I was about to purchase a DE1 XL from decent until i found out there is no tea PF now. I’m a tea drinker as well as espresso which would have been great. Just saved myself 4K. What was the reason on discontinuing the TEA PF.
What’s the principle cause of some grounds being stuck in the portafilter even after a giant few bangs on the knock box? I have a lot of success with my Decent but frequently run into this, particularly with darker roasts.
Sounds like you are most likely overdosing your shots possible using short ratios. Nothing wrong with that especially with darker roasts. Easy hack! If you consistently experience this just run a few secs with the flush button. When the water starts turning more pale you will find the puck easier to knock out.

Yes we have new internal grouphead parts coming out soon, which also adjusts the headspace.
