- Fünf junge Männer aus Irland, eine Mischung aus Indie-Rock und Post-Punk. Fontaines D.C. sorgen für mächtig Furore und gelten als eine der größten neuen Punk-Hoffnungen. Von der ersten Sekunde an klingt die Band wie fünf ungestüme junge Burschen, die endlich ein Ventil für ihren ganzen angestauten Frust gefunden haben. Schrabbelige Gitarren und authentische, urbane Texte sind ihr Schlüssel. Sie ermutigen sich stets gegenseitig dazu, jeder der zu sein, der er gerne sein möchte und spiegeln eben genau das in ihrer Musik wider. Manchmal kann es doch so simpel sein.
Wenn Fontaines D.C. auf der Bühne stehen bedeutet das auf jeden Fall eins: Ausnahmezustand! Wer hier die Fassung bewahrt, dem ist auch nicht mehr zu helfen. Am liebsten möchte man nämlich die ganze Zeit nur noch tanzen als gäb’s kein Morgen mehr! - เพลง

I am now 61 years old and i am very happy that the seller from my recordstore let me hear the album skinty fia. When i hear the first tones i becomes goose bumps all over the places.
I bought immidiatly 3 vinyl albums. And now every day of the year i listen to vinyl from the best band in the world. Fontaines dc are the oxygen for this grandfather from Holland.
I'm 63 and love this band.They are so different to most bands. Rock on lads.!!!.

i think some of it is the audio of the video that is somehow messed up with other mics picking up the natural echo of grians voice through the PA onto the festival grounds... you can hear it on the drumsticks aswell at 23:50... but the echo on I Love You sounds like an intended effect... it's just all mixed poorly

I tell you what is weird. Having watched this gig a couple of times, the bit I would show my friends who aren't into Fountaines would be 24:00 minutes in. What number does he have on his back? * X-files theme*
Genuinely, if people just listen to that song all the way through, remember it's in Berlin not Ireland. Incredible.
