Is there any continent differences when it comes to the size? Like the American/Japanese cards are bigger, and the European once are smaller. Cause my cards looks pretty small compared to yours? And I'm not a card expert, even though I'm a big Pokemon fan. Watching these videos, about how many fake cards there is, I've become paranoid about whether those cards I buyed are legit or not. I can't spot the difference.
don't bother inspecting the art work for 3 hours when u just check the white part where the artwork ends, you should see a faint black line. Black line = real card No black line = fake card
1:30 i have a card just like this, but it doesn’t have the spiral or straight line, my rainbow lines are diagonal and the shading is not off. i can’t tell if it’s real or not
you check the top left side of the BACK of the card with the POKEMON logo and see if the blue border blends in with the blue background of the logo, if that isn't enough to prove that your friend's Shiny M Rayquaza Full art EX isn't fake, check if it has a black line on the top of the card where the white is, if it has a clear black line it's real.
You know what's interesting. Fake cards (be it sports, Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, ect.) are actually against the law for stores to sell, as distributing counterfeit good is against the law. If you find stores doing it, you can report them to either your local police or the FBI for selling these products.
I find it interesting personally. Like people won't think making a fake Pokemon card would be taken seriously, but it actually is taken as a very serious crime. I just remembered a few years ago when a ship was raided for entering the US with millions of fake Pokemon cards. Which is basically when I found out how serious a crime it was.
+Crystal the Glaceon Lol, ive heard about Walmart having fake Pokémon cards, well lucky me, i live in Sweden and i've never found a faking store here, well R.I.P Walmart
at a flea market i found a pack of legendary treasures that had a unicorn with wings as the pack art. i bought it hoping the cards would have the pokemon with 1000 plus hp in it. but nope fake cards with the pokemon having normal hp. at my local fair however i bought a LT pack with normal pack art that did have pokemon with higher than normal hp.
I bought a bunch of HGSS cards on ebay. Turned out that half of them were fake. However, a little more than half were real with several decent rares and holo rares. But I am going to think twice about these cards.
I have a palkia i think its fake because there are pink/white/lightblue lines in between the border and the art on the back of the card... And it has the slightest of paper like texture.
I'm new to this, I'm 43 and my 7 and 5 year old are really into it so I'm trying to learn what I can. Am I correct when I noticed that, when talking about the shade being lighter on the fake one, I noticed that the shadeing around the Pokemon name on the back is also quite different as well. Is that a correct assumption. By the way thanks alot for the video it was a big help.
what's your thoughts on the old school way of spotting a fake....I always went by putting the card up to the light..and if you can see through it .then its fake..
In my local store i buy pokemon boosters for around 4 dollars? i inspected everything it was all real no signs of being fake but just incase you think its real or not?
+TrappedP0tato Between $3-4 it is more than likely legit. I sell them for $3 to compete with the local stores. For contract reasons, I can't disclose how much I pay for them from the distribution center though.
I'm kinda confused. I have Mega Charizard EX, and it has the same picture on the front as the fake ones you showed, but it has no shiny spirals, and the back looks the same as all my other Pokémon cards, but it says Mega Charizard EX in English, not Japanese at the top. Is it fake, or not?
UGH! I have no idea if my card is real or not. I have this Mega EX Charizard and I compared it to an official photo of a real EX Charizard card and it matches exactly then I watched a few videos and it does pair up to being real, but there are 2 factors that have me extremely suspicious and paranoid. 1. It came in a pack full of a bunch of rare cards and I'm going to bet they were cheap too (I didn't buy them) and 2. They came in a Pokemon Go box, which is a VERY clear sign they're fake, but when I watch videos my cards turn out legit and are very much real, but I still feel very paranoid. Is there anymore obvious ways to tell?
Hello Jordan i have been wondering if korean cards are fake i bought a box of rage of the broken sky and not sure if the cards are fake can you reply to make comment and tell me?
Please someone reply Really fast PLZZ!! My Pokémon cards I got off of Wish app It came with 20 ex it says it's 2017 Pokémon cards and there Darker than regular ones and the back Of the card is a different texture To it like its plastic kinda. Fake or real if it's fake is there A way to take them back I spent 10$ on them ;(
the spiral Mega Charizard is fake you can tell by spirals no other Mega has that and I think the other one is fake because big words are written in English instead of Chinese
you can't get get fake cards in booster packs in shopping centers you can only get fake cards if you get them online or if it says pokemon go on the packs
My friend traded a mew two normal for a ex gyarados and that was fake I told him "dude, that's fake don't get scammed." Then he was like "NOO I LIKE THIS GYARADOS!" And his sister said "if he says it's fake then it's fake." Then he traded back for the mewtwo
I watched a video, and still don't understand HOW you spot fake?! Ok, I got it about holographic flare, but than you showing cards and comment "that's obvious fake" it's not obvious at all! What is obvious? On a second group, the only difference you illustrating, is shadow. It seems stupid. Do you really think all "original" cards was printed the same time on the same machine, in one batch? It's not dollar bills, they was printed by different manufacturer, at different time on different printers, they will never be exactly same. How do you know, what shadow pattern is "original" and what is fake? Finally, let's determine "fake". What exactly do you mean by fake? They are cards (rectangular pieces of paper) with illustrations on them. The paper quality is not worst (or maybe even better). Why one is fake, when another is not? Or if we talking about manufacturer, do you ever familiar with legal aspect of the issue (patents, copyrights, etc.)? What is actual company who can only produce "original" cards? I don't believe it's exist. My son really get into this topic, and I try to understand the nature of the issue. It's really frustrating.
I have a mega charizard ex, everything is normal about it, except it says "evolves from gyrados-ex", friend says its a misprint, i dont quite believe him.
you can also tell if you compare the edges so how to prove its true so flip to the back where it sais pokemon so at the edges the fake cards has a lighter blue the real have a dark🙂
My friend has 3 really fake cards, Ampharos with 400 atk, Prime Meganium with 350 or 400 atk, and Prime Feraligtr with 300 atk . Their health is rounding up to 1000. I keep saying they are fake, he argues and says they're real, so I had to agree with him.
Can someone help me to tell if my card is fake cause I have a dragonite ex it's full art but I can't tell if it's real cause I got it from a place called going bananas and it was 5000 tickets for a pack so Idk if it is real :/
So all non shiny ex r fake???? I have world championships team plasma Gensesect ex and the only sign that points to fake is is that it doesnt shine. Is it? I wanna know this is my favorite card plz tell me
Thnx for telling me I have a local flea market that's sells box pokemon for 2$ and they look strange p.s. The fake charizard card on the left looks cool
My "friend" bought 20 fake Megas with no boarder and they were laminated and he knows there fake but is trading them for REAL ex cards and I'm F*CKING PISSED
JordanJapanNintendoFan✪ Phew, I thought mine were fake because the shading on the back looked a little darker than the real one on the screen. I guess its just my lighting....
I love how the Japanese have the english writing and the English ones have the Japanese writing (I assume it's Japanese because nintendo is based in Japan :p
This kid traded me my mega gyrados ex for a ex Lugia and a mewto ex and I figured out that they where fake and the mewto it had black when I ripped it but it had a signature on it so idk
3:27 I got those two Pokemon cards today and I went on TH-cam to see if they were fake and... My heart broke 💔

I can't spot the difference.
all real cards should be the same exact size, if they are smaller they are likely fake
JordanJapanNintendoFan✪ Mine are about 9X6cm.
. .
I still want the fake chasers
+SmurfsAndRaspberries
The real size is 8.8cm x 6.3cm so I think yours are legit
don't bother inspecting the art work for 3 hours when u just check the white part where the artwork ends, you should see a faint black line.
Black line = real card
No black line = fake card
I do that
I found a pokemon card on the way back from school and i have no idea if it is fake or not so thanks 💚💙💜
Full cards?
1:30 i have a card just like this, but it doesn’t have the spiral or straight line, my rainbow lines are diagonal and the shading is not off. i can’t tell if it’s real or not
Mega Rayquaza vs Slifer the sky dragon
Can you do how to spot fake friends next? Lmao
Look at them very closely throughout the day and see what they do.
I just started watching your videos and I like them. Look forward to more videos:-) Keep up the great work👊
Just saving everyone some time, but if the card is EX or better (mega or primal), ex is always shiny unless fake.
What is that song that was playing in the begining of the video
Your table looks cool
I once got a togapi called egg head! -_-
David.Lou. Hernandez hi im getting bullied just for getting fake pokemons
I remember whenever booster packs actually were just a dollar

02:58 Exeggutor evolves from voltorb
No
I just got fake packs from a corner shop i got a Lugia EX full art and it feels rough and the border at the front and back are way off.
You know what's interesting. Fake cards (be it sports, Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, ect.) are actually against the law for stores to sell, as distributing counterfeit good is against the law.

I know. I would, but it would take a while to do and it doesn't matter if I don't get them.😀
I find it interesting personally. Like people won't think making a fake Pokemon card would be taken seriously, but it actually is taken as a very serious crime.
I just remembered a few years ago when a ship was raided for entering the US with millions of fake Pokemon cards. Which is basically when I found out how serious a crime it was.
Crystal the Glaceon yeer. They defer it
+Crystal the Glaceon Lol, ive heard about Walmart having fake Pokémon cards, well lucky me, i live in Sweden and i've never found a faking store here, well R.I.P Walmart
great video now i am going to check my cards to see if they are fakes
Where did you get your backround?I love Pokemon and yugio
I like the back picture. Did you draw that?
at a flea market i found a pack of legendary treasures that had a unicorn with wings as the pack art. i bought it hoping the cards would have the pokemon with 1000 plus hp in it. but nope fake cards with the pokemon having normal hp. at my local fair however i bought a LT pack with normal pack art that did have pokemon with higher than normal hp.
What if the back is lighter and there’s a misprint on the back it’s a mega blastoise EX 2014
I bought a bunch of HGSS cards on ebay. Turned out that half of them were fake. However, a little more than half were real with several decent rares and holo rares. But I am going to think twice about these cards.

but ex cards can look like that even though they have different shines is doesn't matter what about normal cards and reverse holo cards
what's your thoughts on the old school way of spotting a fake....I always went by putting the card up to the light..and if you can see through it .then its fake..
In my local store i buy pokemon boosters for around 4 dollars? i inspected everything it was all real no signs of being fake but just incase you think its real or not?
TrappedP0tato yeah 4 dollars is the retail price
TrappedP0tato you will get the code card with newer set to be 1000% sure use the code online if it works there you go
+TrappedP0tato Between $3-4 it is more than likely legit. I sell them for $3 to compete with the local stores. For contract reasons, I can't disclose how much I pay for them from the distribution center though.
+TrappedP0tato Older boosters are often cheaper than newer releases.
+The Ugly Barnacle Not always. The Holon EX packs can run $20 each and Base Set can run $20-25.
I'm kinda confused. I have Mega Charizard EX, and it has the same picture on the front as the fake ones you showed, but it has no shiny spirals, and the back looks the same as all my other Pokémon cards, but it says Mega Charizard EX in English, not Japanese at the top. Is it fake, or not?
where did you get that dope drawing in the background😍😍😍
but I have had pokemon cards that have the regular shading on the back but then are faded by the sun
It makes you wonder why the counterfeiters never bothered to fix the shading problem on the back of the fakes.
+The Ugly Barnacle ikr but thank god they didn't we would have no way to tell the difference!
Where did you get that mat I love yu gi oh and pokemon
The second ones are not cut properly if u see the second charizard its cut is to deep in
for some cards, on the back, the blue rim has one side wider than the other.
it's visible in this video actually
why is the Mega sign English on the Charizard secret rare that you have
I got Quite a few of the ones with the "spiral holographic effect" too. when I find a fake pokemon card like those i toss it in a bin
I have the Mcharizard ex but it doesn't have that shine. Is it real or false? Please answer me
On the Japanese cards the Mega Evolve writing is different than the American version.
Also some fakes are see through. Not sure if they are now a days

Informative; thanks for this! Looking forward to your starting TH-cam video.
The Exeggutor evolved from Voltorb XD
1:43 the Real one is In a case😨
my card has a tiny black speck on the red part of the pokeball of the back. It doesn't have anything else that look fake, though.
I hate fakes, but I think they're OK to use if they don't affect the gameplay, aren't being sold to people who don't want them, etc.
actually there was dollar packs in dollar tree but they only had three cards
You gonna do one on How to train your dragon too? Just saying 🤣
Please someone reply Really fast PLZZ!! Another way to tell if its fake is by look a the aide at the pokemon and check if theirs a black line

4:50 WHA???? WHAT ABOUT DOLLAR STORE PACKS?????
Baby Jordan Pokemon packs are not a dollar actually $4 to $5 for a pack
you can also tell if you compare the edges so how to prove its true so flip to the back where it sais pokemon so at the edges the fake cards has a lighter blue the real have a dark🙂
sometimes if u had the card for a long time the whole card fades
just to let everyone know, where i live there are lagit 1$ booster packs, they just have 3 cards though, so if you see that, the probably are lagit
Legit or not, you didn't tell us where you live
One way to tell if there fake is that if they are not glossy like a normal ex card
I went 2 & 5 $ some reason the 5 $ tins are real card and the 15 $ tin has less cards then 3 five $ tins but the 15$ tin has fakes

Dylan=Pokemon very true!!
JordanJapanNintendoFan✪ Phew, I thought mine were fake because the shading on the back looked a little darker than the real one on the screen. I guess its just my lighting....

+Dylan=Pokemon And sometimes they sell cards in Theme-deck ways but not so fgt or BANG AWAY
