Oh my gosh, yes yes a million times YES! Social media these days - nothing is ever "enough". I find so much peace on yours and others' youtube channels. I'm not bombarded here with loud music and speed readers and "the hustle". It's like a runaway train over there.

What wise words. You are showing us that it is possible to do the thing you love, and with a bit of planning and forethought, it doesn’t become a chore and spoil your enjoyment of the job you so obviously love. 9:25

Amazing post Georgie, such sound advice and food for thought. I’ve been sitting on the fence dithering or doing too many jobs all at once. Time for a shake up and some planning for 2023. Thank you 😊

It's always good to hear your thoughts on your business and how things can be improved/changed, along with suggestions on how we need to look at our own operations. As soon as I can, I will be enrolling! Enjoy your bit of "down time" x

Great advice on focusing on one project at a time. Doing that has saved me from feeling overwhelmed and has reinforced my feeling of accomplishment. That feeling of accomplishing something each day, no matter how small, keeps me going. Eventually, everything essential gets done.

It's amazing how long the crab apples stay on the branches! I never knew apples could keep that long looking beautiful. Love them!

I moved onto a property zoned agricultural in July of this year, after my mom passed, with the intention of starting a flower farm. The first few months of preparing the land and building the infrastructure has been hard on my body as I am a one woman show. Next year will be my first year to sell flowers. This morning, I sat down to consider my business model and online presence. Though I didn't think about the word "enough," I did think about the baseline income that would make the work sustainable. This evening I sit down to watch other flower farmers and find your video. Thank you so much for the for concept of "enough."

That was interesting. I'm just looking at turning a piece of my garden into a cutting garden so I don't have to cut out of (and upset the look of) my tiny landscaped garden. That has been a decision I made after watching you and a few other channels. It helped me decide what are "enough" colours and types of flowers--to limit the amount of time I have to put in. You could've called this November garden and mind tour :)

Wonderful information!!! I can't wait to plant my willow cuttings that I have ordered for the spring. Do you mow your paths with a mower that captures the clippings?

Great advice.I think many see flwer farming as a lovely business that also is a hobby.,Scaling, like with most businesses, involves a lot of extra stress & risk (often associated with taking on bank loans, if you can get them nowadays!!).That is not a great balance and why many more people are coming to it really. Why leave coporate jobs to take on more stress.I'm with the 'quiet quitters' and why take on more stress if you are lucky enough to grow the business enough to cover your expenses and live a lovely life.I see how that can kind of defeat the point for those potentially career changing people. However, i do see flower farming as more of a trend especially lately, sustainability wise, which has finally caught on with the mainstream in my opinion. So naturally i believe some corporates will try to get in on the action sometime! However, that kind of defeats the point of the movement in my opinon, even though less co2 is being produced. You just have to find your personal happiness level and for many individuals it doesn't involve 'lots & lots of dough' and stress from the banks.

it's true that scaling up doesn't always make you happy - I would have ended up managing other people from behind a computer screen which wasn't the point at all! x

What is a posey? How that different from a bouquet? I’m in the US and the web didn’t answer the question for me. I love your channel.
