      I use paper plus kitchen towels and dish cloths. (They need to be packed anyways)
      (You could also save the dish box's to reuse them lol)

      Yep!! I've done that for years. More cushion (and cheaper) than paper and less boxes. Two birds, one stone!

    International Military mover here. 8 pieces crumpled on the bottom for starters ( you can use bumpers if you want ) i am in agreement 4 plates at a time. glasses 3 pieces of paper. glasses should be set straight up / bowls on their side and doubled up and packed. not using enough paper in this video for items imo. you want to end with however many sheets you started the bottom with so 8 pieces of crumpled on top aswel. dry foods and spices in a smaller box thats correct. Heavy items first finishing off with lighter items on top. I would say this is a fair and correct video but I would recommend writing on the outside of the box at least three items that are in it so you arent just handling mystery boxes when you are unpacking them again. example: (KIT) -plates -bowls -mugs -utensils. If you do have movers coming to handle your boxes they can read whats in it and bring it to the respective rooms. We are pressed to practice legible handwriting.
    There are a very few times where I have to go do a move where the customers already have the kitchen prepacked- The company was in the habit of writing (PBO) Packed By Owner or (OD) Owner Dissasembled. this is pertaining to the trust that the client knows what hes doing and has packed his boxes as to his own wishes. Same with disassembling certain household items if the owner has done this he is responsible for parts. If you ever have a move make sure that they are using a parts box this will contain all screws and necessary nuts and bolts and to what they belong to.
    Screws box should be #1 on the inventory list always. should be loaded in the first crate always along with Alcohol.
    Its funny because after work i'll go to a chippy shop and they use the exact same kind of paper to wrap food in. :) Happy moving and please provide coffee for movers- we love that.

    Advice I can also give... put paper in the glass. So if it does break form is kept and don’t have a glass shaped paper glass bomb when opening.

    "Make sure you use plenty of paper because FUCK TREES"

    • @Xoletta
      @Xoletta ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That kind of paper is probably recycled from old newspapers. Of course, it would be better to just directly use the old newspapers in the first place.

      .....you mean you don't remember Them telling us to switch from paper bags to plastic to "save the trees"? Paper will decompose, plastic won't.

    I guess you could put some clothes in the bottom of the box too
    I say small boxes for dishes easy to carry.

      The box that he used is for when you have a moving crew or dolly. Double thick cardboard and will typically hold a full set of dishes and then some. I would personally put dish towels or lighter weight items in the top of the box instead of utensils. Otherwise good info.

    I'm moving 30 minutes away from current residence. This is too much. I'm going to pack some kitchen items into bins. Transport them in my car. I've saved plenty of newspaper already. The dishes have to be washed before I put them away so that's my hack.

    That’s a waste of paper and time, place thin coats, sweaters or towels. Add clothes in between the dishes. Wrap in clothes. This saves you from packing clothes in another box or container. Tablecloths, napkins, sheets, curtains all will work.

      @@saraateya1449 Newspaper is fine if you only have a few things, otherwise it is incredibly time consuming and dirty. If you move often you can reuse some packing paper.
