The federal ministry that actually was seriously into transportation is a shadow of its former self. My dad remembers them, he's in his 80s.

They then pointed out to him that to build his airport in Jasper he would have to knock down a mountain or two and the parks department would probably say no since Jasper is in a National Park. The railroad kept running........

We need to stop letting Ottawa collect our tax. We should set up our own Revenue Alberta and collect the tax here, and then submit the portion we feel the federal government has earned for the services they have provided.

@@egSmith-sp9gl I own companies, the province of Alberta should set up the agency to collect taxes within Alberta, both the provincial tax, but also the amount for the Federal government. We could then remit the portion upstream that we determine appropriate for the services provided. The current system allows a corrupt federal government to compel provinces.
