Ok seriously. You melted my face off! Great jam of a JH classic. Best I've seen it done since SRV. Ya blew me away! Thanks for keeping the good ones alive, bro. Bass and drums were on point and very, very tight. Somebody get that keyboard player a rock-n-roll face. He smiles a lot and its kinda creepy. Lmao! He was excellent too. MB...ya just were next level. Incredible performance. Thanks for posting.
I dug the hell out of this, Michael played some nice, modal stuff over the E minor vamp, and he also payed homage to Jimi… he also Shredded a little which is nice to hear, other than the same bluesy/rocky approach that a lot of people take with this song, can’t go wrong with that approach , it sounds great, other stuff sounds great as well. This is “Jamming “ at its finest.
@@neighborhoodpicnic2022 met him in Johnson City, TN at Honeycutt's music where he jammed outside...he gave us all he had! Did a Led Zep medley that was awesome. Gave my son an autograph...he's going to music college in Nashville in 3 months! I raised him in the stuff you guys play..like being in my room in tbe 70s . Glad I found ya.
And I'd be glad to tell you! I'm Dan the drummer and I do the audio and video production. If you notice on my high-hat side, I have 2 Zoom 8 channel recording units. We use a splitter (right in front of the drums). All the mikes and line outs go into the spltter. I get 16 tracks to my decks and the other 16 go to the board. I end up with individual tracks right off the instruments and mikes. I bring them into my DAW and mix from there. Any other questions feel free to ask!
You guys should be playing at Festivals, seriously. You want to really make a Statement??? My suggestion is , Everyone in the band wears a black shirt ( no insignia’s, maybe white stripes here and there). You all wear long hair wigs, either black or white, along with unique sunglasses . Sounds Stupid, but it’s unique, and cool, and would take you out of the old man band vibe. Because you guys are amazing,,
Hey guys what's up! You're tearing it up Mikey! I thought that was you. You guys rocked it! God bless you! Peace!
I'm 72 and its been at least 50 years since I seen a band with the balls and talent to even touch this song! Bad ass 😎👍
SRV ring a bell? But agreed, Mike Batio is a beast of a shredder!
What a wild song, thanks Jimi.
The Drummer is spot on in every video of this band. Hats off to him. Fucking Bad Ass player.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Bass and drums- locked in tightly! Love it
Hoping for a Neighborhood Band 2023 show on here soon!
Absolutely awesome. 😅
Absolutely loved it!!

You guys brought the essence of the Hendrix legacy into view.

Nice when MAB just drops in to your little picnic in the park! He couldn't ask for a better group of players, though.😎👍
Excelente!

Yeah, a more modern approach while still paying tribute to Jimi. I dug it too! Dude's an animal!
Jimi is so proud of you and so am I (74).
Awesome...!
That's what you call having fun

Yes, it is! We've been close friends with Mike since 1970!

Wow.
What neighborhood is this that has such great musicians that includes Michael Angelo Baton?
It's the northwest suburbs of Chicago. We've known each other since we were 12. Some guys even longer.
No bad at all, Dans drumming is first rate!
Would love to know what their recording set up is they use wow
