you public libraries 💕

Have always enjoyed my local libraries, even as a child. Book sounds and page turning is the best! Our libraries here have been open for a short time now with limited capacity and mask requirements. We have a little county extension library in my neighborhood that requires appointments to go inside. I think libraries are essential! Great video! :)
Thankfully were completely back open with no restrictions. But we had them for a while.

I love reading, tho my eyes aren't what they used to be. In the 60s, our parents used to take us to story hour at our local library. I enjoyed that. And of course, my mother, God rest her soul, read to me every night as a child. Thank u for bringing back such nice memories.

Such nice sounds💖. I love the library. My brother works at our local library. He can get me access to the really old books if I want to take a look at them. I can't give myself asmr tingles though no matter how hard I try.

However, by slowly turning pages and focusing in closely to the sounds I am making, I can get into a trance-like state of mind and get super relaxed. Especially with my crinkly magazines or notebooks. 🤤😴 But it’s all sooo much better when someone else does it. Just like food and cooking. 😉

I'm sure the atmosphere at the library was one of the first ASMR moments for many of us. It's the perfect environment...quiet, crinkly book jacket covers, cracking book spines, pages ruffling; even the gently metallic "thunk" as you replace the book on the shelf. I used to work in the library through my college years...dream job! Early on in the video, you paused at the series of bakery mysteries by Joanne Fluke...did you know the Hallmark Channel made a series based on those books, called, 'Murder She Baked?' I didn't realize Fluke's books were the inspiration for that! I'll have to check them out of my library now! Hope you're feeling better every day, dear

We're almost at the end of lockdown 😁 here in the U.K 🇬🇧, so I'll be able to go back to my local library whatever day I wish. Before, it was only open on certain days and then only for a couple of hours. Love the book sounds, they are so soothing. I used to work in a bookstore, when I was young (sigh) and I used to put the plastic over the dust covers of hard cover books... we called it ''over wrapping''..Not once did I ever have a brain orgasm..if I did I would be doing that all of the time. Lol

The bookstore was located in a mall, so the mall muzak/shoppers, drowned out the sounds..
There was a young boy who used to come in everyday. He would head to the sci fi section, and read the books, while scratching the front cover of the book (sci fi books, back then, always had raised covers, maybe they still do, I don't know)..and it was bliss.
I tried to be around the area that he was in, pretending to do inventory..Lol
That’s such a great story! I totally relate in that I used to stand near the person who was stocking the shelves at the grocery store. Bags of chips were heavenly!
