Please subscribe to our friends over at @BamaBass! Who saw all of the Shaq Pond vlogs we did this year? If you didn't see them, I encourage you to check the videos and see Shaq's reaction! Links are in the descriptions.
I saw his video first this pound might make me stop watching. I have never said that before to a Chanel but having 2 pounds next to each other mess with my ocd. He built his Chanel on the 5 acorn pound. He did a great job at building a natural pound. He did not have large following before it. Now he is just being stupid spending stupid money and splitting his ecosystem up in a very man made controlling way. I don’t like pound liners they are unnatural. Not even have the same fish inhabit both ponds is just madness. why not have a natural shallow, rocky pool for spawning fish like the natural ponds that’s what drew me to it in the first place.
I love the bambass project so it's great to see your side of things, your channel looks really interesting so you can count me as your newest subscriber
Woohoo! A new project to invest in and in my state as well!! I can't wait to see the next installment. There's a motto of "Keep Alabama the Beautiful" and you are certainly doing that.
You might want to consider using pumice for water filtration and drainage depending on the turbidity values you're looking for. Also has an added benefit of absorbing nitrates.
This frustrates me why not just have it be one pound that pump system could draw from the 5 acre and still create a stream connecting you too. If left with out man it would become one pound anyway.
Videos like this are why so many environmental catastrophe liner ponds are built. People who don't understand how to read or work with the landscape, so they resort to the idiot proof liner method, that at best works for 25 years. This could also be called how to build a pond that doesn't have any benefit for the hydrology of the landscape, is a huge environmental catastrophe, and at best will only last 25 years before needing to be re-lined. If you want to learn how to create a natural pond, with natural materials, that will help prevent flood, drought, and fire, while restoring the water cycle, recharging aquifers, and will last for many lifetimes, then check out our Water Stories community and course.
I'm confused, pond wizard can't make a pond that holds water? I'm more interested in why the shaq pond failed. To be honest I'm not sure i would take that much advice from a pond guy that starts off saying he made a pond that won't hold water.
@@roosterpolk1918 I don't have the desire to watch a video of his failure to be honest. Pond wizard opened with a failure, doesn't explain said failure, make me doubt he's a pond wizard and consequently don't want to watch his videos. Most the way my mind works I guess.

Have you ever done geothermal in the bottom of a pond?

All headlines are true with this guy screw getting the story. He didn't build the failed pond, he rebuilt it.
