The Earring is actually a PIN, to have on a jacket or sweater ;) And the rocks can be from a meteor or vulcano or just have some iron in them. Keep digging and good luck in your huntings!

I already found stuff last week. Just trash, but my garden is clean of metal now hehe If I get my camera to take ok videos I will make some, maybe just with pictures at first. I took two pictures of my first finds, it was awsome, even though it had no value. My plan is to try search the sea tomorrow, I live 20 meters from the sea, have to wait for low tide :) I will keep in touch if I find something, if only to have someone to tell ;) Now it is 3 at night here in Norway (I can't sleep) Have a good evening yourself

Your are up early Basia. The early bird catches the worm as they say. The beach is teaming with also sorts of metal objects,. You will strike it big yet.
Nadia, You might consider having someone putting a carbon fiber handle on your scoop if possible, or buying a scoop with a longer handle. It would be much less work for you. You would have very little if any added weight with that type of scoop. GL and HH
cool you never know :) I think how they tell if they were from space was how dense it is in iron like imagine a normal iron rock but 4 times bigger crush into something smaller but i'm no expert but would be cool you never know what could be found :)

Hi, my detector is Teknetics G2, not waterproof. Great for dirt and wet or dry sand, can put in in the water about 10-12 inches but can't get the battery pack wet.
Pauls POV Yes, I have been finding black "rocks" quite regularly on our beach mostly in eroded areas. These rocks come in on my detector at high range (78-82). I ground balance my machine to eliminate minerals so not sure what these chucks of debris are.
about the "black rocks" (I am not a rock specialist ) I remember reading somewhere when gold is in the ocean for a long time it gets a "black covering" on it. the way the one sparkled.. that might be a mineral deposit. ( might need to crush it to a fine powder and "pan it out" like a gold miner) research this on google ?? just a suggestion great videos :)
Gorgeous sunrise & the sound of the waves crashing in what more could you ask for. don't you just hate those annoying pull tabs, people should take all their rubbish with them even the pull tab. that is a really nice earring. if only you found 2 of them :)
Yes finding pull tabs is not good. yesterday i see a horrible video on a poor turtle that was posted on Face Book, sadly it had a plastic Straw stuck up it's nose, it was pulled up on board a boat & they had to pain stakenly remove the plastic straw. my heart break seeing this video. blood was running down. is why we should always take away all of our rubbish with us from the beach & the ocean. already too many sea animals are being caught up & killed because of our negligence.

Are those rocks heavy that you find ? I rember watching a show and the guys hunted meteores looked like that :)

What part of Outer banks can metal detect or what part can u not ?
I know you can't detect in Hatteras and areas designated as National Seashore.

if all people watch this video they might think twice about tossing their rubbish over board or just on the beach.
The pin, that you thought it was an earing, is one of the Pokemon gym badges. collect all of them and you can go to Pokemon league. XD
