- Originally released in 2001, directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer). Posthuman Records was the label, headed up by Marilyn Manson. This is actually the director's cut, slightly different than the version that aired on MTV. It appears on the album "2000 Years of Human Error."

People forget about these kool bands from late 90’s early 2000s and our generation is sadly fading away

2000 years of human error was so good. It's weird that these guys came out around when bands like orgy and manson were huge but got overlooked. This is one of my favorite covers.
These guys were the only band ever signed to Mansons label

One of the most overlooked bands of the early 2000's, absolutely nails Eleanor Rigby, but in their own style. Beautifully shot, beautifully recorded - great act +1
In my opinion, this is how this song was always meant to be. There just wasn't the appropriate amount of "dark" in the original even though the lyrics have it in buckets.

Growing up goth, this is a beautiful remake of the Beatles until this day. 2021,remember this,this music will never die, due covid looks like this song fits perfectly in this ball of dirt we called earth...😎🤘
A great band who never quite received the recognition & fame in metal subculture that they deserved. Remembering listening to them in the early 00’s as a teen.

I am 58 Gen X original and this was rad ....That many years ago! Funny thing is ...The video totally synches up with The Verve Bitter Sweet Symphony! High! Discovered that a few years ago...Forgot to explain!
my old band Abwhore opened for these guys back in 1999 at a teeny tiny club here in Atlanta. I remember them being very cool and down to Earth and a few folks traveled quite a distance just to see them. We were shocked to see them on TV with this video. But glad someone was having a little bit of fortune. :)
I worked Security for the band at DragonCon every year they played...those of us working the stage always had a blast singing along to this song while tossing pit surfers back into the pit...

How awesome was Godhead back in the day? I miss them madly but i know Jason has moved on to bigger and better things and im happy for him and all the band and wish them well. They made my night 2 times simply because i got to meet Jason and Method back in the day for a quick photo op that will always be a good memory for me. People keep stealing this CD from me and i will probably never get another one again but that's ok because at least i have the memories of it all. True gentlemen that actually do a show then come out to mingle with fans like me for photo ops. How much better can it get? I will never forget the 2 times i met Jason and Method. I wish them all the best and lots of success. Big ups and mad love to Godhead!
Back in the day? well they played in underground clubs (1990's) mostly, but they were still unknown to rivetheads and goths alike. Not sure how or why they broke into the mainstream. They found small success but of course were never big like Marylin Manson.
how awesome was godhead? so awesome that when i saw them open for rammstein almost 20 years ago that they got boo'd off stage and the lead singer threw a little temper tantrum. was at the showbox in seattle

I have not been able to listen to The Beatles sing this song since I first discovered Godhead singing it. Our family loves this version and my son uses it to get jingles out of his head🤯🤣
I used to see Godhead at a dive bar in Maryland. Power tool stigmata was out then. Awesome band. I give them tons of props. Originality and artistic vision, great band.

Saw them at DragonCon in the early 2000s. Great show, really nice guys too.
First song I ever heard by these guys almost 20 yrs ago, loved the cover and went on to love the rest of their stuff. Coincidentally it made me search out some of The Beatles other tunes and it turned me on to Helter Skelter among other McCartney tracks
For what it's worth,: music like godhead, stabbing westward, etc has a deeper meaning than most generic garbage and trash most top 100 bands are. I say that because it's bands like this that got me through the darkest of times. I have always wanted to he the lead singer of a goth/ industrial band , but due to life and me giving up because stabbing westward broke up, and daily depression in life started to take its toll. Now, years later, stabbing westward had reunited proving that one mistake can be fixed. I mean look, they have a new album (chasing ghosts) and Chris even overcame throat cancer. Jason, if your even reading this, please consider reuniting godhead. Broken people need to hear your amazing music. Its OK if you keep doing your country thing, but "goth" is what you are, and many fans would like to see the godhead project come back together. Come on, just one more album please. When I upload my sinking cover, I'll update this comment with an edit as well. Take care man, I wish you the best.
One of the most underrated bands ever. "I Hate Today" is still one of my all-time favourite songs. And this cover is amazing!
I love this cover! I saw this band as a warmup at a Rammstein concert back in the day. Godhead all came out, and stood with the crowd to watch Rammstein. I was like 2ft from the lead of Godhead during the rest of the concert. :) What a kickass concert that was!

Amazing Band! Saw you guys back in 2002 when you played an off day show from Ozzfest in Idaho Falls, ID with Otep, Systematic, Taproot, Union Underground, Mudvayne, and Drowning Pool before Dave Williams death. It was a great show that totally killed it and inspired me! You guys rock!

I remember when this video came out. There was a very brief controversy about the video because people were running from something in panic and fear. Shortly after, the 9/11 tragedy occurred. Since the tragedy was covered and the anticipation of Slipknot's release of Iowa, it barely made a blip in the major networks and rock magazines.
Having bought 2000 years of Human Error and Evolver, these guys don't get half the credit they deserve in the metal world.

I will always love gODHEAD.....I am still good friends with them. We have no great Local bands here like the ones back then that we had.....That life was meant for us to absorb & take it with us as a beautiful memory. I will never forget. I am 70, I went to woodstock 1. I think this video of E. Rogby is better than the one the Beatles made way back when I was a little teeny hippie! I love gODHEAD
2:41 I've loved that shot since I was about 16. It's a short sweet camera shot but I loved it even as a kid.

Forgot about this band entirely until I learned that the singer, Jason C Miller, sang on the Final Fantasy XIV soundtrack for the Ultima Thule zone (Close in the Distance). He's definitely improved since the 2000's!

Mike Miller the guitarist has been so talented since I first met him in middle school. And he was always such a nice kid. My best friend Kathy was always in love with him lol.

You are the most progressive of the industrial metal bands out there, as Fashion Bomb is the most technical (the guys of Fashion Bomb are friends of mine.)

We (The New Creatures) were working on our own cover of the same tune at the very same. When we opened up for them at the BatCave it was like, "well scrap that idea"
I did NOT want to like this,a I did not want to like Disturbed's version of "Sound of Silence",..but,as with that song,I feel the same with this song. I really do like this. Sometimes you cant deny a cover of song,and this is at once heavy rock,and still retains the depth of the original vocals.

Not so sure these are all better than their original versions, but they are some great covers.
Saw them back when they opened for Manson at the Guns God and Government tour. They were honestly a better band then washed up Manson, IMO.
I saw them back then too (the first of 4 times I saw Godhead within the span of a couple years) and I didn't like them at all that first time. Their amps weren't adjusted properly so everything was just a wall of indistinct sound. I thought maybe it was just a one-off mistake but they sounded the same way to me at Ozzfest the next year.
By the time I saw them with Rammstein a few months after that though, they had it mostly worked out, and they sounded great by the time I heard them with Pigface a year or two after that.
As for Manson, I would say he was a few years away from being washed up at that point. Golden Age of Grotesque is when he started to really go downhill.
