Thankfully all of us at John’s Gym lift at John’s personal home gym because he has everything we need to train. Commercial gyms do suck when you have to share the space because everyone is trying to grab whatever they can. Not blaming or shaming anyone who uses those gyms it just sucks when you can’t get in the work you need.
This gym isn't a commercial gym, but at times it feels like it. We are grateful for the space but feel like our passion and intensity is not well received at times. We are glad you see where we are coming from and that we aren't coming across as privileged. As a powerlifter, there are just some things you need to have to get a good lift in.
@@skellilifts2686 anyone who says you guys are “privileged” doesn’t understand our intensity. It’s ok to be upset that the space you use to better yourself and your powerlifting careers isn’t being respected in the same way you guys are. Keep crushing it guys! Hope you both recover from the injuries!
@@MikeBreezy94 We are glad that you get it. Its why we love WABDL comps. There is no federation that brings the intensity and comradery like WABDL. We appreciate that! Hope training has been going well for you.
That is the plan. I was just speaking figuratively, when I said, "deal with." I know this is not my gym. The gym is a community space where the goal is to be supportive and help each other. We had a great lift the other day because everyone was working together. Powerlifting is mostly mental, so the environment plays a big part of the lifting. I have been told by other gym members that I needed to move, I was in their way, and I did. This is just part of lifting. I know.

Buy your own gym then you won't have to 'deal with' anyone....privilege
