I knew Guinea Pig was a food staple in Peru(price is also determined by size, age, and colour) 😥 But the fried sea horse should be internationally illegal,, they are one of the slowest moving fish(hard if not impossible for them to escape) and aren't most species of Sea Horse endangered??

Frying pig's ear and intestines are very common in the Philippines. The pig's ear that is being chopped in small pieces and fried them is called " SISIG" and the pig's intestine that is being chopped and fried is called " CHICHARONG BULAKLAK". It tastes good, you should try some.

Most of these didn't surprise me except for the insects and the seahorses @9:55 I used to eat dirt as a kid. I think it's a phenomenon where a lot of children would eat dirt because they craved the minerals

I’m kind of proud of myself for being able to say that I’ve tried most of these except the fried rat and guinea pig 😂 Fun fact. My Grandmother actually has her own home made donut recipe that has been in the family for years, when I was a kid I actually had her put Kool-aid in them. So I didn’t think that one was weird at all😅

Talking about fried foods... I have some vegan family and wasn't sure what I could fix them over the holidays for snacks. So, I experimented. I found that rice flour, cyanine pepper, potato starch (from boiling potatoes for something else) make a great batter for carrots, zucchini, and other vegetables & fruits. That I usually use sunflower oil in deep frying made the vegan member of the family very happy as well as the rest of the family who demolished all my party snacks! I figured that if this helps anyone it's worth mentioning.

I love pig ear since it is a good source of collagen. But I prefer grilled, not fried. I also eat chicken feet which is also a source of collagen.
