    I had to use a jack and take the wheel off, I couldn't generate enough leverage to plug the rear tire. it was much easier after I took the wheel off. Also all the tire shops offer to plug the tire anyway for 25 dollars when this happens, they dont do a patch as mentioned in the other video by a commenter this is how they repair holes. one kit costs 9 dollars and has 8 plugs. you do the math!!!!!. Also, if you go to a tire shop you have to make an appt which is also a hassle, I couldn't get one soon enough so I did it myself and I will always do it now. Thank you dude!

    It should be worth noting if you have a smaller or thin screw/nail you should really use the first tool a bit more generously to actually make the hole bigger! I know this sounds counter-intuitive but trust me it makes it easier, the 2nd tool with the rubber string threaded through is fairly wide and if you try to shove that through a small hole... you're going to have a hell of a time.

      or a bicycle floor pump, actually faster, and requires no cord/plugs, no batteries. Con is that it can be pretty bulky, though.

    On your other video there was no rubber cement? How much difference does it make, is it because you used different products?

    • @fixitsamo
      @fixitsamo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Actually its the same product if you can search online for this brand and read the instructions on the package you don’t need to apply the rubber cement to plug the tire
      I used the rubber cement in this video because it helped me to insert the plug a lot easier cause i was plugging the rear tire

    I don't give a shit about legal or illegal, I've been using these plug kits for years and NEVER had a problem!!! Saved me thousands of dollars in not having to buy expensive Z-rated tires!!! I've had as many as 10 of those things in a single tire when I finally did change it and again, NO PROBLEMS!!! And that was on a Corvette!!! PLUG KITS FOREVER IS WHAT I SAY!!!

    • @cmillspa1
      @cmillspa1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends - sometimes these last until you get new tires, but if you want to play it safe and have the money, it's better to take it to the shop and have the tire patched from the inside.

    My flat is really small, it is just a pin, what can I do for it? Inserting something Into it will be really difficult because it is too narrow.

    • @fixitsamo
      @fixitsamo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to use the rimer to make the hole big enough to insert the plug
      This kit doesn't require any glue but in you're situation i suggest you use glue you can get it separately make sure to buy the same brand as the tire repair kit the glue will act as a lubricant it will help you insert the plug a lot easier make sure to wait at least 20 minutes before you drive just to give time for the glue to dry
      Good luck and drive safe

    • @gsp911
      @gsp911 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In some countries it's illegal to use.
      Probably not 100% safe to drive with.
      In Denmark, it's illegal on vehicles subject to registration.
      The method is not DOT certified, it is a temporary solution.

    • @fixitsamo

      Its a lot easier to repaire the front tires because you can turn the tires left and right it gives you a lot of room to make this type of repaire its not the same thing with the rear tire i showed my steps and method to show that its possible to repair it without removing it
