In this video, I will show you the step-by-step process of how to install a new +2" lift with EFS springs and shock absorbers from Australia on a Hyundai Terracan.
One of the most important steps in the installation process is setting the torsion bar for lift. In my case, it was 7 turns, but the exact number of turns required will depend on the specific make and model of your vehicle.
During the suspension replacement, there are a few important things that you will need to be careful about. For example, it's crucial to ensure that all of the new components are properly aligned and tightened to prevent any issues down the line.
After the installation is complete, you can expect your car to be significantly safer and more stable on the road. The front part of the car will be stiffer, providing improved handling and better control over rough terrain.
Raising the chassis of off-road vehicles, also known as a suspension lift, is a modification that increases the distance between the vehicle's undercarriage and the ground. It involves replacing the factory suspension components with aftermarket parts that raise the height of the vehicle's body and frame, allowing for larger tires to be installed and providing increased ground clearance.

I just bought a similar lift kit for my terracan. I've never installed a lift kit before so its going to take me a while but hopefully all goes well. You make it look easy!
I recorded everything important in the video, in detail. I believe that you can do it. This is also my first rebuild. Time consuming two afternoons. It may be a problem to just loosen some bolts and disassembly rear shock absorbers.

I have a problem with my Terracan, no drive out of the transfer box to the front wheels. Drives perfect on the road.
If I jack all 4 wheels off the ground and put the auto box into drive, the front prop shaft is stationary and no high, low range either!

Your video is absolutely awesome. How is the ride with this suspension? Any difference compared to the stock suspension? Also where did you get the shocks from? I'm gathering parts for the lift of my Terracan as well. Currently have rear Dobinsons springs and the front spacers for the ball joint still undecided on the shock absorbers.
Thank you for the compliment. As far as driving impressions are concerned, I am gaining experience so far. There will be a video where the view of the car after lifted, now it has snowed a lot. The first impression is that the rear part car is a bit harder. The car is stronger, and more confident in corners. He leans less. I had bought IronMan, but I read a lot of reviews that it's a "working" suspension and therefore very hard. I don't know the truth. So I chose this Australian, purchased here in Europe through a Polish distributor.
What will happen if I install the bj spacer but not the metal plate you created?
I'm afraid the geometry won't be right. The wheels will not have deflection.

@@Terracan4wd I will be installing 20mm bj spacers, but the kit I bought does not include the bolts where the metal plates you created go (the metal spacers are included but the old bolts you changed for the new arent ) I have thought this could be because its just 20mm bj spacer and the metal plates are not as wide as yours, but idk. I bought it off amazon, 80 euro.
It is necessary to put new strength screws, both for the upper ball pin and for the metal washers. The original M8 and M12 screws are short. Strength at least 10.9
Are you sure these springs are installed like that? Not the other way?

Hallo, danke für den Kommentar. Sie hängt von der Hubhöhe. 8-10 mm ist der Bereich des korrekten Werts. Ich habe im Video 2 Stück 4 mm verwendet, und es muss noch etwas hinzugefügt werden.

Zakoupeno přes polského distributora, cena tlumičů a pružin EFS vč. CNC podložek pod horní ramena a jeden nový čep byla celkem 18-20 tisíc kč. Práce na dva dny po 8h.

@@mirekspevak5412 Ano ty podložky prodávám pro terracan komunitu, je to problém sehnat v malém množství (vysoké náklady na výrobu). Pružiny a tlumiče na www.allegro.pl prodejců tam je více.

Danke für den Kommentar. Der Oberarmanschlag ist da, aber es gibt einen kleineren. Jetzt habe ich einen neuen Ashika-Arm gekauft und der Anschlag ist viel größer. Jetzt weiß ich nicht, wo ich die gleiche Kleine herbekomme 😄
@@Terracan4wd abschneiden bzw. Zurechtschneiden, oder Gewindebolzen aufschweissen und dann normale Anschlagpuffer holen und draufschrauben. Ich hab das so gemacht und die zusätzlich noch eingeklebt. Weil wenn die verloren gehen, schraubt man einfach neue drauf. :-):-):-):-)
