Received my 2 and 1 today. Installed front spacers in about 4 hours. (Very much a TH-cam mechanic here). A few notes I learned to share with others. 1. You HAVE to have both wheels up and off. You cannot do one side at a time due to needing to move the sway bar down. It is referenced in the vid but wasn’t clear to me. You’ll need 2 jacks or Jack stands and a Jack if you’re a home mechanic. 2. Getting the tie rods out is more difficult than it looks. I hate to beat it with a sledge. I’m the process I damaged the castle nuts and had to replace. Castle nuts spun while tightening so I had to use a pry bar and finagle a bit. All back together. If I can do it with some basic tools / big socket set…anyone can probably. Ready to tackle the back tomorrow! Thank you for the vid. It was great help.
I have scoured the internet about level kits/lift kits like this. What I have found is needle bearing issues and alignment issues. Throwing a set of 5100’s in the front stock coils will cost you the same here and produce better drive manners and level a stock Tacoma.
@@eli25jk70 I’m about 4000 miles since the install. Impossible to eyeball it but I’ve been watching the tire wear / steering wheel pull. Dead straight and nice even wear. EVERYONE says alignment required after any suspension adjustment but I’m happy to keep watching closely so far.

She didn’t. If you look at the studs closely they are unmodified when she installs the spacers. She also forgot to install the skid plate spacers when installing it…
The kit I put in my 2nd gen tacoma didnt have the diff drop spacers. I ran it anyway and after about a year I had to replace both front cv shafts. I added the drop spacers in after that.

Finished the rear. No issues. Much easier / faster than the front. Very happy so far. Monitoring to see if I need an alignment now.
Thanks for watching! -Zach
Did you need an alignment?

@@Spudski42 thanks for the report! I just put on my 1” block. Drove fine and straight.
thank you for the video much appreciated. curious though how does it ride like the feel of it with those iron blocks in?
Thanks you gave me the confidence to put my spacer in.
Thanks for watching! -Zach
Is the differential drop absolutely necessary? What is the risk of not doing it?
We highly recommend it. You'll notice that it will effect your drivability.
Did you torque anything?
So nice
Thanks for watching! -Zach

How did you grind down the studs?
She didn’t. If you look at the studs closely they are unmodified when she installs the spacers. She also forgot to install the skid plate spacers when installing it…
@Chuck Rock you can clearly see when she installs the struts with the spacers that they are in “original” condition, unmodified.
Forget 33's. Rather run with a 265/75/16.
Good tire choice! Thanks for watching! -Zach
I see many rusted parts.
Only $600 needed for this simple installation lol
There is one kit that doesn’t have those other spacers and looks like there is no need to cut anything
