Here's another tip for dailies: Helpful mesmers. Many dailies have a jumping puzzle or minidungeon in the PVE section. For most of these, one or more mesmers will help out by creating portals which allow you to travel directly to the end of the puzzle/dungeon. These mesmers are most often present soon after the new day begins (currently 7pm EST), and are tagged so you can see them on the map. When you get there, if you see a tagged player jumping up and down, she is announcing that a portal will be there in a moment. Be sure to thank these selfless players, some of the great unsung heroes of the GW2 community!
I do this too, but be careful about rezzing totally dead players. If the player is afk (away from keyboard), rezzing them might just mean they will get killed again, damaging another piece of their armor. I usually ask before rezzing a totally dead player if there are enemies about.
@@quiquaequod322 it's maybe a bit late to still respond but you can just repair armor without any cost right? So why would you be careful about damaging equipment?

I just couldn’t get into this game because of the controls but then I recently found out that there is an action camera. This has been a huge game changer. Now I’m really getting into the game.

Like others have mentioned, I had no clue about the Wiki command. If this is helpful, you can create a multi-use "Bag Opener" character (Between level 49-53), to open champion bags that provides T4 loot when salvaged; And use them as PvP characters for daily completion and bonus PvP rewards.
I have been playing for little over a year now, but this is the first time I heard of dodge jumping hahaha, thanks for the useful and great guide Kyosika:)!! Whenerver I'm helping a new player usually after a week or so they say that they don't know what to do with all the crafting materials in their inventory, so I tell them there's a handy feature called "deposit all (crafting) materials" and their storage problem is gone:D! (When I began it also took me a while to figure that out haha)

I forget if you had it in a previouse video (i thought I might have seen it) but SYNERGY between attributes, traits, weapons, utility skills, sigils and runes. When you have traits that support some or all skills and gameplay styles you have a very effective build. Its both good and bad that players have the freedom to have the most craptastic build where nothing is helping anything or anyone else out. Also, when you are in group content I would suggest picking traits that favor group play and give your group bonuses.
Hahahahahaha, yeah! He talked about it recently if I'm correct. I thought he would disagree with me there. I think they are harder to get if you are a casual, non-pvp player. However, I play PvP from time to time and for a long period of time so I got plenty!
play pvp and / or WvW and after a while you will have hundreds or even thousands .. I have like 1400+ and it's not as if i'm not trying to use them up .. it got to the point where they are actually annoying me xD

I started playing last week and did a lot of PvP because I wanted to be sure where I wanna spend my skill points...somehow ended up getting really rich and decked out with powerful gear. My friends barely got 30 silver while I've got more gold than I can spend at my level. (My friends are nice people, they wanna get better at the game before doing PvP as to not inconvenience other players...while I jumped straight into ranked and spent 3 minutes just checking out my skills and exploring the map before someone found me and killed me.)
Useful information. Thus far I have been concentrating only on map-completion (Not really for the rewards - it just seems to be my nature), but nothing here interferes with that. And rezzing downed players just seems to be the right thing to do. They rez me when fighting "World-Bosses", so it seems only fair...
I started doing daily fractals with a group of guys and they had been playing for a few years..had multiple toons..and didn't know about dailies..they knew about daily fractals..but not NORMAL DAILIES...like this is mind blowing xD
I agree dailies are nice, but since I don't pvp I don't get as much out of it, or as much gold been getting about 5 gold a day give or take a couple gold or so. Plus I'm still at the salvage everything stage. And, didn't know about the dodge jumping.
Since a few updates ago. You can only do it out of combat though. So, combat-wise there is not much of a change. However, it is super chill to swap from staff to scepter real quick ;)

Thank you for the tip. Is it possible for you to cover the RFI/Withdraw + Jump in the future? When I perform this either the RFI/Withdraw triggers by the end of the jump or the jump doesn't happen. That wiki command is mindblowing, btw.
@@Kyosika It's like the dodge+jump shown on the video but instead of pressing "V" you use Roll For Initiative, Withdraw or Riposting Shadows (for Revs). I reckon that these skills cover more ground than the average dodge.
I think that is completely possible! I think you can reach level 80 before you have reached level 80 areas yet. You get a ton of XP for doing all those things!
Exotic gear is what you need at the very least in lvl 80 areas (though Ascended is slightly better). Metabattle.com has a big list of builds categorized by game type and profession. Cheers!
Berseker armor is pure damage and is used in end-game content. However, while you are leveling I suggest using gear with Vitality (health) and toughness (defense).
I knew about the jump-roll since the first days I started playing Gw2 but I never was able to do it because it doesn't work for me. I don't know what's the problem but its imposible to do

@@FernandoPerez-zx2vz you want a slight advance on the jump. It's more of a press jump and then dodge. But as one motion. Essentially you need to dodge as the jump begins but before your character has left the ground. It's a tiny window but one that can be consistently hit with practice

Trying to come back to this game again since this lockdown is still ongoing . Am totally lost right now, i have an elementalist that i forgot how to play with, so i made a new character, a warrior which is still lvl 21 an i see that this dude is so weak, can u suggest a nice build for pve/world boss , i like playing with hammer, maybe its not THE most effective , also i do not own any DLC. Way too many people at a WB event will just autohit and won't bother to dodge. They just let other people rez them rather than learning how to play and stay alive. I'll rez someone like that once, but if I see them continuing to do it - especially at an event like Golem II where it's SO easy to stay alive, I won't help them.
Is there a way to move faster? I'm a nord guardian and I move like a tortuous, it makes the game less enjoyable when you take forever to get anywhere. I gotta spam my "retreat" ability to get 33% movement speed but even then other players come running past me and the ability has a cooldown so I'm stuck for about 15 seconds in real slowmo
With the Path of Fire expansion you can get a mount early in the story. That should help speed you up. For now, your only buff to move faster is Swiftness. Consider using a staff and use Symbol of Swiftness to keep buffing yourself constantly
Correct! The max level is 80! When you reach level 80 and have the expansions you will gain mastery levels. These mastery levels are mount mastery, gliding and other map perks. So once you reach level 80, the normal levelling bar gets replaced by the bar you mention :)

Map completion is seriously op. I wonder if you can get from 1 to 80 just completing map with boosts. I feel like its likley possible

New player here. wanted to know what class is at 8:19. Looks like a warrior but no other warrior vids show him transforming like that.
