- Today, the 17th of May 2024, Billie Eilish released her third studio album; Hit Me Hard and Soft. With songs like; 'Skinny', 'Lunch', 'Birds of a Feather', 'Wildflower', 'L' Amour de la Vie', 'The Diner' and 'Blue'. How does this compare to her other albums and what does this record sound like?
For this video I review the exclusive seablue vinyl release.

In the video I talk about the vinyl being really dirty, quite frankly the dirtiest new vinyl
I have ever bought. After this review I cleaned the record and it still is a noisy vinyl. A lot of pops.
Sorry, but this album is what TTPD wished it could be as a breakup album. It's waaaay better. And it's amazing how it doesn't have any cussing (except for one shit) compared to TTPD. Finneas is a genius. With TTPD most of the songs there, sounds exactly the same. I'm not even a fan of Billie but this album is her best to date. Chihiro, Birds of a Feather, The Greatest, L'Amour De Ma Vie are my favorites.
I also think it’s a lot better than The Tortured Poets Department.
Girlfriend purchased hit me hard and soft Seagate pressing made in France 🇫🇷 purchased from her local independent music store its very nice
I like this guys attitude, you have my sub
Thank you! Good to have you on board!
Walmart has the french pressing for this album
Very good album. Did I miss something or did you not comment on the actual sound of the lp?
If the vinyl lp’s fidelity is no better or even worse than the stream, then I don’t see the point. Unless one just likes artwork and pretty vinyl.
The sound quality is not spectacular. Noisy vinyl even after cleaning
I am not very impressed by the sound to be honest. The vinyl is noisy.
Just listen to Spotify or CD. Hahaha.
Mike from the InGroove just posted a video review. He's not impressed, to but it lightly, by the vinyl pressing. He had a French copy.
This one isn’t good either…
I've just listened to it. I only collect CDs, so if I do get it, it will be on CD, so should sound perfect
I've heard that the eco (recycled) vinyl is terribly noisy. Can you confirm if this is the case?
I can not confirm that. I did not listen to noisy vinyl, but I did listen to very dirty vinyl. I just cleaned it, I guess a lot of the complaints come from a very dirty pressing (never experienced a new vinyl this dirty).
I gave it a cleaning, raised it’s volume and it is indeed vert noisy vinyl. Even after cleaned. Not a great pressing.
Thank you so much for checking and responding. Appreciated!
Get the limited edition Yellow Vinyl, I did and it looks so fine ❤
How does it sound?
It won’t sound good if you have a nice system and a trained ear. Unfortunately, all of these albums are pressed on recycled vinyl, and the technology is just not there to make it sound clean.
It’s not your pressing, it’s all of them. Unfortunately she decided to press this new album on recycled vinyl. I’m a big environmentalist and do what I can to create less waste but
recycled vinyl always sounds like garbage to me and it will keep me from picking this one up.
That is indeed rather a big problem with this pressing. I’m also all for recycling… but this one is hard to swallow.
It’s unfortunate. I love Billie and know she had good intention with this decision, but I can’t support it. I have both her other albums on vinyl, and they sound great. I’ve have a few eco vinyl albums in my collection and never play them. They pop, click and are generally really flat sounding. I also have to turn them up way louder to get the same levels, and that probably brings out more of the imperfections. Eco vinyl just doesn’t transmit sound well.
Save the planet, let's make 6 variations............... I got some King Gizzard on recycled vinyl and they are perfect. Probably the pressing plant had something to do as well.
The French pressing is also terrible. Great album, wonderful music, but absolute disaster of a product. Can't believe the mastering and pressing of a major album like this could possibly be so bad.
Can we just stop with this pressing. Listen to CD if you find it terrible.
@@emptylikebox Its becasue if you are buying a vinyl is because you are looking for a good sound experience. Its OK people complian about the product they (BE side) are selling.
I think I'll skip the vinyl and buy the CD instead.
I can very well imagine that choice!
Precisely why it’s happening imo

What do you mean?
@@top5records796 His channel is at major risk of being deleted thanks to TH-cam’s copyright policy heavily and unfairly targeting him
Brad Taste in Music is a music review channel who just announced that people are going after his channel for copyright. TH-cam’s copyright system is broken and allows companies to take action against channels even when they fall under fair use.
Why is the algorithm bombarding me with Billy's Eyelash?
I have no interest in her whatsoever, I'm not 15.
She released album of the year lol
wow you are so mature…
The algorithm knows you secretly want to listen to Billie Eilish. It’s time you embrase that feeling.
