Thank you for watching this video! Would mean a lot if you subscribed to this channel, and liked the video. If you are interested in endurance racing, trust me this is the channel to come to. Thanks for your support, have a great day and enjoy the racing! - กีฬา
Wec and IMSA are becoming more interesting even I think than formula 1. Can’t wait to see next season.
They've been more interesting than F1, especially IMSA.
Hope they will add a couple of races, so maybe we will be able to see at least a race per continent
Kyalami is reportedly in the works. I hope that WEC will get a race at Bathurst or the Bend soon. And hopefully the WEC-IMSA crossover will come back. Perhaps at COTA.
I watch every motorsport ❤ so I get everything
@@jacksonbarinowski3966hmm, the seasons from 2018 to 2023 in wec have not been that interesting in the lmp1 and hipercar categories having only toyota as a manufacturer
I am very excited to see how next year unfolds with these packed grids. One added bonus that I hope happens is the Stang and Vette make their way to the GT300 class of Super GT mostly because I want to see what kind of crazy cool designs they will get.
Super GT will always deliver on just awesome looking liveries
Great vid! Excited for all of the variety in the WEC next year! One small thing, 2022 is when GTLM became GTD Pro and adopted GT3 rules. GTD has been full-GT3 since 2016
Thanks for the info! Glad you enjoyed the video.
The pinacle of GT3 racing though is not IMSA or WEC. It is with SRO (Spa 24, GT WC Europe), the Nuburging 24 hours, and DTM. All feature full pro drivers in GT3 and they are overall winners in those races.
GTLM never became anything, it was straight replaced by GTD Pro
@@FormulaJonah fia wec not making video about lmgt3 explain
Thanks for this
Another great video. Love your work
Great video with lot of details. Thanks a lot
Great video!!
i was really pissed and sad that gte is being axed and the rsr retired. but I can't wait to next year and this much competition. Hopefully the gt3s will be further upgraded with time to close up to gtes
Great vid! Thanks.
Awesome video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for your information! I've been focusing on LMH class in WEC, but I got excited about the new LMGT3 category! The race is going to be really exciting.
Good work!
Thank you so much for these videos, best creator explaining things simply and easily 🙌🏻
You're very welcome! This means a lot to hear. Thank you!
i like the LMGT3 class
I like the LMGT3 class too
I too like the LMGT3 class
Man what a stacked lineup
Indeed!
Great Video thanks
Fantastic video !
Thank you very much!
Audi just being stupid to miss out on that for F1...
They have Porsche and Lamborghini to represent VW brands.
Seen some vids of the new Mustang GT3 being tested and that thing looks and sounds like a BEAST! Can't wait to see it live on the Imola circuit in April.
My favourite GT manufacturer is BMW, but I'm also especially hyped for the new Ford
Sub’d and thank you.
Awesome!! Welcome to the channel, hope you enjoy the videos!
This is great for tye sport, cannt wait to see these cars on track
I am excited to see the GT3 cars coming to the World Endurance Championship and we'll see how it goes. It definitely brings more manufacturers and car models into the picture and having followed in recent years, both the GTD Pro and GTD classes in IMSA as well as the GT3 side of SRO competition, I understand the popularity of the GT3 platform as it is, currently. It ought to bring a lot to the table for the World Endurance Championship having Hypercar and GT3 racing in each event.
This will be epic for motorsports fans.
It's going to be so awesome to see these going around Le Mans.
For sure!
Can't wait for the new season. As long as everyone plays nice this should be some proper racing
Thanks for making this video, this stuff gets really confusing for me
Very much looking forward to the Mustang. Hopefully it comes to iRacing, too! RIP Audi.
endurance racing for next year is about to be NEXT LEVEL CRAZY. i cant wait for the new hypercars and that mustang gt3 (and they'll be more in 2025)
Pretty exciting…
Very exciting, this will also impact the sim game a lot of manufacture will join the grids 🔥🔥
What happend to pescarolo sport ? Are they still going to go in hypercar ??
I'm gonna miss merc, let's hope they Show up at le mans but i don't think so
Feel like I died and went to heaven!! So much competition - from so many teams!! And this doesn't even touch FANATAC or regional/national series and the Spa and Nurburgring events -- Yikes!! And those of us who race these cars in 1/32 scale are having a hell of a time keeping up!! thanks for the great info!
Super excited for the new GT3 classes in IMSA and WEC. I'm also excited to see Pratt and Miller with their own race team! With ford coming into the mix and the Aston Martins were always fast. Can't wait!!!!
Hopefully there is a Game coming for these beats 😁
Can you do a "beginners guide to Wec" video. Where you go through recent history. All of the teams. Distant history. Most successful team etc.
Im excited for the new Aston and i saw a Picture of an AMG EVO2 aswell, will this be racing in 2024 or 25?
Also i am looking forward to the Mustang! I just love big V8 Front Enginge Cars!
And a Lexus in WEC from Akkodis is aswell something i wanna see :)
Overall seems to be great!
Yes
I’m excited for the GT motor sports, especially with the Mustang, Corvette & Lamborghini.
Anyone know where I can watch it ?
You know, I was feeling unsure about the the GT3 cars coming in to the WEC. But after watching your video I’m now looking forward to seeing how will they perform!
Especially that new Mustang… I have seen other videos about it and wow! And also it would be interesting to see the McLaren and Lexus to see how will they handle the WEC. 👍
Good to see more Corvettes in GT3
Thanks FJ, I hope Audi realise what they’re missing out on….
Definitely agree! Sad to not see Audi here 😞
Same with Merc in WEC
I was really surprised to not see audi in either plus no merc in wec! With the explosion of the hypercar class you'd think any and all manufacturers would want to hop onboard.
They need to make the budget work for their F1 program
Where do I watch isma racing without cable???
oh, only two 911's on the wec grid next year
Spirit of Le Mans Is back, with that many new manufacturers , in the line up
They all realize they must make investments in Brand building... The Automotive EV future, is going to be even more competitive. "Brand/Model equity" is going to become the most important competitive sales advantage. More than ever before!
I like that Mclaren is going to have two cars on the grid.
The brand has been needing some attention in the USA.
Awesome to see a mustang compete
golden age number 4
All I have to say is it’s about time lol
Great video. I hope there will be a sponsor prohibition for Red Bull. This clan shouldn't infect WEC/IMSA.
They are already there.
4:26 this means Grello at LeMans
Can't wait to see the Mustangs, but GT racing is King for me.
Really surprised noone's running the Mercs in WEC.
So Max VER is testing the Mustang GT3 or something else?
Wec created a beast, with lmdh and lmgt3 category, d*mm 2024's lemans will be biggest one, cars awesome, classes awesome, callendar not bad,
Forza ragazzi 🇮🇹🏆
About time, many manufactures didnt want to compete against "certain brands" building one off GTLM and GT1 cars. Level the playing field by specing a class vehicle concept. Perfect, now bring what you sell and see how it compares to your peers.
Aston Martin is bringing in a brand new GT3 version of the Vantage.
So who's who in WEC? We had the AM/PRO division with the GTE rules. Did AM teams also died with the GTEs?
No TRG for IMSA?
WEC 2024 season will be awesome.
Wow no mercedes or acura in the wec next year? That's surprising. I was also expecting audi to show up in either wec or imsa. I wonder why the manufacturer lineup is more limited with the wec? You'd think they'd have the space to accommodate the same as imsa now that the lmp2 class is no more.
It's because Audi cancelled all of their customer racing programs in order to make enough budget for the F1 program
plus audi has killed the r8 as an actual road car
Acura/Honda looking at 2025 but seem to be basing it on whether anyone is able to beat Toyota/LMDh can compete fairly with LMH, I guess next year will answer that
Remember there are no lmp2
Amazing! Endurance Racing is here to restore Motorsports racing for good 💪💪💪… F1 is dead to me 😅
why amg gt3 is not taking part in WEC?
What's happening to the WeatherTech Mercedes??
I wonder if at Daytona is going to be the WeatherTech Ford Mustang now.
Weird that AMG is racing IMSA but not WEC
When does the season start and where can I watch it?
It starts the first week of March in Qatar. One of the ways to watch it, is through the WEC app
@@FormulaJonah tysm
No problem!
Mercedes is missing out on the WEC entry?
What fascinated me is the fact that Lexus use a chassis from 2015
So hyped to watch Ford come back into the international racing world
Fantastic, it will be fun racing, not like the boring F1. And I predict the Z06 will beat the Mustang.
Forza Ferrari!!!!!!
I’m really looking forward to seeing what Ford will do in 2024 and beyond with their GT3 Mustang.
i kinda miss an audi r8 lms here
i find it kind of sad that pfaff is moving from porsche to mclaren, other than rexy, the plaid porsche was one of my favorite porsche liveries
they need to merge these series have the daytona 24h and sebring 12h in the wec season and keep it in imsa aswell. basically the same now
How is that supposed to work? The Daytona 24 has place for 60 cars, IMSA has like 57 cars in the endurance cup, WEC has a 37 car grid. I doubt 94 cars around Daytona would work.
@@Maenfy have the normal imsa and wec grid without the extra entries
@@darcedis7622 Those are the normal entries.
Take a shot every time u hear "gt3"
Cant wait for these 2 series to merge, it has to happen eventually
How would that work? IMSA has 10 races a year in the US & Canada while WEC is all over the world and the dates clash, how would you merge those series without pissing people off? Many teams also couldn't travel all over the world but can afford to race in the US.
It can't happen, IMSA is owned and sanctioned by NASCAR. While WEC is sanctioned by FIA which are 2 different entities.
@@Maenfy I see it being a joint venture where some races are axed for both IMSA and WEC in order to avoid date clashes while keeping a reasonable amount of races.
@@Lego_Huracan_SuperTrofeo Create a new championship where both the FIA and NASCAR have a 50/50 stake.
@@notliquid1448 Well I doubt the US fans would like less races same for WEC. No idea why we need 1 championship when we can have 2 to be honest.
So Valentino Rossi Will be driving a Lamborghini next year? Hell yeah 🤛
he's driving for bmw though, which he is at the moment
Do you think Mercedes is still scared to come back to Le Mans 😂
They need to grow some balls first before making a comeback to Le Mans lol
feels like other than f1 every other motorsport is getting more and more exciting 😂
Did I understand that correctly that McLaren will not use the 720 GT3 EVO and Porsche won't use the 911 GT3 (992)? Also with the Mercedes.... Are they all not using the newest cars? If so, why is that?
McLaren, Porsche, and Mercedes will be using these cars for 2024:
McLaren -> 720S GT3 EVO
Porsche -> 911 GT3 R
Mercedes -> AMG GT3
These GT3 entries should be the latest models from each manufacturer. The only one that hasn’t brought their newest car, is Lexus. They use the RC F GT3 that raced in IMSA last season.
2024 could become the most exciting season of WEC so far thanks to prototype and GT top class being fully packed with so many professional manufacturer teams.
Edit: inb4 it could become a big shit show because half of the teams will cry out loud about BoP stuff.
Damn no Mercedes in WEC
Where's Audi though?
Been going to the 24 at Daytona since 1973. Stopped going during those ugly cars in DP Grand Am series. Started going again in 2015 and haven’t missed a race ( except for 2021 Covid pandemic). Since. I will say in 2024 the Daytona race will be the best race experience ever. Glad they did away with GMP 3 cars and filled the grid with GTP and GT3 cars. Should provide a better race experience for us fans. Got our tickets and infield car camping pass for this year at Daytona. Hope the weather is warm and no rain. One year they red Flaged the end of the race because of the heavy rain downpour. That’s only happened once to my knowledge.
What happened to Audi
F1
No Mercedes Amg 😢
Wouldn’t it be Chevrolet?
Technically yes, but the WEC is labeling it as Corvette, so that’s why I call it Corvette. Otherwise yes, I would call it Chevy
I Wish there were no rules about BoP and to see which manufacturer will build the strongest car. I mean to let everyone build what they want without trying to hide it's advantages and without getting penalized by a BoP. Let automakers make whatever displacement engine they want, whatever boost pressure they want, whatever aerodynamics they want, and so on. Like the Porsche 919 Evo but homologated for racing.
That would be counterintuitive as the benefits of both gt3 and hypercar is a lower cost compared to
F1.
Shame that Audi and Mercedes won't return to Le Mans.
Its sad to see that all the great german teams arent in wec. I mean dtm is maybe the most prestige one but its not really international. And vln is great with all the diffrent classes but same problem. Just only german. And it seems the great german teams doesnt show interest for the international events. The only i spotted in the list is the goat team manthey of the nurburgring. I wish that the german tracks and teams would be more international. The nurburgring could have so much more prestige when the 24h race wouls be more international. We have only 2 times in the history a non german team. One from auatria and one from belgium ...
Well everyone can race at the Nürburgring so it is international in that sense but the Nürburgring is such a unique track for setup and drivers that basically only Germans know the in and outs. I don't really see how that could change to be honest.
@@Maenfy ye i know. But obviously i spoke about races. Not the sunday driving with the private Car. And one Other Thing could be the Nordschleife permit. Thats Something No Other Track has. I know that wont Change but ITs still sad. Like ITs sad the wec WRC and Formula1 has a Video Game but neither the DTM or vln. WE have ACC with the Focus in GT3 but a Game with licenses of drivers and Teams of these Cups where you Play the Cups would be incredible.
No Audi😭😭
Isnt audi going to race at the wec?
Sainteloc wants to but it doesn't look like they will get a spot.
@@Maenfy but they were racing in portimao with the other teams
@@alextoriz3108 In what series? Definitly not WEC or ELMS.
@@Maenfy wec, i saw it in Instagram idk If I could share the link
@@alextoriz3108So it wasnt a race, just tyre tests as WEC and ELMS are going to be using new Goodyear tyres for GT3s next year. Also while they were there it doesnt mean they are going to be in WEC, they could be joining ELMS next year. The deadline for entries in tomorrow, 20th November and they probably have entered but with the 9 manufacturer spaces, 5 of which are already filled (Corvette, Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and BMW) and 4 very strong bids from Aston (long time GTE manufacturer), Ford (literally got announced at Le Mans, a bit rude to not allow them to race), Lexus (like Corvette under the same comany as Toyota so Hypercar priority) and McLaren (with United Autosport one of the top LMP2 teams good to keep them in the sport), it is unlikely they will be able to get on the WEC.
Really bad no audi nor amg in lmgt3 class...
bro ditch formula from yo name and create consistent wec and imsa contents, everyone needs that.
I do create consistent WEC and IMSA content. While I am considering it, my channels name is very recognizable with the name Formula Jonah. Among other factors, formula still relates to endurance racing, as “formula” can mean category.
From what I have seen so far. The Cadillac is the best sounding car at Daytona in 2023. 2024 it again will sound the best followed by the Mustang GT3. The C8 Z06 just doesn’t sound that great because they limit the RPMs to 7000. I wish Chevy would ditch the FPC and follow Cadillac engine specs with less HP of course. Well that’s my take on things. Oh and ford ditched their FPC engine after one year of racing it. Vibration issues caused to many engine rebuilds in a season. Why Chevy keeps pushing that FPC hype is beyond me. Marketing ploy that isn’t fun to listen to on the track. Ditch it Laura.
