- Elephants and orangutans contribute to the survival of plants simply by
going about their daily lives. By consuming seeds, roaming around, and then
depositing those seeds in new areas, they help the plant to bloom in more
places.

Jackfruit are wonderfully delicious, and the seeds are safely edible. Roasted they taste much like chestnuts.
Never had them, probably because i live in a cold place

Do elephants sleep every day?
Only during the weekdays. On weekends, they party hard.
@@endoneswayou don't know science right?
Yes they do but not like us. They don’t sleep for long periods of time. They usually sleep for 15-30 minutes every couple of hours round the clock. Also they usually sleep standing upright. They only lay down if they feel very safe/secure. It takes a few minutes and a lot of effort to get all that weight up off the ground and moving so they prefer to be on their feet and napping that way they can be immediately mobile should some predator arrive.
The exception is babies. They often lay down to sleep for brief periods but always they will have their mom or their allomothers standing over or next to them guarding them. After a little bit of time the adults get nervous and worried about all that laying down and they will start touching the babies or trying to shake them to get them to awaken and stand back up.
They are truly amazing creatures. My favorite of all the animals!
