These are the best video's ever! This board is not to be confused with a balancing and protection board. Anything wired in series need a balancing board especially when you have a high drain.

Thank you very much for worthful information about using charging module of used mobile batteries, We were looking for this type of vdo ,v can save environment by reusing these modules ,my question is how can we fix LED indicator to show battery is charging/auto off it will be useful to all your subscribers thanks
how can i look for a specific protection board for an old phone i have that i want to turn into using it powered on direct wall plug instead of it's battery, i know it's battery have the exact proper protection board but i want to keep it for later use as mobile phone again when needed. thanks for the good informative video .
Thank you China. Took me 30 seconds to fix a defective LED trouble light bought from local auto parts store. I can now see in the dark and charge my li ion battery.
I've been cautious about reusing Lithium batteries because I can't tell whether the board on a salvaged battery is just for over current protection or it includes a charge controller. I haven't been able to find datasheets for the chips I've seen. I've got a lot of battery setups from old high end bicycle accessories. That market seems to be less standardized for mass production. I need to figure out a way to safely test them and see if they are protected or not. I was already foolish enough to buy the little AliEx lithium charger modules that don't include discharge protection. I think I need a fireproof container before I'm going to play with these things a lot though. -Jake
Just try it out with a lab power supply. Adjust the current so it's about 1C. A cell doesn't suddenly explode when you got to 4.21V. If the charging didn't stop at 4.25V there is quite likely no over charge protection. Same with discharge. Connect a load (halogen bulbs are easy to get, they won't light at one cell, but that's ot their job here) and check if the battery gets disconnected before dipping below 2.5-3.0V. Unless the cell has been damaged before, there's nothing dangerous about it.
I sometimes use two 2.5 volt, 20 farad capacitors in series in place of the battery for testing. If my charging voltage is kept at 5 volts max, you can monitor the capacitors to see if they go above 4.2 volts.
If the phone battery has overdischarge, overcharge and short-circuit protection. So can we charge the phone battery directly with phone charger directly 🤔.
Can the chips on the BMS PCB be either reprogrammed or replaced? When one or 2 18650s are replaced, such as in a laptop or multi battery (pack), the chips sort of know the original cells are gone but new ones are installed. Great video! Thank you 🌹
The chips are probably dw01s they have no microcontroller core in them also no memory they just protect the battery no matter what they are basicly kinda like asics they are built for the aplication of protection and charging
Apparently no, since the only real con about Lithium-ion batteries is that they need a protection circuit, and this only applies to Lithium-ion batteries.
I would like you expert advise on using this small battery protection board in LIPO (Flat battery) to charge Li-Ion battery (cylinder)-- THis is my Confusion please help , thank you
They give you 10 copies of the same board. The price is the same for anything up to 100mm by 100mm, so you can potentially put several different designs in one gerber, but you get 10 copies of the exact same layout.
She has "Man Hands!" (Seinfeld) This channel uses a translator. There used to be a younger guy that did the voice over, but that changed several months ago. The dude that does these videos speaks English but because of his accent he has someone else do the voice over. It is not a computer doing the voice. Computer generated speaking has come a long way but it still can't replicate vocal inflection, pace variations, and word flow like a person can. -Jake ;)
i have li-ion 3.7v and i have this device and how i connect my usb cabble (i heve red and black wire) to battery module red to red and black to black? Just he made heat :(
With this many cells in series, you definitely need to use a Balance Charger. Otherwise some of the cells can be already overcharged/overdischarged while others are still at normal voltage.
using dedicated mosfets is a waste of resources. protection circuits should just be a feedback wire that you connect to the circuit you supply with the battery and use the feedback wire to turn on or off the low power driver stage of the circuit
Sorry, I don't understand you. At some point you'll always need to switch on/off the high power part, what would you use instead of dedicated mosfets? And don't think it is possible or a good idea to put them inside the IC.
She is getting better but she should stop referring to battery cells as "cans". no-one uses this terminology... there are so many self invented words and phrases on this channel, I could write a small book. For whatever reason, English is the defacto standard in the world for sharing information, so please folks, do this channel a gentle favor and help them get better. - Thanks!
People seldom go past reading the first sentence before opening their holster.. My 2nd sentence used niceties like "gentle favor" and "help them get better" - so no need for a quick-draw. interesting topic! I cant see many videos on youtube about it. so good job!
OK can we exchange different capacity possible
Thank You, that helpful info about circuit board for me, good work
Thank you for creating and sharing this useful information.

Very nice video and explanation. What component settings do I need for a lifepo4 battery?
That was great, questions answered, Thank you!
Best info on BSM
Is there a way to modify these boards so that they disconnect the battery at lets say 3v instead of 2.5V thus preserving the life of the cell better?
Are you good at micro soldering, if so then yes probably

thanks for the good informative video .
excuse me, at the DW01 circuit, what will happen if the value of R1 decreases or there is short on R1 ?
Very nice video, small circuit but it can do a lot, thanks
a very well made vid and excellent presentation
what are the bulbs you used to check the batteries?
Can I use these small units to make a 2S bms ?
Nice work congratulations.
Excellent video
Thanks a lot for explaining. And can you make video for BMS with SPI pins to communicate with user interface...
thanks a lot for this effort
3:31 maybe this is how to properly discharge 18650’s for storage in cold weather
PCB that attached with mobile phone battery can also protect against over charge ??? Or used only for Over load And SC Protection ??
nice explanation👍👍👍

Great Scott... on youtube, performs tests on charge boost protection circuits for li-ions. His techniques are clean.

Can I connect 2 battery in parallel on 1s BMS ?
How to fix LED in this circuit for showing full charge,,,like a tp4056 module...🙄🙏
can you do an in depth video about laptop batteries & the BMS? thank you
What if I connect the charger and load to the input of the protection board at the same time? Will the transistor open or close? Thanks for helping me
Nice voice and helpful info ...thanks alot. .

@@309electronics5 interesting... Thanks 🤓
How many battery do the protection board can protect?
Nice video bro 👌
I just wonder did we could direct charge battery from the 5v mobile adapter buy this board 🤔
I don't think, the best way is to buy a tp4056 module for both charging and discharging.
no, that is only a protection circuit, you need a regulating circuit.
@@slimfaidy but the mobile adapter doesn't already have a regulating circuit?
Hey!
Can you make a video of alkaline battery charging circuit?

You only do a demo in single cell charge and discharge application, why you do not do a demo for multiple battery cell circuits application in DW01?
can someone tell me what the NCT thing on the board is used for?
Hi, what do you think of failed BMS in laptops where the batteries are still good. And now they are being reused for power walls or electric bicycles
i need more info about the Protection boards for iPhone battery thanks
Thanks for the information
How to to fix the protection circuit on 17650 battery and power bank charging circuit working same thing

How to get protection circuit ?
Any suggestions on how to use mobile phone batteries in an electric bike project..... Plz lemme knw
It will not work....Too little power.
can i connect this board with 12 volt lithium cell battery
this module model code?
great info video! thankss
Only 2.0 $ / 10 pieces with of Any Size !!
X-TREME Diy nope only
E_404 can i ordered 10 different types of boards at once of one or two layers pcb for 2$ or i have to give same schematics for 10 price s ??
