Ive travelled around the world and Bath was the most beautiful city I've ever seen. It's just stunning.

I was there 4 years ago, it's absolutely gorgeous!. Bath Abbey was amazing, also the roof spa (in this video) was amazing!... and I did take pics and video hehe... was so beautiful, all of it, can't wait to go again! I'm from Oregon, beautiful state here, but nothing here compares to the history and sites I've seen in the UK. I've been twice and can't wait to go back!
Additional tip - You can also take a National Express coach from Victoria bus station to Bath, which is a cheaper option. Takes about 2.25 hours to reach, and costs anywhere between 12 - 18 pounds. The first bus from Victoria is at 7 am and the last from Bath is at 8.15 pm.
That depends on if your time is sufficiently cheap... (178 minutes on train or 408 minutes on coach total travel time)

@@SuitcaseMonkey I was trying for the train but it was expensive, about 90 pounds for a return journey. Could be because I was pretty close to my trip when booking. Anyway if you leave by 7 am, you'll be there by 10.30. The last return bus is at 8.10, which gives you more than enough time to see Bath. Unless you plan to party there, in which case you should book a place.

Great video some brilliant tips. I’m visiting Bath soon and wondered why no one swims in the Roman baths. Basically the water was found to be polluted. It’s even dangerous to touch so I was shocked to see a lady dipping her hand in on your video. I’m looking forward the thermae baths!

The only place in Bath that does the traditional Bath bun is bakers of Bath on Twerton high street! Highly recommend

I'm so lucky to live so close to Bath so watching this felt like the equivalent of looking up your own house on Google Maps 😂It's such a beautiful city - my favourite shops have to be Vinegar Hill and French Grey. Bath Abbey is also stunning and has a great exhibition below ground. Please keep doing the UK city videos as they help me decide if I should make the trip or not!

1:47 any American visiting Bath MUST visit Ann Summers. It's a famous British shop offering exotic UK made clothing. Theres a section at the back offering ornaments and toys. Possibly more tailored to adults than families but a must-do nonetheless!

I live in Bath and think you did a great job of showing us off. I love living here and always recommend it as a great day trip, especially for Londoners. Best wishes on your travels. One day I will go to the new spa.
Especially for Londonders? People in the capital have much better things to do than look at your 1000 year old puddle and yellow everything buildings.
@@AA-rd3pr Now that's not true at all. From a Londoner's perspective, Bath is so much safer, prettier and generally just more visually coherent/atmospheric than most areas back home.
The only problems are the traffic and some of the less friendly locals (and honestly, that's the same almost everywhere)
@@gaildahlasMight not be safer and more atmospheric than London for people who are black. Locals are especially less friendly for reasons you might not be realising. So fuck Bath with its toffs and its weirdness.
I live in Bath as well its gone right down hill in the last 15 years used to be a lovely place but the council have let to many student blocks, HMOs and driving around bath is awful

Thank you so much. As a first-time traveler, I didn't have a clue about what I had to look for in the bath. I watched your video to know how to get around to all attractions in the bath while on my way to the bath and when I got down the train I knew where I have to go and what I have to do. Surprisingly all main tourist attractions are around the city only a walkable distance away. Could you please make a video of Stonehenge as well?

I'm a born and bred Bathonian and yes nice to visit the tourist areas but very different to live there like most places I guess.
Can you articulate this more, people should see places for what they are as a whole, everywhere must stand up to scrutiny.

A Smth I think towns and cities with a not very diverse population see no reason to be otherwise, more is the pity. People in these town and cities live in their own bubble.
@@johnorchin8567 Insular is the word. Brexit is certainly making certain people in the population more emboldened. But as I said should anyone speak about their own experiences they will be vilified or outright shunned for having an opinion. Very insular place with the most clicquey, untrustworthy individuals I have had the displeasure of spending time with.
