    Pretty much any time this plays in the game it means, "Things are about to go from awful to even worse"

    "I thought it was over"
    Yeah, that's a pretty common thought in this game

    Honestly i dont say it often, but i would kill to experience Nier Automata for the first time again. This is once in a lifetime experience.

    This was composed by Keigo Hoashi btw. Him and Okabe do most of the composition and there's a few tracks where they are credited together as well.

    I've never heard this song isolated from the game. this is nuts. i had no idea how much of the effect was in the song itself. very effective.

    Sound of the End, such a fitting title. Wonderful.
    I will say, though, that I find it odd that, in this mix, the quiet passage of the track just kinda... fades in. I think it feels a lot more impactful when it switches relatively abruptly, like in the OST Album version.
    This track also has a devilishly difficult piano rendition in the NieR:Automata Piano Collections Album, which I absolutely love. I hope to be able to play it one day.

      There are so many albums that I forget some of them exist and then comments like this remind me XD Gotta relisten to the piano version again soon.

    Mmmm, this is one of my favorites from Automata. It's mostly played at the end of key story moments, with one or two exceptions. I do wish the quiet version played a little more often, but when it does play it hits hard (if you know, you know). Amazing OST, and I do hope people requested the Replicant soundtrack. The original NieR's OST is only rivaled by Automata's IMO, and the remastered version is also amazing, even if some songs were radically changed (looking at you God's Bound by Rules, even if you are still great).

      @fearthemightyedelgard8137 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nicogalax Oh no I agree, I do wish there was like, one more climactic song they could've used instead. Hearing it a total of like 6 or so times by the end of Route B, then a few more times, kinda got grating. Especially when it plays almost back to back in boss fights at the end of Route A and B. It's my only complaint about the use of music in this game, but I still really love it.

    I’m surprised no one has recommended Shadowlord to you yet. If you do check it out I recommend the original one, I think it’s a lot better than the remastered version. Also a fun one to check out is The Sound Of Chaos from Drakengard 1, which is what led to the event of NieR.

      I think the ver 1.22 version of shadowlord is a lot better than the original. The instrumentals are just so much stronger and more diverse in ver 1.22, and vocals are mostly just preference here. Old shadowlord has a choir of children singing in a more hushed manor.
      Ver 1.22 the vocals are of grown women mainly and men for backups, and the voices are louder/more robust.

    • @nicogalax
      @nicogalax 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trevorveillette8415 both are completely different, the original for example has those bells and crazy organ/strings and the new version removed the bells and some of the crazy melodies of the original and replaced them with new ones

    Guessing Jesse won't see this becouse it's a "spoiler":

      Just like FF7, unfortunately I think Jesse's playing these in the wrong order. He should've played Replicant first because I think he would appreciate Automata more. He played Remake before OG FF7 too, not sure why.
      But I'm sure he'll still love them which is the main thing.

      @@nicogalax Its not really that he "needs" to play other games first. I'm not saying play Replicant JUST to enjoy Automata, Replicant is a fantastic game in it's own right. But since I imagine Jesse will end up playing Replicant anyway (because he loves the music from it) I think he should've played that first.
